Re: Chronic Car Buyers Anonymous
The simple answer is to have an EV for most of your day-to-day driving, and then a gas alternative when you have the need. Easy-peasy!
Funny story on perspective of car ownership for this group....
We had an arctic front come through Colorado this past weekend. Snowfall wasn't too heavy, but those cold temps still made for potentially slick driving conditions. Nevertheless, Friday evening, we carried on with our indoor tennis court reservation from 8:00 to 10:00 pm. One of the tennis players asked me which Porsche I drove that night. I laughed and said that just 'cause my 911 is all wheel drive, I'm not taking it out in these conditions. He looked a little confused and responded, "but doesn't your wife drive a Porsche too?"
I quickly realized...the thought didn't cross his mind that the two of us would have any more than one car each. I told him I have an Audi SUV also and drove that, and he replied, "of course, I should have known you have a third car." I didn't respond any further.

With y'all musing like this, I may need to rethink my long-distance driving habits.

If you like green this may be the car for you.The question I have is why anyone would drop serious coin on a car that's seriously that ugly?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuKgdjczRTs

You have a gas pump at your house? Because that's where the EV charger is.————————————————Just curious but when an ICE car consumes a lot of gas it’s called a gas hog. Has a term been created yet for EV’s that consume a goodly amount of electricity for whatever reason. If not, allow me to offer up…”Battery Killer” or “Battery Sucker”.It's difficult to draw a line in the sand. I'd say the larger EV vehicles, which won't fully charge overnight on a standard Level 2 charger, such as the Silverado, Lightning, CyberTruck, etc., would qualify.

I’m surprised a Level 2 charger can’t recharge a Silverado etc. over night. How many Level 2 charging hours does it take to get it to 100%? Or should I say 80%.
Regardless of how cold it’s ever been, I could fill my gas tank from near empty to full in less than 4 minutes. That sounds like one more nail in the coffin against EV’s as far as @driver100 is concerned.

What does it matter? CA is planning on banning and crushing them anyway.🥲Given the owners and prices of a lot of the houses list I assume a staggering number of classic cars, some very rare, were lost.

Hey guys, no posts in here since around 9AM this morning. This is what happens when your dues are not current as of the end of the previous year.
