My heart aches for you. We’ve had temps in the teens with single digits predicted for next week. I’ll gladly trade with you. And I’m sure there are some in here that will have weather at least as bad as what we’ll be getting and I’m not talking about @xwesx, either.

After many years of living in Ohio, I will never complain about our California winter weather to those living further east. I always wanted to kill the warm weather folks who lamented about living with weather in the 50 s.

I had to get rid of a 50" Sony TV.....the first large ones were a combination of LCD and a tube I think....they were very think and heavy. I advertised it for $10 and a woman came in a van and took it for her teenager who wanted to use it for video games. When she loaded it I told her to keep the $10, I only did that because most people will think it is junk if offered for free.

garage sale, market place, buy nothing. They all work for getting rid of stuff!

Our development has two dedicated garage sale weekends (Fri-Sat) each year. Just a matter of yanking everything out of the basement and into the garage.

Our neighborhood does that too. Helpful hint, don't clean out your garage on the same weekend.

I wasn’t thinking about garage doors having to be moved. That’s over 5 grand right there but that was for 2 doors. However, most folks would only need to do 1 door. Given the cost for 2 doors, maybe adding a few more bucks to building a deeper garage would have worked if you had the room to do that. I know you have the money.
