:) Picked up the van with pkg 2 (yes 2 not 3, there was misunderstanding where I thought he quoted with 3. wanted those curtain airbags but i guess i didnt wanted to lose the deal.) Out the door was 24367 (knocked off close to price diff between package 2 and 3)..

Dealership is libertyville toyota, libertyville, il and you go throught their internet sales.

When (what season) does Toyota have really good (special) owner financing?
  • whoamiwhoami Member Posts: 1
I am looking for the same vehicle - a 2006 XLE Limited with package #3. What was the price of the offer you got from the dealer?
  • rottlvr2rottlvr2 Member Posts: 7
I just rec. a quote on a 05 Sienna LE AWD with package #4 at $28,068 before their $2000 rebate that they have going on 05 Le AWD models. Looking for some input. This is an awesome site!

Plus Floor Mats and Sill Protector for $25166 plus Tax & Tags. Only had 10 miles on it too and arrived at the deareship that morning.
Yes it's a 2006 and I think the dealership made an error, but I wasn't going to argue with them. :)
    I am very happy.
  • bbbsssbbbsss Member Posts: 4
What State are you in? And what City and dealership did you get this price?
  • michelle11michelle11 Member Posts: 4
Yes, it is a very good deal if it includes advertising cost. I bought a 2005 LE AWD + package 4 last week. It is 28332 (including advertising + floor mats) before any rebate. I took the $1000 rebate (after tax is added of course). I didn't take the other $1000 since I wanted 3.9 APR.
  • wannasiennawannasienna Member Posts: 4
That's a good deal... I'm buying one for $36,900, but by the time they
have fun adding in all their fees, it's just over $40K. And the real
news is, by the time I finish paying for it, it's $47K! I'm just
sucking it up and taking it month-by-month. :shades:

    ramcfall, "Run-flat, self-sealing, PAX tires for Minivans" #35, 9 Dec 2004 1:11 pm

Although some people like the PAX tires, READ posting # 38 in this Edmund's Town Hall Forum to see if you want the Odyssey Touring with PAX tires. :shades:
.....Hmmm, a Ford pickup more comfortable on the same road than an Odyssey that costs as much as a Cadillac?

Many Sienna owners are also not happy with run-flat tires.
  • rottlvr2rottlvr2 Member Posts: 7
After reading many bad things about the run flat tire saga and the no spare saga as well, I am inclined not to purchase an AWD Sienna. I was suprised to read about the customer service horror stories as well. That is not the Toyota I have known for the last 10 years.

I received a quote of $23,010 for a new 2005 Sienna LE 7 passenger w/package 1 plus floor mats and door sill covers. This is from a so-called no-haggle delearship. Does anyone know if this is a good price? Thanks.
  • bbbsssbbbsss Member Posts: 4
YES. That is great price considering the invoice is 23,685, and you are 675 below invoice. Verify that destination charges also included. What state, and city did you get this quote from?
  • artgpoartgpo Member Posts: 483
Don't forget the rebate which is probably included. So the great deal may not be so great after all.
  • msmack44msmack44 Member Posts: 2
This quote is from Autofair in Manchester NH.

I am in the process of purchasing a Sienna from a dealer that is not local. Anybody else purchase from a dealer that was far away - how did it go?

The price agreed to is $27,500 for an LE w/ package #6. I will post about the experience once we have the vehicle. Still waiting for it to arrive.

Does anybody know how long it typically takes from when the vehicle is built until it arrives at the dealer?
  • ramblingwomanramblingwoman Member Posts: 7
Is this a 2006 or 2005? Also is this just the cost of the van or is it drive out cost?
  • pappy55pappy55 Member Posts: 41
Just picked up a new 2005 LE 8-passenger with package 2 in natural white for $24,000 (24,900 out the door). Not exactly a great deal, but the wife just HAD to have it. Replaced a 1996 Ford Windstar that served us well at 153k miles. Didn't trade it - still sitting in our driveway with a "For Sale" sign on it. :D Shopped other brands but the Toyota really is the Lexus of minivans.

With 3 kids, we love the 3-seat middle row. The flexibility is fantastic. Overall, haven't found any faults with the van. Very satisfied with the Sienna and Modern Toyota of Winston-Salem.

I am looking at a 2006 Sienna 7 pass. LE I don't know the number of whatever options package it has. It seems nicely equipped and has everything I want except the DVD system (any thoughts on dealer installed vs. Best Buy at 1/2 the cost). It has a trip computer and side air bags. I have a quote of 25K from 1 dealer and 24,700 from another. This is without TTL of 2K, the DVD system, and the extended warranty ($1600). What do y'all think of the extended warranties by the way? It served me well on my 95 Gr. Caravan which had to have it's transmission and air conditioner replaced relatively early on. Does this price sound fair?
  • hansiennahansienna Member Posts: 2,312
Toyota Platinum Warranty for 2006 Sienna is Toyota written and backed. IF the warranty has not been used at the end of the time or mileage coverage, the entire purchase price will be refunded if the original owner still owns the Sienna. ;)
  • josilverjosilver Member Posts: 1
We went shopping for a Sienna today and were quoted the following prices: 2006 LE /including tax, tags, processing fee and rebate- $24,942. 2005 LE / Including tax, tags etc... $23,781. :confuse:
  • dudleyrdudleyr Member Posts: 3,469
It is a 2006. The cost is the drive out cost. Since it is out of state I will have to pay taxes when I register the vehicle.

:) i saw some of the siennas lowering a lot, we the seat were full, is it suppose tio be like that, cuz the 2006 honda odyssey doesn't
  • hansiennahansienna Member Posts: 2,312
Hmmm...Back end of Odyssey has been notorious for sagging worse than any other minivan with a load.
Wonder what Honda did to correct that flaw?
I have never read that the Sienna back end sagged with a load prior to this posting.
  • lilcrzy4cars2lilcrzy4cars2 Member Posts: 4
you see, my neighbor had a sienna andsold it to buy a honda odyseesy a couple months becuase of failure in loading and hardly and power ove mountain. when they went on a trip with the odyssey, it was so easy for them to cross mountain, even though the sienna was new :confuse:

I am slow in reporting my buying experience in Spokane, WA. We purchased a 2005 Sienna package 3, with 8 seats for $500 over invoice, then minus the $600 rebate for final price $100 under invoice. We also had floor mats which were also at dealer cost. We made this purchase at the end of September.

We purchased our vehicle from Appleway Toyota in Spokane. We had a very positive expereince with them. We used one of their regular salesman for this purchase. We test drove the vehichle in July, then looked at them again in September before we decided our purchase. We were also looking at the Honda at the time as well.

Before we got that price we emailed a bunch of dealers for price requests, we did that from www.toyota.com. We found out using toyota.com it takes approximately 48 hours once you submit your request for toyota.com to forward it to the appropriate dealer. We then called the salesman we had been working with and told him what we were doing and what was his best quote, he got back to us 20 minutes later, with the vehicle we wanted at $500 over invoice minus the rebate for a final price of $100 below invoice. We waited a couple of days to see responses, at the time we did not know about the 48 hour delay and were dissapointed in not getting any quotes, so we called around to dealerships and got quotes that way. No one could come close to that price. Kirkland Toyota tried but they finally said, that is a good price and buy it because they could not match it. Our experience with Kirkland Toyota was positive overall. Very helpful and friendly staff.

When we first test drove the vehicle the only price quote I could get from him was MSRP price.

We did have to wait to get the vehicle, we were given two choices, we could have the vehicle within a week with about 500 miles, or wait three to four weeks for 30 miles on the vehicle. If we wanted it right away they would have someone drive it up from Oregon, if we waited three weeks it would arrive on a truck. Since we were down to one vehicle and a hectic soccer schedule we decided to get it with 500 miles, and had the vehicle 5 days later, we actually could have gotten it 3 days later, but they did not know it would arrive that quickly and our bank was closed that day.

The vehicle came with a full tank of gas. The buying experience was positive, we went in one day to put some money down and placed the order less than 30 minutes, then when the vehicle arrived it took us about an hour to get the purchase done. They did try to sell us various overprice extended warranty packages, which we declined, that person was very polite and did not try to push them on us once we said no. After all the paperwork was signed the salesman spent almost an hour with my wife going over the vehicle and showing how everything, worked which was quite helpful. The salesman was very knowledgeable on how everything worked. A lot faster method than reading the owners manual.

A side bonus, we needed 100 pizza'a for a school function and he had contacts with Domino's pizza and we got a killer deal for those pizza's. Much better than the best deal we had at the time.

Another side bonus, the sales slip from the Oregon dealership was in the car and showed that they had put a pinstripe on the van that added $89 to the cost. But that cost was never passed on to us. So a small freeby.

In hindsight I would have tried to dicker some extra keys and remote control from Appleway before closing the deal.

Overall we had an excellent experience with Appleway and would recommend them as a place to go and get a price quote from. Also it was nice to be able to give the salesman the sales instead of going to the salesman for a test drive then buying the vehicle from an internet salesman instead.

Just reserved a 05 CE 7 passenger for 22,500. After the rebate it will be 21,000. They claim it's $100 under invoice. There's not many of these left in my area so they are having one shipped from Philly for no additional charge (charged a $500 refundable deposit though). They didn't want to give much for my trade in but I don't feel like trying to sell it myself. Overall, I was pleased with the dealership. I haven't signed the papers yet though, so I'll see if they try to sneak in some hidden charges. I'm still not sure if I should pick up the additional warranty though. I think they said it's $790 for 7 yr/75,000 miles.
  • hansiennahansienna Member Posts: 2,312
    Additional Warranty?
There are many different additional warranties and even variation in additional warranties sold by Toyota. Make sure the warranty is a genuine Toyota backed warranty and not some 3rd party.
The "Platinum" 7 year 75,000 mile $ 0 (Zero) deductible warranty that covers everything but wear and tear ( brake linings, tires, windshield wiper blades, etc.) cost my friend Carl $1,349 BUT the entire $ 1349 is REFUNDABLE at the end of either 7 years or 75,000 miles if the additional warranty was never used. (I have read his paperwork and the actual warranty mailed to him by Toyota.)

I have been looking at the Sienna for a while now. I was just offered $37447 for a 2005 XLE AWD fully loaded (DVD, NAV, leather, etc - not sure of the package #). It only has 100 miles on it. Sticker was 42900, and they had $1500 cash back which was taken off to get the above price (I know I still have tax/tags on top of this). Does this sound fair?? It is the last 2005 XLE they have. Any opinions would be a big help.
  • ramblingwomanramblingwoman Member Posts: 7
Thats high on that warrenty. I have had several dealers quote me $1,100 for the Plantunum 7 year 100,000 warrenty with zero deductible. Check around more the Extended warrenty is very negoatable like anything else.
  • hansiennahansienna Member Posts: 2,312
THANKS for the information. I need to shop now so that if I buy a new Sienna I will know where to get the best price for a genuine "Toyota" backed extended warranty. ;)
I won't tell Carl about pricing. He thought he got a good deal on his 2006 Sienna LE. :confuse:

I need some quick feedback please. I live in Orlando where there are 4 large Toyota dealerships. The best price I have found is $27,440 (out-the-door) for a 2006 Sienna LE with package 2 and a dealer-installed 10 1/2" screen DVD system with 4 headsets. They want $1800 additional for a 7yr/100k "mirror" Toyota warranty that covers everything but rubberbelts/hoses etc. Is this a good price? Hurry!
  • ramblingwomanramblingwoman Member Posts: 7
No way is that a good price. They are trying to rip you off BIG TIME. At toyotafinancial.com it gives the price of the Toyota Platinum extended warrenty for 7yr/100000 warrenty at $1400 for $50/deductable and $1450/zero deductable. I am in Ga and I had several dealers offer me this warrenty for $1,100. Hang tough and renogoate with them. The warrenty is like buying jewery the mark ups are huge and you just have to get them to come down. The more they sell it for the higher there commissions.
  • wannasiennawannasienna Member Posts: 4
No! So are you saying that they were originally offering you $38,947 for a 2005? Go somewhere else. You may want to find out what package that was too. For that price, you can get a 2006, and at least a package 2 if you negotitate well.

I'm looking to get an 06 AWD XLE Limited with package 2 (leather, DVD, and Navigation) in NJ. I'm amazed at some of the postings saying they got this for $36k+. The best price quote I got was $38,754 or roughly $500 above invoice. The dealer also gave me a quote for leasing this car for $525/month for 36 months/15k miles. Money factor was .00094 (2.3% interest). However, he asked for $3500 inception fees (out of pocket costs) which includes 1 month payment ($525), tax ($1400) and bank fees ($800). That leaves $775 down. Is the lease a good deal?

I just got my car yesterday with the following options:

    06 2WD XLE Limited
    option package #3 (HT)
    accessory package (Z1)
    running boards (RB)
    auto-dimming mirror
    salsa red

    $37263
    $40995.20 including TTL (N. Calif)

It is a beauty! I love it. And it is smart too! (it takes voice commands better than my wife!)

This is an excellent deal. Fitzmall.com in MD has 2006LE8 + Pkg #1 only for $23700. Carsdirect.com has it for $1000 more. HOw many miles on your car? I would run to get it if is less than 10 miles. Where did you get the deal?
  • kevinj1kevinj1 Member Posts: 1
That's a great price. How can I get in on that deal?

I got a price of 25,000 before the 1500 rebate, Tax and Lic.

    Is it a good buy?
  • dudleyrdudleyr Member Posts: 3,469
Just purchased a Sienna from Jon Lancaster Toyota in Madison WI.

Very nice buying experience overall. There was a hiccup with the payment because of some misunderstandings, but they were helpful in getting it straightened out.

The price was good for our area, $27,500 for package #6 (including everything but tax and tags). Of course there is a $500 rebate in some parts of the country, so I am sure some can do better still.

I would reccomend this dealer to anybody in the area. They are courteous and professional.

    LE has Leather?? Great deal.
  • bbbsssbbbsss Member Posts: 4
Where in SFO, what dealer? What color did you get? I saw an add in the paper that Capital Toyota were selling the FE option, basic model with no options, for 22,888 in silver pine.
  • ymymymymymym Member Posts: 3
It looks that dealers are willing to give deep discount for luxury upgrades for 2005 models at this time. I negotiated with them by splitting the car and the leather upgrade. Finally, they agree to sell the car with invoice price and charge me $400 for the leather. I live in Los Angeles area.
  • ashburyashbury Member Posts: 9
Can you clarify the model you purchased. According to the brochure, the LE does not come with a leather option, only the XLE version.
    thanks

    side note - great price

Congra. for your new Sienna! May I ask which dealership is that from, I am considering to get the same one! Thanks!
  • ymymymymymym Member Posts: 3
The model is LE. I think the upgrade is done by the dealer. There are two window sticks in the car, one from Toyota with MSRP and another written by the dealer for the price of the leather upgrade.
