IF the 2 warranties provide exactly the same coverage, my friend will lose the interest on the additional cost he paid.
THANKS for your information. IF I get a new Sienna, this information will be a valuable bargaining tool.

I think you should use Edmund's TMV to price the exact same vehicle in your zip code. My friend got his 2006 Sienna LE with pkg # 2 for slightly less than Edmund's TMV.
Toyota Customer Service Satisfaction 800-331-4331
Thanks
Edmund's does NOT include the factory $214 Carpeted Floor Mats option but gives TMV for the LE 7 w/pkg # 2 as $ 25,591. My friend paid $ 25,698 + Doc Fee, Utah Tire Recycle Tax $ 5, License and Registration Fee of $ 39, and Utah $ 150 Fee in lieu of property tax + Utah 6.6 % Sales tax. (He paid $ 107 for the $ 214 factory option and got the rest for TMV).
Based on my understanding, non-residents of Utah do NOT have to pay Utah Sales Tax if not used or licensed in Utah. I do not know about the $ 150 fee, etc.
He got it at Mark Miller Toyota Salt Lake City, UT 84101 from a regular salesman with NO haggling. He simply asked the salesman for their best price. Mark Miller additional Doc Fee of $ 239 is one of the lowest in the Salt Lake City area...altho higher than many parts of the USA.
You may be able to get a better price closer to your home....but knowing names and addresses can help you negotiate with your dealer.
If you want the salesman's name, write me at my address in Edmund's profile.
I didn't like the fact that I'd to pay the sales tax on full price including the rebate and there was $199 documentation fee which I was told it standard in entire NJ.
Can anyone confirm the doc. fees?
Overall, this site was extremely useful and helpful. I went to this dealership and came back 3 times earlier but I stuck to my offer based on reviews on this site and it finally clicked. Thanks all posters for your help. :P
What is $500 rebate? Is it 7 or 8 passenger?
I'm told by a dealer that invoice price on LE 8 passenger Package #4 (BZ) is $26204.:surprise:
Edmunds.com shows $25,175. I wanted package #3 but he could only find Package #4.
He's willing to sell $300 over invoice + $125 documentation fee.
Also, he said, the difference between BZ for 7 and BZ for 8 passenger is that 8 passenger have three row side curtain bags extra. I think he's wrong. Please confirm :confuse:
Thanks,
$500 is the rebate from Toyota for 06 Sienna for NJ.
It's 7 psg but I was offered 2005 LE 8 psg with BZ for 24.5k
BZ for 7 or 8 should be same as 8 psg config has a middle seat in the 2nd row which I don't think required any additional side curtain bags.
If you are looking for BW(pkg #3) then I would suggest your best bet is darcars or carmax and in both case you will have to pick up the car from DC/MD area but their prices are the best I've seen.
Thanks, Trev
Is this rebate only for NJ? Where do I find this information? I can show this to the dealer here and see if he can do something about it.
Do you remember price for BW(#3) from darcars or carmax?
Thanks,
Local dealer says, he never heard of this and use regilar gas with octane of 87.
Gas is expensive now and hate to buy 91?
Any comments????
Thanks for any input.
As jipster suggested, use Edmund's used car pricing and use your judgement as to the condition of the vehicle. I feel like jipster and personally do not like to own and drive vehicles with 100,000 or more miles but one daughter is driving a 1991 Astro with 211,000 miles on it and takes it on trips 300 miles one way. :confuse: You may also compare with another un-named site just to confirm Edmund's accuracy. It appears that your friend is offering you a fairly good deal. :P
Just checked Edmund's Used Car Pricing. In OUTSTANDING condition there is an addition of $ 707 for total Trade In of $12,357 and Retail $ 15,668 for a Sienna CE with those options in my zip code area.
Values for GOOD condition drop to $ 11,647 Trade-in and Retail $ 14,817.
Values for Average condition has a $ 1607 deduction for condition to $ 10,200 Trade-in and Retail $ 12,910.
Thanks guys.
Would you care to share the dealer info?
Thanks,
I am also looking out for a LE - Package 4. You seem to have got an excellent price. I am also from NJ, would greatly appreciate, if you could share the name of the dealer.
Also, did anyone ever consider LE 2005 - Package ? if yes. What was the best quote ?
Thanks a lot,..
the price quoted to me is $25995-1000.00 rebate for a total of 24,995.00
of course thier is tax and tags and such is this a good price for an 05.
THis is the first dealer I went to and they said no one would touch this offer I just wanted to get everyone's opinion.
THanks jaxydog
If anyone live near York in PA, do not go to Diehl Toyota! They will try everything to make a little extra money. I'll be expanding my search this week to other local dealerships in surroundings cities.
After much reading and lot of reviews I think I got a pretty fair deal
Price paid $25900.00
-500.00 rebate in NJ
Total cost $25,400.00 plus of course tax and tags.
If anyone would like information on where i purchased in South Jersey or with Whom let me know. thanks Everyone
Has anyone any knowledge of these prices? Was it any use during negotiations for buying new Sienna?
Thnaks,
You don't have to buy from them and I am not associated with them.
There are many other similiar dealers' websites out there for Toyota and other makes.
Exercise your own judgement and good luck.
They had only 1 LE with Pkg 4 when I took the delivery but they had on 05 LE with the same pkg but it was 8 seater. It's almost a week and they may have more stock arrived. So no harm in trying. One recomm. is that try to go when very few people are around like weekday lunch time.
Hope this helps.

Please post other sites similar to carmax.com. I called them and they didn't have what I wanted.
Thanks

They are located in washington DC area. I looked at all of them for my recent car buying and helping my dad, my girlfriend ($$$
.
Some of them have price listed. It may not be the lowest you can get, but you can save some time for price negotiation. Others simply put MSRP and "invoice" there for reference purpose. All of them have their inventory posted, so the bottom line is, you can ask your sales to "move" the vehicle you like for you if he/she wants your business.
.
When I looked at minivan for my dad, I also searched for Honda, the only one available on the web in our area is
www.joneshonda.com at Lancaster, PA.
.
There must be more out there for other areas. If any one knows additional "online inventory/pricing" sites, please share with us. I personally don't like the "online quote" which you have to leave your phone number before you can get the quote. Some of them still kept calling me even after I told not to call me, -- you soon will have all sales persons' name working in that dealership.
.
Hope this helps and always exercise your best judgement.
