2006 Honda Odyssey LX 4dr Minivan (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
I got the following info from one dealer in Natick, MA back in May but am wondering what the invoice and out the door pricing looks like currently due to changing factory to dealer incentives at Honda, etc.
msrp: $25,895
dealer invoice: $23,362
Your cost: $22,995
base price : 30424
Music link (ipod) : 350
Subwoofer : 400
Documentation fee : 57.33
Elect. Registration : 25
State tax : 2187.94
county tax : 15
registration : 143
Total : 33602.27
I think its a pretty good deal. I bought it from Continetal Honda in Chicago area. The sales were really helpfu.
best regards
amit
By the way, in case I want to lease (3 years, 45,000 miles), can anyone post details about the current leasing program - money factor, residual value, acquisition fee, security deposit, disposition fee, etc.? My impression is that there has been no lease support for the longest time. I am also tracking the leasing forum, but that is not as lively a forum as this one.
Hosts kyfdx and car_man were very helpful to me last year vis a vis my lease of a 2006 BMW 330i. I felt very well informed before talking turkey with dealers. I hope to be in the same position vis a vis the purchase or lease of a new Ody.
$24,090 sales price
$550 destination and handling
$6.50 Lemon Law
$499 dealers fees
$1508.73 tax
$50 county tax
$2 registration fee
$225 new tag
Total of $26,931.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is EX-L DVD/Nav, so it has leather seats, navigation and rear entertainment system. And I have bought it..not leased. Hope it helps.
Anyways, the dealer that just got one in today honored the prices quoted on the internet.
3 mi on it before my 7 mi test drive
Your price: 30,320
Freight: 550
processing fee: 100
wheel locks: 100
cargo tray: 119
splash guards: 140
Total: 31,329
VA 3% tax: 939.87
VA tags: 83.50
Total: 32,352.37 OTD
I got the 2.9% financing.
Thanks everyone. This board was invaluable. Hope they have something like this when I want to replace my car now that my wife's set. Good luck out there!
Thanks much ... we'll report back!

Remember that you don't have to pay "processing fees." The deals I see on here are good deals even with the extra dealer fees so it's a moot point, but it could be even better without them!
Hope that helps.
There's a section somewhere here by the site's owners that lists it that way - you can't get much more authoritative than that!
Thank you for any assistance....
I'm in Portland OR, not ready to buy an Odyssey yet, but not looking forward to trying to get a price similar to that which most others here are reporting.
There a Seattle area Honda salesman who posts here regularly who is of the view that most of the reports of extremely low prices are, to put it mildly, exaggerations.
Where prices are SO much higher than elsewhere, a roadtrip might be worthwhile.
-back up sensors (including installation)
-cargo tray
-mud guards
We got it from the Internet Department at Maroone in Hollywood. Also got very competitive prices from the Maroone in Miami.
It took a number of go-arounds...one dealer would offer one price, we'd get someone else to match it, etc. We were hovering slightly above 30K for OTD and finally just asked for $29.5K and went with the dealer (Maroone) who came closest.
Very high prices from Rick Case Honda, the Coral Springs Honda dealer and Key Largo.
Thanks to everyone who helped us along the way!
P.S. The most stressful part of the whole process was when it came down to financing. Our salesguy was nice and low-key, but the financing guy gave us a very hard time when we didn't agree to do the extended warranty/Low Jack policy with gap insurance. He was a jerk!
Experience #1- Mike Pruitt Honda in Akron. We had a stipulation from our ending lease that if we bought from them again, they would pay an end of term fee. After two hours in the showroom with a salesperson, they came back with a figure of MSRP minus the fee. Dear Husband got up and left immediately.
Requested quotes from about 12 dealers in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area. Initial prices quoted as follows:
Classic 27668
Park 27548
Matia 27768
Mentor 28858
Sunnyside 27708
Ganley 27718
Roush 27268
Youngstown 27869
Apostalakis 27400
Waikem (never replied)
Motorcars (wanted to talk to me before giving a quote)
Rick Case (did not submit a quote, only said that they would beat any written quote)
Wanted to purchase from Classic since we live close by. Asked them to meet the Roush or Park price. After talking about it, they did lower it to 27468. Viewed their selection and left to think about it.
Went to see the Internet guy at Roush (would highly recommend this guy- gave a great price the first quote out, and didn't try to inflate the prices of accessories. Didn't follow through with the actual transaction with him, but would suppose that he would continue in the same thoughtful manner), Roush had the olive interior, and we had not viewed that yet. Preferred the ivory interior which they did not have in stock.
Called Classic and aksed if they would throw in the all weather floor mats and tray for the 27468, which would beat the Roush deal. They said yes to the mats, no to the tray, so I still got the same deal as my lowest bid, and got the cargo tray for $100. Letting the salesperson know that getting the same Honda all weather mats and tray on Ebay would save me $53 over their price(including shipping) may have helped.
On Classic: Like the internet manager- knowledgable guy who didn't seem to want to mess with us, no pressure for warrantees or other stuff, no surprises in the contract. Did not like how one salesperson tried to tell me that the $250 doc fee was "required by the state of Ohio" and that there is no profit there. (I read otherwise here) He also tried to tell me that the dealer cost on the mats/tray were MUCH higher than possible (this is when I countered with Ebay). It took 1 1/2 hours to complete paperwork, and the internet guy took us through all of the fun stuff quickly but thoroughly. Only had it a day, but can't see anything wrong with it at all.
As an aside, we tried to get quotes from Toyota dealers (my husband has been driving Accords for 10 years and we had the Odyssey LX since 2002, so he was tired of the look), only one dealer sent back a quote. Each and every other dealer wanted to talk on the phone or have us come in. Didn't want the hassle, and I had heard the reputation of Toyota sales staff.
MSRP: $28,945
Negotiated price:
$24,800 plus tax and tags --
I got an ok value on my trade, I think (basically KBB value -- but I didn't expect top trade dollar with a bargain sales price)
Negotiated the terms with the GM over the phone, finished the deal today with my salesperson, in and out in an hour, not even enough time for my kids to get bored. Overall, I rather pleasant experience, and I love my new car (it hardly feels like a van).
So -- how did I do?
I had the same problem and eventually went with my local dealer Klein Honda. I dealt with a very nice and helpful salesperson. I didn't get a great deal like some on this board, but I was happy with the experience, service, and the vehicle I got. I used the 'costco' price. I e-mailed other Honda dealers in Seattle and got pretty much the same price. Before TTL I got the EX-L DVD & NAV w/ Mudguards, Wheel Locks, & Roof Cross Bars for $32,900... more than I wanted to pay, but I got a color I wanted and the 4.9% financing. Overall I'm really excited about my 1st brand new vehicle and my choice of the Odyssey.
I originally got the extended warranty from the dealer, but after researching the other posting on here I think I'm going to get a better deal through 'hondacareguy'! It was a better plan with $0 deductible for $40 less than what I paid at Klein.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Your dealer's "bottom line" of $25828 is even higher than the initial internet price quotes I received from local dealers after requesting quotes through Autobytel and edmunds, so you know there's a lot of room for movement there. (My initial quotes, from Conicelli and Piazza/Drexel Hill, were around $25610, which was basically invoice minus $500, passing on the $500 manufacturer to dealer incentive.) Best of luck to you!!
Also, $1046 off of MSRP is not really a great deal anyway.
Thank you.
Also, I think I put in the wrong $ for Apostalakis- it was somewhere around 27700.
Yes, he was referring to an auction house. They run them in various areas of the country and many dealers use their numbers to calculate trade-in values. Those auction prices are often vastly different (usually lower) than popularly published figures.
Also the undercoating seems odd.
Just bought a new ex-l with dvd 28,500 plus tax and license fees with pro pack included. Nice guys at Norm Reeves Honda in Southern California. Send me a e-mail I will give you the guys number I dealt with out here in Cali if your looking for a Odyssey.
Jerry
1. What is pro pack?
2. What type of discount should I get on a 2006 vs. a 2007? Trying to decide if I should wait for 2007's especially if they can't find the color I want in an '06.
3. Any thoughts on the MDX vs. the Odyssey? Both have 3 rows of seats..van slightly bigger but not as much as I thought....
Thanks!

2. Just read the posts to this thread for the past couple of months and you'll get a good idea of current Odyssey pricing which is very subject to local conditions. The street prices of '07s as they hit the ground will be higher. By how much (and how soon they'll decline) nobody knows at this point.
3. If it's a financial decision, it depends on what your buy-out is for the Acura. If you're asking solely in terms of practicality, the Odyssey wins hands down.
Think I'll just see if I can get the EX-L RES for around $28.5K...If so, it's probably a good enough deal to move forward with......I've got to remember that practicality is probably more important in my current life stage!
I'm looking for an Ex-L with Nav. Sat Radio and Res.
I went to my local dealershuip last week to price out the LX leasing options.
This quote was from a dealership in Brooklyn, NY
After about two hours I walked away with this quote:
36 months
1,800/down (inlcudes tax, title, destination and my first months payment)
12k miles
and I got the roof rack
my monthly payment was quoted at $340
I'm as close to clueless as you can get with this, so I'm curious if that seems like a good deal.
I called around to two to three other dealerships in the area nad was quoted right about the same price.
