For a EX-L with RES, the best quote I've been given is $ 29,690; for EX-L with RES and NAV, it's $ 31,575 (same dealership; this vehicle is white). No other dealership will match or come close (well, closest to that is $31,995 - still not bad but the color is dark gray with olive interior, which is not one I'd want). All quotes above include freight; taxes, license and processing fee ($55) not included. The dealership I've been working with warned me that this was a bait-and-switch number, and that she has customer who tried them and that their internet quote changed in financing. However, we already have financing, so I'm tempted to try it.
ALL dealerships have told me that the $2500 rebate on the Odysseys is for the 2007 only, and that the only thing available for the '08 is the $1K cash back.
Don't forget about the additional savings up to $1000 found in the CENTURY HONDA Coupon Book; a CENTURY HONDA new car customer bonus.
I'll share tomorrow if I hear anything.
Did just get a call from someone else who wants to try to beat them all. How nice would that be? Impossible, yes, but it's nice to think about.
ETA: Basically, the offer is similar to above: for a '08 EX-L w/ RES and NAV, he'll beat the $31,995 by $50, and throw in the protection package (wheel locks, mud guards, trunk pad) at no extra cost. Processing fee is $55.

Did you eyeball the interior color? They call it olive, but I'd call it gray.
Thanks
Otherwise, we could have chosen a nimbus gray, white, silver, or slate green for a little less, but I'll be keeping this for awhile, so I might as well like the color. The dealership we're buying from absolutely couldn't go lower, or, well, maybe she could (based on the lower prices) but I'm still happy with the deal as it is.
FYI: the dealerships with slightly lower prices (must deal with internet managers, I think) were Barber Honda in Bakersfield, and Keyes Honda in Woodland Hills, and based on my correspondence and conversations with them, I'd have been happy to work with either of them - they were both very professional and competitive. Lancaster Honda gave a good quote ($31,995 plus TTL, but didn't include the pro pack and didn't have the color I wanted). I'm buying from Robertson Palmdale Honda, and can absolutely recommend their internet sales manager, too.
Oh, and as for eyeballing the olive green interior - no, I didn't, but my 2000 Odyssey was one of those ubiquitous green/gray Odysseys, and I'm ready for a change from gray/gray kind of colors.

The quote I received was a rock-bottom, end of year price for an '07, but was quoted as being for an '08. And I was so there, too; I was thrilled at such a bargain price.
Can't hurt to try anyway, though.
Thanks!
The sales guy, Dave Mix, was great. They don't sell a lot of the touring model so I had to spend about an hour in the van hitting buttons and seeing how it worked before I wanted to commit to purchase. Dave was very patient.
I'm a little perplexed with the NAV/Phone system though. The Honda site lists up to 8GB of memory for these things and up to 10,000 phone numbers can be stored. I can only get about 350 numbers in (189 contacts). Not sure what to think about that. The hands free stuff is cool and the phone/bluetooth work great together. The bluetooth technology is very solid and I have never lost connection while devices are paired. The headphones for the DVD are wireless and are also bluetooth.
All-in-all it's a good van but I can't help think I paid a little too much for the convenience of buying at my local dealer. Not sure yet though.
Assuming $48,450 was the OTD total (price, fees, warranty, and taxes), I'm hard pressed to understand how you could have paid that much.
Honda prices in the Twin Cities have had a reputation for being among the highest in the U.S. In light of your experience, it seems that area now wears the crown.
Thanks!
2500 dealer incentive is available for 2007 models, I think you can try but not sure how low they can go Not many left in the lot. As far as I know Post#17927 was the lowest I saw with RES. You can email me at lali3@carspace.com

Thanks a lot for all those postings and informations poured in this forumn.
Finally, I bought my 2008 - Ody Touring - Mocha Metallic - without PAX for $35234 + tax, title, their processing fee.
The out the door price is $36,733.96(which is $750/- below invoice price). Sales man at West Broad Honda in Richmond, VA was awesome. They gave, mud guards, pin stripes, wheel locks and cargo tray, free oil services and free life long State Inspection.
Do your home work from the postings in this forumn and approach the dealer of your choice to match or beat the lowest offer you have got.
All the best to all those who are still in the market.
Yours,
Murmal.
email me if you need further details.
anyway, his initial quote was 26,100 (which I know is good)... we haven't gone back and forth at all... I was thinking of asking him if he could beat a certain price (but not sure what I should say)... ideally I would love to say 24,900, but that is probablly too low???? Although it does look like there have been a few to get in the 24K ballpark. what number do you think I should throw back at him... in a past e-mail (before he said he was out)... I did say... I have other dealers right there is this your lowest bid and he said
As for the number, what number do I need to earn your business? (I'm about out of gas, but might be able to get a few more bucks.)
So, help me... please! My husband and I are trying to decide and I think we need to decide quick before they are gone.
Also, would it be better for them if we paid cash... would the number be lower or does it not matter... and if we don't pay cash... who has the best rates right now?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I am also in market for an '08 Ody Touring no PAX in Virginia. Could you please list by line item how your OTD price was calculated (ie, car price, freight, TTL, processing fee, etc). I'm trying to figure out if using Costco might make sense...
Thanks!
-E.
I received nine responses with prices from 10 dealers and the top five were within $345 of each other. Honda of Lisle -- my preferred local dealer -- was very responsive and dropped their price slightly to be lowest.
Other than me forgetting my registration and 08 sticker for my plates at home, all went very smoothly. The Internet sales person was ready when I arrived with a copy of the email offer in hand. (Note that most of the dealers had reflected the current $1,000 marketing support incentive in their quoted prices.)
Now I'll have to spend some time figuring out how to make everything work. It's certainly a step or 20 beyond my '96 T&C!
THANKS to donkeypunch1 and many others on the forum for the helpful advice that made this purchase close to painless.
I heard of $25,500 recently (in this remaining low 07 supply market). If I were the dealer I would not sell for less than 26,100 since supply is low and some one out there will buy it. Assuming Honda doesn't discount the '08 to '07 levels.
I recently turn down $26,100 and was told I qualified for 2.9% honda financing. The reason I turn it down was they only offered $16,500 to trade in my '05 EXL w/ 44,000 miles (36 months old). I wanted a minimum of $18500.
If a trade was not involved I don't think I would of gotten much more off the price here in Ohio.
Don't forget to state to the dealer that you are buying a one year old van.
Sales Price 30,500
Residual Value 19,050
money factor .00113
12,000 miles 36 months
363.88 monthly payment

1700 due at signing (1st month, DMV and taxes)
How does this compare to everyone else?
1- He will collect info about me from the application forms and other sources
2 -He may disclose this info to sister financial institutions.
He wants me to sign this form. Have any of you signed such a form. Any suggestions?

* At signing, the sales person told me that the lease price is same for everyone. That's why there was no negotiation. He did not ask me what price I want and I did not tell him the desired price. The sales person said to me the fixed price, which is same for everyone is $26,495.
Furthermore, they did not tell me the money factor and interest rate. When I asked about APR, they said that there is no APR. I asked again what interest rate is. They said that there is no interest or it is almost zero. I thought it was a good deal because interest is zero. I think they tried to make me confused with money factor and interest (rate). They did not mention money factor or relationship between money factor and interest rate.
Now they are saying that it is not requirement to say those things (“sue us if you can, the attorney cost will be more than the recovery"). They are offering free engine oil change for three years. Do you think just accepting it is the best way? Because they strongly refused other than giving free oil change, I offered DVD installation. I am waiting for the reply but it will be refused because when they say “wait,” I know it means “no.”
I waited so long time when I bought in the dealership and I waited so long time until the car is repaired (there was an original defect as described below). I waited, waited and waited.
I'd like to cancel the contract. If that is not a way, I want to change it into finance (with the same original money down (about 4000) and same monthly payment (419) with 4.9 % APR for 5 years; the price would be about 24000).
They say that contract change is impossible. But, because the sales person only said that only the lease price is fixed, thus if we change it to finance, that lease price will not apply. Furthermore, there is no change for the money in and out. Furthermore, I will pay 419 (about) for 2 years more.
Actually, I think this is fraud. I did not know about lease (lease factor and that the price can be negotiated because the sales person said like that). Because my car was in Honda's garage at that time for total loss (accident) and my insurance contract does not provide rent car, I needed a car. And at that time (12/24) the sales person was so kind that I tried to help him. Also I’d like to give my family a surprise present.
I did not know that to help him would result in huge waste of money, time and energy (stress). Furthermore, the car's right sliding door did open to the full extent from the beginning (I found it right before I started driving home). So I put the car in the Honda for about a week from the beginning (12/27/07 because almost service men went home at that 12/24 afternoon).
This is my first lease experience. How should I handle this? Please help me.
My initial capitalized cost reduction(2970.79)+Advance single payment(387.68) is 34.40% higher than now going national featured plan beginning January 3rd (2499*134.40%=3358.67). Monthly payment (387.68, 35 times) is 49.68% higher than now going national featured plan beginning January 3rd (259).
I requested adjustment according to January plan but they refused for the reason that January they have incentive but on December sales there is no incentive. So, I said that I will pay for the incentive amount but they again refused because Honda Finance Corporation will not allow the change. But when I called Honda Finance Corporation later, Honda Finance said that if dealer resubmits, it will be OK.
Thank you.
Sales Price ~ $29,000
Tax ~ $2300
Doc Fee ~ $380
Title/Registration ~ $580
Is this a fair price now or should I wait? Anyone else find better quotes in AZ for the EX-L or EX-L w/ DVD or EX-L w/ DVD & NAV?
I understand tax is fixed by the city and doc fees vary from dealer to dealer, but how does the title/registration vary from dealer to dealer? I thought the title/registration fee is regulated by the state govt? Is that true?
Selling price $35,234.00
Processing Fee - $ 299.00
Tax 3% - $ 1,065.99
Title - $ 134.97
Total - $ 36,733.96
Hope this helps.

Murmal.
