I just mean he's older than me. :)

Maybe I should have typed it as "ol' guy" instead, so it wouldn't look like I was calling Pat 'old'. Didn't mean anything bad by it.

I know that Brian, I was also joking. I can still remember the time when Pat and I were the young kids. I will now leave the chatting to you experts.

Now that we havwe figured out how to post a picture the next challenge to figure out how to post the full size picture.

BTW. thanks for posting the info.

    Cheers Pat.
  • subearusubearu Member Posts: 3,613
you must have told on me to Rita about calling you old.

Just so she doesn't think I'm some young punk, let her know I'm 29 and have a 7 month old daughter.

As Ross found out yesterday, with Imagestation.com, you can view or link to a larger version of your image by referencing the '.orig.jpg' (as I pointed out to him above). Maybe your picture host has something similar.

Nope she was reading the post at the time she was the one trying figure out how to post the pictures.

29 huh, to us that is young but age is just a figment of the imagination, we still feel and act like we are still 21.
    cheers Pat.

This is from a post from Pat (hondafriek) that appeared in the modifications forum a week or so ago...(Thanks Pat!)

    console box assembly part #92111AE14AML.
    $97.
    console cover part# 92132AEO7AML.
    $26
    switch case console part# 9217AE12AML.
    $6.50
    cupholder cap part# 66155AE03AML.
    $6.50
    cupholder support Part# 66155AE02A.
    $6.50

The amounts shown are approximately what I paid...+/- some change on each.

You will need every single part listed.

BTW, I am having trouble receiving the cupholder cap (#66155AE03AML). Apparently Fuji sent the SOA warehouse here in Atlanta the wrong part in the baggie labeled with this part #. I don't know when I will receive the correct part but if you happen to get the correct one, please let me know!

    Good luck!

Pat: you could eat off that block! That engine bay is cleaner than the dishes coming out of my dish washer!

I have a couple of battle scares, but none that bad. My hitch protects my exhaust.

Like I said age is only a state of mind, If I live to be a hundred I hope to still feel and act as I do now.

I guess being a 100%certifiable car nut also helps.

    Cheers Pat.

Sorry for the late reply (Still catching up). I would like to meet the "locals". I keep thinking, maybe at one of the auto shows (Philly or NY). I don't want to make a commitment until I know I can make it. It's tough with the wife working (Saturdays too) and 3 young kids.

We'll help you keep an eye on em at an event. You should actually join us for a meet @ the palisades auto-x probably close to you and they are on Sundays.

Oclvframe: When I saw the picture of your car, I immediately saw the H6-3.0 emblem on the grill, so when I saw the "stick shift" I got really excited! What a let down! Anyhow, it looks awesome, and I really like the conversion. How hard was it to do? How hard was it to "relocate" the heated seat switches? (Yes, a Florida H4OB with heated seats!) Let us know when you finally get the little rubber/plastic separator.

Nice picture. There is someone in my neighborhood with the same color GT. Really nice looking and they take care of it well. Love the wheels. Are the cross drilled rotors and pinstripping standard?

When my daughter started driving this car in Tennessee she was asked repeatedly, and how old did you say the guy was that owned this car?

Cheers Pat, BTW.that is a completely origional 1989 Accord highly modified by yours Truly.
  • barresa62barresa62 Member Posts: 1,379
Nice GT. I really like the Titanium color, classy and understated but noticeable(if that makes any sense). :-)

  • subearusubearu Member Posts: 3,613
I always liked the honda styling w/ the pop up lights.

    -Brian
  • hondafriekhondafriek Member Posts: 2,984
I love this car, I had origionally thought winter green, but it was only available in the base Legacy, Then I had the chance to compare the two colours side by side the Titanium wins hands down.

The rims were changed within 3 days of getting the car, then I pulled the rotors had them cross drilled and cadmium plated.

I kept the GT rims for winter and just had a set of BF goodrich winter Slaloms put on them this week.

Brian, that Honda was my pride and Joy and It broke my heart to let it go, but it is in good hands my daughter and her husband will take real good care of it, it is destined to be an heirloom, my grandson wants it to pass to him his mother says no way.

    Cheers Pat.

Right away I notice the pin stipes, GT badge, sweet rims, brake kit, deflector, window tint, color matched mud guards...very nice Pat.

In the engine bay, what are those yellow wires, and that red thing on top of the alternator. I don't recognize them, or that twisted copper coil. Parts of various mods?

The wheels on that Accord look newer than any at my local dealership. No doubt.

    -juice
  • hondafriekhondafriek Member Posts: 2,984
The red thing on the alternator is an insulation covering the terminal, this is factory.

The yellow wire is for the oil pressure gauge sender, thats the gold coloured cylinder that that copper coil is going to.

The copper coil is the oil feed I had to make up an adapter becuse of the location of the factory oil switch.

BTW. I kept the oil pressure idiot light as well so as to have no disclaimers in the event of a failure.

    Cheers Pat.
  • hondafriekhondafriek Member Posts: 2,984
The copper pipe is coiled like that to absorb engine vibrations, otherwise the pipe would break.

    Cheers Pat.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Looks different than my engine bay, but yours is a Phase II.

I thought the coil was for heat dissipation, but I understand now.

    Pat,
Thanks for the pic of that 89 LXi -- it brought back memories of my beloved 88 LXi (same color) that was my first car. I drove that car until 1993 when I stupidly traded it in for a 93 Chevy pickup (which fell apart immediately and I finally dumped 2 years later). I have regretted trading that Accord time and time again; it was probably the best car I've ever owned. Your LXi is obviously in pristine condition -- congrats, and hang onto that thing!
    Regards,
    Brian

How do I get pictures from a CD into Imagestation? Once done, I can show my pics for a changes.

    Greg
  • subearusubearu Member Posts: 3,613
Imagestation has some plugins for your browser that lets you browse your drives, including a CD.

You select the pics you want and it transfers them to imagestation.

The LXI has been passed on to my daughter who will take extremely good care of it she intends to own it until the wheels fall off.

    Cheers Pat.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
No, Pat. When the wheels fall off, you get new bearings and put them back on!

Actually for what little winter they get in Tennessee the car is already stored.

I can see this car becoming an heirloom, she wanted right from the very first, now my grandson thinks it will be passed on to him,but she says dream on, it ain,t going to happen.

    Cheers Pat.
  • ateixeiraateixeira Member Posts: 72,587
Only if he's a very responsible driver, and not at 16. Too young to take care of it.

  • hondafriekhondafriek Member Posts: 2,984
Has just turned eleven so he has a ways to go,to be honest, I cannot ever see her allowing him to drive it, she is already very possessive of it.
