You got pics of the XT6 stuck that I missed. That guy was inches away from slipping off the trail completely.
You also got that RS with the mini-rhino bar. Hilarious.

Pic 2: The Trade Center
These are not pretty photos! It almost borders on bad taste.
I suggest someone remove them.
Daniel
It's nice to see some pics of the real thing.

then I realized that you have something I don't.
As Bob Hope would sing- "Thanks for the memory".
Thank you for sharing your memories.

I'm glad you posted 'em though. Everywhere else all images of these builings are gone for the sake of "taste." Problem is, I was beginning to have a hard time remembering what NY and the towers really looked like before 9/11. Even better that these pics are on an average cloudy day. Actually helps dispel the awful images from that day, since those were the only pics around it seems.
Thanks for the pics. I haven't been to NY in years, but appreciate the sight of the towers as a reminder.
Best to all,

Absolutely. I've always been proud to proclaim I'm from New York, but the resiliency to the recent events have made me even more proud. Same goes for being American.

those are 2000 2.5RS rims wearing 215/50/16 G-Force tires. The tires are almost done, and actually I can't wait. The 205/55/16 S-03 PPs I have on the stock rims are more tenacious AND quieter. I'll wear these G-Force things out (came with the rims), put the S-03s on, and put all-seasons on the stockers. Then when the S-03s are done, I replace them with 215/50s.......
Best part? $400 for the rims plus the Goodriches. Building the car on a budget.....
Cheers Pat.

The first one is self-explanatory.
The second one is taken at Keystone Ski Resort where I took it out and spun half doughnuts with it on the iced-over parking lot after everyone had left for the night. It handled the abuse to the VDC system with aplomb due to its rear bias.
Note the luggage stacked to the ceiling and skis on top!

Lucien - nice wheels!
Greg
They also quoted $ 225 canadian each for the regular GT rims so you got one hell of a deal.
Cheers Pat.
Pat- yea, the i-club is chock full of cash strapped dot-bomb dropouts right now; no one jumped on the wheels at $500 (would have been gone in 60 seconds over the summer), so I low-balled for the hell of it. He took it, so I drove to Philly and got 'em! Tires look great, but boy are they loud. No other manufacturer offers a 215/50/16 though.
Cheers Pat.

Cheers Pat.
Awwww, I liked the SVT Contour. If only it had survived to see the new Mondeo.

225/45-16 is another option, but again poor variety of tires and what is available is more expensive than the same model in 205/55-16 or 225/50-16.

just trying to offer useful advice for what to do when you do wear out those KDW's.

Wow, will the turbo fit on the Outback? I smell a fun project. :-)

There's been interest in the various forums on performance in sand. In this photo with the charming fellow in the hat (not me!), the road in was composed of coarse loose sand at least 12 inches deep - maybe more. The Bean swam a bit but never wavered on its course. AC and CD player didn't miss a beat.
Well, picture link didn't work, but try following this link:

You can see some others at www.pbase.com/ffsteve
ffsteve: the white bean looks sharp. did you air down your tires in the sand?
