Saw Bandolier on our last trip. Very inspiring.

Well, here is a not-so-good photo of our new Legacy next to Sandy. Washed them both and took this quick pic:

But I really want a ragtop in the fleet. I hope and pray that Subaru does a new rendition of the SVX, and then makes a roadster. That would be my next new car!
I can wait, just get it here by 2005.

Do you know the offset? Is it a 5 bolt 10mm pattern? Heck, e-mail me a photo just for the heck of it.

The wheels look good, too, so if I get a job this week I might just work out a deal.
Greg: I actually washed Sandy first, backed her up, then washed the Legacy. So Sandy still comes first in my heart. :-)

You think they'll fit? I'd guess yes.

Edit: I don't see it there anymore - Paisan, you crack me up with the "dissing" of the Ascender where you compare the Trooper to the Ascender, SUV vs SMV.

Actually, I just got the photo chop CD and will install it today and play with it.
Share that with the amateur redesign studio thread, see what people think.

I made the door longer, removed the rear door, and removed the spoiler. Not bad for a rookie - I just installed PhotoShop today.

could you put the driver's seat back?
It looks incomplete and kinda mal-nourished in the rear. =D
-Dave
Of course I could have left the windows up. That's how all the Z3 drivers are around here.

Now all it needs is a spoiler and hood deflector.
-Brian
I did remove the rear wing. It was a little too "fast and furious" for me.
Cynthia: the right color, shiny tires, clean wheels. They even look waxed! I'm so proud of you! *sniff*

AFAIK, the wheels aren't waxed. Should they be? I know nothing about alloy wheels, but I would like to keep them looking nice!
What waxes are good? I used to wax my old car, but it's been ages, literally. I found a nearby coin-op wash where I can wash the car, don't know if they have a vacuum or not. There is also a touchless car wash place that will vacuum though they aren't all that cheap. Any advice on washing or where to go or not go for car washing appreciated! Can't wash it here, 'cause I rent a room and my landlord doesn't allow it.
I feel sort of compulsive about the new car, while it looks new, I like to keep it nice. The old car had gotten, so, well, old, that I didn't much bother, but I did when it was new.
A hood deflector is sort of tempting, but personally, I am not fond of spoilers, to me they always look like "added-on bits".
How do those hood deflectors install? Do they come off easy? I hate the look of car bras, but I wouldn't mind a bit of protection, having looked at the numerous chips in the Camry's hood.
I did order rubber floor mats for winter!
I feel OCD coming on!

I don't know that I have to worry so much about corrosion in winter months right now, because I'm in the Bay Area, CA... and it's not like we see ice often . And no road salt.
But if it keeps them pretty, I don't mind waxing the wheels too. I may need a kind of wax that is easy to buff though, have tendinitis in both arms, and they don't take kindly to buffing or similar chores.
However, it may be that my Subaru and I will end up in the cold at some point in the future. It's not for sure yet, but it may be that my boyfriend just landed his first official meteorology job in North Dakota. (Where there are apparently all of 2 Subaru dealerships in the entire state!) I guess if I end up there, I'll be worrying quite a bit about winter, ice, snow and the like!
Cynthia
As long as you're not making 1/3 what you were before, it's cool. :-D
Gorgeous Subaru by the way.

Still, if all goes well, I might indeed get to play in the snow in the Subaru! Just playing in snow would be fun, I was raised in southeast Texas, we didn't exactly see much snow there either!
Wasn't me on 80 I'm afraid, but I saw a new white Outback today on 580 and a dark green one at the grocery store.
I am getting the feeling I need to wash the car... she's getting that coating of pollen dust again. However, we might be getting a storm this weekend, so mother nature may do it for me this time. I better study the manual and figure out my windshield wipers!
(Don't laugh too hard, compared to the ancient Camry, this car is way more complex!)

I'm not laughing about the wiper comment....I was still discovering new things, and how to work them, 3 months after I started driving the roo!
I grew up in Montana & spent some time in N. Dakota - it's an amazing, gorgeous part of the country. (and a great place for kids to grow up....should that be in the equation....)

We have LOTS of Subarus in the Capital district. It's the weather...

for Berkeley/Albany Cal, it's the perfect car. Politically correct AWD, you probably DO actually spend some time in the mountains or on the beach, you've got that funky/cool/yuppie look as opposed to the snobby/cool/yuppie look, and only those who've done their research know how cool you really are ;-).
