How much are dealers getting over invoice for a 2014 A5 coupe Quattro premium plus? I am considering leasing for 30-36 months with 10k per year in NY. Also when are the 2015s becoming available?

It's my understanding that getting 6% off MSRP is a good deal. Don't know when the 2015's will hit the lots.

    .00092 and 56% or 59% residual.

    36/15 - .00015 and 52%

    39/15 - .00035 and 50%

Audi makes the first payment for you.

You should target 6% off MSRP.

wow, they really dropped their money factor.
this sounds like a real good deal if thats the case.
so i wouldn't be out of line shooting for:

    msrp 42,845

    sell price 40,200

    MF .00015 & 52% residual

    36 month

    $484

    6% tax of $29

$513 out the door no cap cost reduction, just title/acquisision etc.

$1000 would equate to $28/mo savings, so that explains the delta between your numbers and mine.

First off, this board is very informative and very helpful. Thanks to the Moderators who are very active on this forum!

I plan on getting a 2014 A5 Coupe this summer and wanted to see what your thoughts were on waiting until the 2015 A5s come out (which should be later this summer) to get better lease terms for the 2014 A5. Please advise when you have the opportunity or if you could speculate how much you could see the MF and Residual changing in the coming months. I currently have a paid off car and am in no rush.

Also, just for my own edification before the Summer of Audi event ends, what would be the rates on a 2014 A5 Premium Plus with the Audi MMI Navigation Package: 10K per Year for 36 and 39 months?

Thanks in advance for all of your great help!

Let's start with the last question first - MF and RV for the 2014 A5 Prem + is .00015 and 55% for 36/10 and .00035 and 53% for 39/10.

    2015 numbers are out - 36/10 is .00148 and 60%, while 39/10 is .00168 and 58%.

At the moment, looks to be the better deals are to be had on the outgoing 2014's - you should be able to secure a better discount from sticker, which will reduce your payment.

Hello! Trying my best to lease an A5 for under $500 a month. I've seen a few posts where this happened, but not many. Assuming the .00015 MF and standard residual. What kind of price point am I looking for?

Ok tell me how I did (brutal honesty). Just signed the lease on a loaded 2014 A5 Premium Plus (MSRP 52,270) with a $500 walk off all in and 41 monthly payments of $559 including prepaid maintenance (10k Miles per year).

Hard to tell without the negotiated cap cost, but I would say an OK deal. The lease term of 42 months didn't help - the MF is increased for any leases longer than 36 months, and the residual drops off quickly.

Well, the first thing is to find a car that is minimally optioned, then negotiate your best price from that (5-7% discount from MSRP seems to be what people are getting).

Then, ensure you get the base MF of .00015 and decide how much of the fees and taxes you want to pay up front - rolling them into the lease only increases the payment.

Then, look at using MSDs to lower the MF.

I ended up getting an 2014 Audi A5 over the weekend. It was a gray Premium Plus with Navigation, Side Assist, etc. with an MSRP of $49,125. I ended up paying $1,971 drive off with no down payment, and my monthly payments are $507 and change. I did a 36 month lease with 12,000 miles/ year with both Audi Care and Wear and Tear Insurance rolled into the lease payments. Thank you very much to the Mods in this forum.

  • deniecejdeniecej Member Posts: 3

@jonatha777 or anyone else: I'm trying to get a lease deal with about a $500/month. I want that deal! I've been shopping in the $49K range and the payments aren't coming below $557 including tax and title with $2000 down, $1300 applied to cap cost reduction, per the sheet I "stole". They even gave me 11% off MSRP and MF 0.00015. What else do I need to do??? I'm really trying to buy ASAP! That's for 36/10K

  • deniecejdeniecej Member Posts: 3

@haboob: Thanks for the MSD comment, I'm looking into it in case I go with a 2015 model  The dealer today tried to play dumb though....

@Michaell‌ Would appreciate your help. The monthly payment the dealer gave me doesn't match with when I use these.

MSRP 51145, selling price 48240, CCR 3000, gross cap cost 49923.

Dealer gave me 644 + tax.
    I get 606 + tax.

    36 mos
    45K mi

Using your MSRP and gross cap cost with the MF of .00148 and RV of 57% (36/15), I get a pre-tax payment of $693.99.

Explain to me how the selling price of $48,240 and $3000 of cap cost reduction ends up with a gross cap of $49,923? What state do you live in? Sales tax is applied to leases differently based on where you live.

    WI 5.6% sales tax

Gross cap cost is 49923 less 3000 CCR = 46923 adj cap cost

I believe the gross cap cost was selling price + additional fees (acq, tax, title, reg, dealer service)--does that sound right?
I'm waiting to get the itemized breakdown.

OK, now I'm getting the $606/mo pre-tax number when I use the $46,923 adjusted cap cost.

Getting the breakdown on the fees, etc. added to that will help greatly.

You're trading in a car? The negative equity can either be paid off up front or added into the cap cost and spread out over the term of the new lease.

If you haven't signed anything, I don't see a problem. You can always work with a different Audi dealer if the first one has been playing games with you.

This thread is extremely helpful. I am trying to lease a 2014 A5 Premium plus with NAV package with a few extras with MSRP of $48,345. I had the dealer give me some rough numbers and here is what I got. I need to know how good these numbers are and what I should negotiate for to get a good deal.

    Selling Price - Incentives(1K) = $44,444
    Fees = $660
    Sales Tax = $3,370
    Net Sales Price = $49,474
    Residual Value = $26,200

36 mo lease with 12k miles with $2,145.15 down for $571.94

They refused to give me MF & other numbers until I go in. Thank you in advance for your help.

The base MF is .00015 and the 36/12 residual is 54%. You must live in a state where the entire selling price is taxed (IL, TX, GA, MD).

When I run your numbers (MSRP $48,345, net selling price $49,474), I get a payment of $660.44/mo for 36 months.

How much of the down is cap cost reduction (aka down payment)?
