You are right, the down payment is about 3000. It seems that although there is a risk of losing the down payment due to stolen, it does help reducing the amount of money the interest rate applies, right?

Does Audi offer multiple security deposits? If so, how low the rate can I expect if I max out MSD and already have top tier rating?

That's correct... Cap cost reductions do reduce the amount subject to the finance charge. $3000 at this money factor saves about $3.18 per month.

Audi does offer MSDs, but not sure of the reduction numbers.

The best information I have is that each MSD reduces the MF by .00005. Maximum 9 allowed.

What lease term and how many miles per year?

2015 numbers from Audi are valid through the end of the year ... you can scroll back through the last page or two of this discussion to see what's been quoted.

As to monthly payment, we'd need both the MSRP and the negotiated selling price to model a payment for you.

I'm about to lease a car for the first time and I found this forum while researching. I'm hoping to get a decent deal on the Audi A3 Cabriolet. The first dealer i contacted was quoting me the following.

MSRP: $42,825.00
Selling Price: $40,684.00
Due at Singing (1st month payment): $651.58

For the A3 CAB 1.8T FWD Premium (that's the base model...lol)
.00133 MF and 56% residual for 36mo, 15K/yr.
With no additional costs, the payment using your MSRP and selling price would be about $550/mo.+tax.. There is a $695 acquisition fee and probably some other costs to be added in there.. Their pre-tax payment of $598/mo. might not be all that far off..

Where did you get that money factor? The base MF is .00133 and yours is obviously some sort of typo.

When I input your numbers, I get $335.mo. plus tax. Is $31,000 truly the net cap cost, or is that the selling price?

Those are all the base rates, so that's good. The selling price is going to determine your lease payment. You should also get a breakdown of all money due at signing... to make sure they aren't hiding anything extra.
