Happened to be driving past a Mercedes dealership on the way home, and the wife fell in love with the bright red GLK-350, and drove it home. Could've done a better deal had I had time to come check out the forum on that vehicle, but in the end would've only saved maybe $10-20/month. That adds up over time, but when you have an impatient wife who hates car shopping and has found her dream vehicle, was worth it to just sign and drive away.

In order to model a payment, we would need the negotiated selling price or net cap cost.

No difference in RV or MF.

I've not looked at the RX350, so can't tell you if the premium for the F-Sport is worth it.

FYI -- here's what our Editors had to say about the F Sport version in their review of the 2014 model:

We don't recommend the RX 350 F Sport, as it suffers from an overly firm and poorly damped ride, with no appreciable increase in driving feedback or involvement. Worse still, its handling and braking numbers at our track were actually worse than those of the regular RX 350.

Dealer quoted me a 1-pay price of $11,500 for 7500 miles per year and $12,100 if I went with 10,000 miles per year. Am I getting a good deal? This is in NY. Thank you so much for your feedback.

There is currently a factory offer for $399 /mo 27mo lease, 10k miles per year. I would imagine the dealership would be interested in pushing a car with fewer options / lower MSRP. Do I first pick a car and then show them the offer, or do I tell them that this is what I am interested in? I don't think I'll be able to negotiate anything better than this. Thanks.

Yes, you can do better. The special lease offer is taking around 2500 dollars off the MSRP. Negotiate a better selling price and you payments will go down. Lexus will sell RX 350 at 10% off MSRP. If you have money upfront max out the multiple security deposits, this will save you over 1 thousand dollars over the course of your lease. Ask the dealer about the deposits, they will not mention them to you. Every state allows different amounts, so if you are close to another state you may want to contact dealers there to see if they allow more.

Any idea how much they're discounting invoice? With the lease #'s above and $500 lease cash, and up to $500 off first month, I'm still getting quotes lower than I'm calculating myself. These guys must be discounting invoice heavily?

Most leases have a security deposit attached to them .. but, for many luxury makes, the security deposit is waived.

There is another term called "multiple security deposits" (MSD). These allow the money factor to be lowered, thus reducing your monthly payment. And, you get that money back at the end of the lease term.

Selling price looks to be around 43000 when fooling around with my lease calculator. I am including 1600 dollar deposit (2300 dollar deposit required in special offer includes 700 dollar acquisition fee). I am also factoring in 500 lease cash, but not sure where to include first month payment waived. Regardless, negotiate 10% off and you can do better then the advertised special. The special offer is really not so special after all, the dealers would love you to believe it is a special offer.

I don't get how you're calculating 10% off though? My msrp is $45,365, edmunds invoice is $42,478... and 10% off would be $40,828.5

You're telling me they're selling for $2k off invoice?

Yes, 2 thousand below invoice if not more. Deal with the internet sales rep at numerous dealerships and have them bid for your car and you will get at least 10% off msrp, or 2 thousand below invoice. Don't even bother with the sales reps in person at the dealerships, just email the internet rep.

Does anyone know what the rate is for MSD deductions? Is it .001 or .0008? I read conflicting reports everywhere!

I am only relaying what a sales rep told me, so I can not vouch for accuracy.

Each security deposit reduces your money factor by .00008. In New Jersey we can make 9 deposits. 9 multiplied by .00008 equals .00072. The current money factor is .00105. Subtract .00072 from that and your new money factor is
.00033. This equals a big return on your money, only a high risk investment can match that. Plus it is tax free. It will save you 2 thousand dollars over a 36 month lease. I encourage everybody to do it if you have the cash on hand. Do not do a one pay lease to save money because if you total your vehicle you will lose that money, plus you save more with the deposits compared to one pay lease. With multiple security deposits you get the money back at the end of lease, it works like a bond. Lexus is simply borrowing the money to increase cash flow.

Just came back from the dealer and was told RV for 24mo/ 10k lease is 70%. Can anybody please confirm this number? I told him I have read it's 72%. Usually dealers don't lie about RV but it will be good to double check. TIA!

I know for sure that a 27 month lease/10 thousand a year is 70% residual. I would think 24 months would be higher. Call some other dealers to get the number for 24 mos.

Residual is set by LFS; I confirm the 24/10 residual for the 2015 RX350 is 72%; for the hybrid it is 70%

MF is .00105 for the 2015 RX350 and the residual for the F-Sport is either 73% or 74% depending on miles.

Using your MSRP and net cap cost, I calculate the pre-tax payment to be $519.88 for 10K ($12,477 for 24mo) and $498.43 for 7500 miles ($11,962). I don't see any sort of a MF discount by doing this, nor are taxes factored into my calculations.

We don't recommend making any sort of cap cost reduction - if the vehicle is stolen or totaled, you would be out that money.

Nope, I'm glad you kept pushing. I was looking at the residuals that expired on 7/7.

I'm getting the same payment as you. Only way to get a lower payment is to either negotiate a lower selling price or look into using MSDs to lower the MF.

Security deposits are the monthly payment rounded up to the next $50, not a fixed amount. Confirm max 9 MSD, but I have conflicting info on the per MSD reduction.

Residuals for RX350:

24/12 - 72%

36/12 - 62%

Add 1% for 10K

Subtract 2% for RX450h.
