Michaell - their response...
"After you add in tax and reg fee's, you are going to add a little over $50/mo, which would bring you to the actual payment. The net sale price is $48,000 even."
@blueshirt We aren't familiar with Delaware taxes. Do you know the tax rate? Does Delaware tax the full selling price or just the payment?
Is your $1000 the total upfront, or is that a downpayment, plus 1st payment, etc.?
The Delaware tax is 3.75% on the purchase price, which over 36 months is $50.00. This is how the price is $578.00. I need to bring down the sale price from $48,000.
Got the following quotes from a Lexus dealer in Texas. This was over the phone but am planning on signing the paperwork today if it's a good deal.
On both options I also negotiated that they throw in a window tinting ($395ish) if I buy the roof rack for $329.
OPTION 1 Model: RX 350 w/Nav MSRP: $49,989 Cost w/dealer discount: $44,370 Cost w/dealer discount plus $1,500 LFS credit: $42,870 (14% off MSRP) Cost w/all add-ons, fees and taxes: $47,499.11 Fees: (I'm sure I am forgetting something here) $195 (forgot to write down what this is for) $125 document fee
With option 2 I didn't get into all of the details of MF, residual and total cost with all taxes and fees, but I believe they would be the same.
My questions:
Are these good deals? Am I missing anything or potentially leaving something on the table? What sort of payments would I be looking at with these two options?
Anyone know if this sounds right, I was quoted a money factor of .0006 for tier 1 credit. We decided to put the car in a family member's name instead of mine, their score is 664, and the salesperson says that it puts us in tier 3 credit, and the money factor goes up to .0022, causing a $130 jump in the payment.
Can anyone verify if these numbers are correct for LFS?

I show .00195, but there might be more than just the credit score that goes into getting that tier. Either way, it's not far off.
If they have crappy credit, why put the car into their name?
Purchased Lexus's in the past but new to leasing. Interested in a 2015 RX 350. Dealer's initial offer. Seems steep to me. Thank you for your thoughts on this deal.
I am looking to put a deal together for a 2015 RX350 w/ NAV ($50K MSRP) or w/o NAV ($47k MSRP). What are the September MF and residual for 36 mths/15k for FWD and AWD? Is the $1500 bonus cash only on AWD or also FWD?

Yeah.. adding all that up, even adding the 1st payment in, I get about $619/mo. for 36 month.

On top of that, I don't think the discount is all that great for an outgoing 2015 model.

My budged allows for at most $500/mo. taxes included.
Would this be a reasonable ask and a practical deal to get? What kind of deals have you seen? How many % off of MSRP? This one is about 5.3% off of MSRP.

We don't track selling prices - use the "make / model / year" pull downs at the top of the page to link to the Edmunds pricing tools.
Can also read back through the last page or two of this discussion to see what others have been able to negotiate.
10% off MSRP is very doable, and that is without the $1500 lease bonus cash. The bonus should be applied after the negotiated price. Focus only on the sale price, not the monthly lease rate. With an MSRP of 50,699 you should be able lease the vehicle for around $450 per month with 10% off MSRP. Just contact the Internet sales rep at all your local dealers (if you have a bunch in your area) and have them bid for your business. It worked for me and many others on this board.
I went in on Sept 30 at 8PM to a dealer in MD and got this deal at midnight:
2015 RX350 F Sport MSRP $54,684 Negotiated price: 46,684.84 Lease Cash Back: 1,500 (this is in addition to the negotiated price) Processing $300 Tags, Title etc: $346 36 Months, 10K miles/year Monthly payment with taxes: 479.00 Zero down except for first payment on delivery MF: .0006 Residual 62% @ 33,904.08
Now I see Lexus is offer $500 more in lease cash but I still think it was a stellar deal.
Thoughts on this folks? Good deal? Can I get something from the dealer given the new lease cash back since this is no skin of their back (Lease cash comes from Lexus).

Looks like a great deal. If your deal was made in September, you can't get October lease cash.

iam new to leasing. what are the money factors and residuals for TX for 10k and 12k miles per year. Total MSRP for the vehicle is 47324 and the dealer is going to give me 2 certificates. looks like there is a 2000 lease cash too. What do you think is a good monthly payment for this vehicle? what should i negotiate the vehicle price down to. Iam planning to put zero down.Your help would be appreciated

.00060 MF and 60%/59% residual for 36 months. $2000 lease cash.
Given Texas high lease taxes, I'd say somewhere around $500/mo. with just 1st payment upfront. It really depends on the price you negotiate. Taxes alone are going to be $80+/mo.
Can someone please look at the following deal. Don't beat me up: I don't know the selling price or MF. I simply compare monthly payment from dealer to dealer to keep the math easy. Here is the BEST deal I've gotten so far. However, this car is a DEMO (which I don't really care about) so I'm not sure how that impacts the sale price:
F-sport demo with approx 3800 miles ( white/Black ) MSRP = 53,029
27 month lease w/ 18k per yr....0 down = 626 + tax ==== 682.34
100% sign and drive, so the only thing out of my pocket is 26 remaining payments of 682.34 including tax.

Looks high - read back through the last couple of pages of this discussion to see what others have been able to negotiate.
You want to negotiate the selling price, not the payment. Too easy for the dealer to slip in unnecessary fees and costs.
Thanks for the input. This deal is in PA (9% lease tax rate). This is by far the lowest offer I have gotten. You still think this looks high at 18,000 miles per year and 27 months? I have not seen any lease deals posted here with 18k miles per year, so I know this deal is (somewhat) unique. I have also not seen any deals with demo cars, so I'm not sure how much that lowers the selling price. Thanks again for your help!

Sorry, didn't see the 18K mileage.
27/15 numbers for the RX are .00060 and 64%. Extra miles are deducted off the residual at .20 per mile, or $1350 total.
You should, however, get a bigger discount from sticker as the car is a demo. Knowing the selling price would go a long way to helping determine if this is a good deal or not.
