I live in VA and looking to buy or lease a 2016 RX350. Haven't gone to dealers yet. Just reached couple of them. Mostly looking for some decent options without navigation package. I don't prefer the navigation built in. I will post more details after visiting the dealer. It could be either a lease or buy. BTW what you folks recommend to do. Lease or buy?

It depends on how long you plan to keep the car and how many miles you drive.

I work from home so my commute would be very less. Say less than 100 miles per week. I will not go more than 10K a year at all. Honestly I don't mind buying but this leasing option is really I would like to try out this time.
Also I don't prefer to keep changing the car frequently. I drive 2003 accord now bought it new back then.
If your current driver is 13 years old, then leasing is not for you. Buy the RX and keep it for 10-15 years - that's only 150K miles and it will still retain quite a bit of value.
@Michaell local dealer in NJ has the december to remember special for 2015 RX 350 awd w/navigation for 2100 down and 399 month. 36mo/10k. the Offer based on MSRP of $46,265 including delivery, processing and handling. but makes no mention of how they come up with the down payment and final monthly amount. Can you back into their calculations? Also, do you know if that MSRP is still negotiable or they have now lowered it to make their 399 monthly price attainable? Also, is the lease cash i'm seeing in addition to a factory to dealer incentive that is out there?

That sounds like a regional or national offer, which you should be able to beat with some shrewd negotiating.
We don't recommend making a down payment on a lease - if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.
I'm sure that offer includes some sort of discount from sticker.

is free service and/or damage insurance things worth negotiating for? do they really add value to a lease? how many time does a car typically need in 36 month/30k miles? obviously i'll try to get whatever I can but just wondering if those are usually worth "fighting" for.

I am currently trying to negotiate 10-12% off the MSRP on a 2015 RX350 with an price tage of 53,XXX. I just found out there is 11K miles on the car.... maybe demos/testdrives, etc etc. How do I go about negotiating more on this car? What is the rule of thumb for NEW cars with this mileage? I will be leasing.

That price is for a new car $53K...In So Cal I see those listed by dealers for sale now right at about $40k or slightly less....Offer them $38k and its probably yours.

Looks good. If that's the vehicle you want, I'd grab it.
Thanks for the quick reply to my previous question. Can you also tell me the 33/12 MF and Residual. I'm assuming the MF is .00060? A dealership is telling me that I'm better off with the 33/12 than 36/12 so I wanted to check back in and get the numbers.

Add 3% to residual for 33 months. Don't think it's going to make much difference.
Does south Florida have the same deal as others have posted '.00060 MF and 57% residual. $2000 lease cash + complimentary 1st payment. 36mo, 15K/yr'? Does adding additional options change the residual with Lexus or is it the same no matter what. Finally does Lexus charge an acquisition fee for their leases?

Residual is nationwide, so 57% is correct for 36/15.
I show .00060 for Florida and $2000 lease cash. Complimentary first payment.
hi Im being offered a 2015 RX 350 Base FWD for lease but it has 5000 miles on it already. It was a demo used by an executive. I was offered $500 /month for 36 months / 10k miles. Nothing down. This seems like a shady deal. Can you advise how to go about plugging in the numbers? Would I use the current value of this car's market price(similar models in Houston, TX are listed for 41k) as the msrp in my formula? so msrp is 41k, and maybe negotiate to 38k as my net cap cost? Then plug in .0006 MF with 59% residual? any advice would help as to how to approach this the best way. the good news is they're allowing me the 2000 lease cash to use too. (I cant remember the sale price he told me, but its basically the new base msrp minus about $8,500 due to the mileage, so maybe 41,500). not sure if that helps, but lets assume that that's right!

Demos/loaners, etc.. that qualify for the new car lease plan use their original MSRP, and new car lease parameters. But, the residual is reduced to account for the current mileage. Not sure of Lexus, but for this example, just assume $0.20/mi. ($1000). Of course, for the demo to be a good deal, the selling price would have to be at least $1000 lower than a comparable new unit.
It's no different than leasing a new one.. just a lower residual and hopefully, a lot lower selling price.
Yday night got this deal on RX350 AWD in Maryland, let me know if I did ok?

Here is what I am getting
MSRP: 45805
INVOICE = FACTORY INVOICE - CASHBACK = 42865 - 2000 = 40865
MF: 0.0006
RESIDUAL = 59%
LEASE TERM = 36 months/12k
TOTAL ADDITIONAL FEES = 595 + 199 = $795 (delivery charge + documentation)
With condition that EVERYTHING is rolled into monthly payments (ie, zero down),
TOTAL MONTHLY = $497
Do you think this makes sense?
Am I leaving too much money on the table by allowing $795 in fees?
I plan to just send out my calculations by email to various dealers - just need one to agree
Thank you!
Thanks!
Comfort Package, Premium Package, Intuitive Parking Assist, Navigation Package, Wood Leather Steering WheelPaint Protective Film, Cargo mat, Cargo Net, Wheel locks & Key Glove
MSRP: 51,612

Net Cap Cost 44,833

$595 is the bank fee and can't be avoided; $199 dealer fee seems reasonable.
