This was my ride today while the ATS was being serviced:
Aside from the all-black interior I was extremely impressed. Fortunately there are better colors on offer. I could see myself in one of these at some point.
Is that what they used to call the XTS? I found those to be nice. I thought they discontinued those.
Hey, how did you come out from the latest hurricane to brush your area?
The XTS was a (big) sedan. So, no, this is not that.

What I've learned is that negative reviews against GM products are often some kind of media conspiracy, and that product updates (corrections) are made because journalists object, not because the design was actually flawed.

Nah, I know that’s impossible. I’m just trying to make him realize that posting useless clickbait sites with articles like that just make him look silly.
So someone talks about the "out left lane camping a left lane camper method." You know, where you teach them a lesson with their own medicine. You get in front, slow down 20 below what they were driving, forcing them to move right (where they should have been all along), and then you gun the gas as soon as they do so. Rinse and repeat if necessary if they get back in the left lane while passing no one.
At the risk of stirring up another LLC debate in here, what do you all think of this argument:
Former Cop to the guy teaching LLC's a lesson : "So you are committing vehicle code violations to force other people to obey the vehicle code? Does this make sense to you?"
@andres3 to the former Cop : "Isn't that what you did every day when you catch up to a speeder and ticket them? Or please do tell how you catch up to a speeder without speeding. I’m dying to know! LOL! The hypocrisy is so thick I’m just stuck."
Former Cop: "cops are exempted from certain vehicle codes while in pursuit."
Me: So those that make and enforce laws have an interest in maintaining the Monopoly to enforce those laws? Cite him for impersonating an Officer then, but don't criticize the methods since they are exactly the same as your own!"

I see at least one car evaluation/comparison site in the junk advertising in the background each day. It ranks right up there with the "look closely at this picture to see what's wrong" and has a picture that nothing wrong in it but folks think if they click there they'll see some scandal exposed in the picture.
The sites like that just pick and choose info from other sources, usually to achieve the outcome they wanted to begin with. Somewhat political in technique.
On the other hand, many of the groups that supposedly actually drive the cars are using their own specialized value system to judge a car that meant for lots of people. E.g., that would be like if I started driving BMWs and gave my opinion based on my usual type of driving and my needs for a vehicle.
Too bad I can't write for a magazine and get paid. Maybe I could appeal to the senior adult audience. Many of the evaluations are based on what will sell the magazine.
A few years back I started looking at the internet singletons reviewers who do their own driving evaluations. They were more realistic.--no not the hector guy or whatever his name is who's been in several videos posted here giving his opinion.
I had to gas up the RDX tonight. Probably $.10-.2 more than last time I did. stations now out of sync so you can tell the ones that started raising first.
Better fill up the TLX tomorrow. Just in case. More than half a tank I think. Have not driven much this week.

I just downloaded Apple’s new IOS 13, their new operating system for iPhones and other products. Took about an hour. Big changes. The most notable change is the increased speed it loads apps. I also now have the ability to change the format and background inside each app. I use the black background with white lettering as opposed to white background with black lettering - easier for me to read.

Costco raised their gas prices 7-15 cents per gallon, depending on the specific outlet store. The closest store to me is up 4 cents a gallon for PUG while their Boca Raton store is up 15 cents a gallon for PUG.

Who's more right?
More right? Eh. I just think the former cop is making the wrong argument. It isn’t a matter of HOW a non-officer is attempting to enforce the law, it is that they should not be doing it at all. Maybe the LLC is taking it upon him/herself to enforce the speed limit. So I’d rather nobody on the road who is not an officer try to enforce traffic rules.

when people on the road start playing "the law" it often has bad consequences. Just go around and ignore them. Because it is highly unlikely they are going to have some sort of epiphany. Road rage maybe though. Or ending up in an accident.
I don't think I updated Mike. But I still have an iPhone 7. at some point the new OS is going to leave me behind!
I have an iPhone 8+ which is similar to the iPhone 7 with a slightly faster processor and wireless charging. I have not had any problems with the new update thus far.

The former cop is more right by a wide margin. The officer is empowered to enforce the law, has the proper training and the proper equipment (i.e. police vehicle with emergency lights). The person "teaching" the so called lesson has none of those, is driving aggressively and is a hazard on the road. I would think that the person "teaching the lesson" becomes a greater road hazard than the LLC as the former is unpredictable while latter is predictable.

My 6+ finally threw a fit last week. Would no longer allow folks to hear me, even with a headset. I figured 4 yrs was long enough. Was going to get the 8+ since that was the last with a physical Home button, but the monthly was only a buck less than an XR, which is faster, has longer battery life, and is more future proofed. I have quickly gotten used to the lack of a button. Great phone thus far.

Waiting for the iOS 13.1 update which will launch on Sept 24 before upgrading.
Phones. My personal phone is an iPhone eight. Everything seems to be just fine with it, no plans to upgrade.
My original work phone was an iPhone SE. I've had it for three years, and decided it was time to upgrade now that the iPhone 11 was released. I don't do a lot with my work phone other than make calls and a few specific applications, but I did want a larger screen. Decided to go with an iPhone 8+, which I really like after having it for just a few days.
With the exception of some degradation of battery life, our Galaxy S7's are still working perfectly. Haven't really thought about upgrading at this point though if we did we'll likely go with S10's.

For those of you who don't tune into CCBA, I leased a 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport. Took delivery on Tuesday. I'm selling my Infiniti to Carvana.
From the pipes in the back I’m assuming a business write off.
I’m intrigued by those who sell to Carvana, Carmax and the like. What’s the motivation? Is it easier than getting a buy bid from a dealer or do they offer a better price. I ran the Mustang through one of those “get an offer” solicitations and was impress by the amount they offered.

I have an iPhone 7 I just got a little over a year ago. It works fine and is fast enough for what I do on it which isn't much. I accidentally activated Apple CarPlay today and was stumped by what to do with it. In fairness I didn't take a lot of time trying to figure it all out.
@olodfarmer50 - Nope. It is a personal vehicle. I use it for commuting purposes. Not a write off at all. Commercial insurance is very expensive and then I couldn't drive it on the "parkways," and only on the Interstate & designated truck routes.

Same here. Carvana gave me $2,251 more than the dealer offered, and he didn't budge one penny, for Mrs. j's 2012 Legacy this past April. All I needed was $700 more to break even for tax purposes. If there was ever a no brainer, that was it.
