OT rules are different because you can’t have a tie.
So maybe there shouldn’t be ties in the regular season either.

As soon as SF won the toss and decided to take the ball, I thought something was terribly wrong. In a case where both teams get a chance to score you always let the other team go first. That way you know if you have to score a touchdown or not - or to go for a 2 point conversion if you are so inclined.
That has been done in college football for quite a while.
If I missed it, and SF did not win the toss - never mind!
Mahomes is great, but he should have handed that MVP trophy directly to Chris Jones and the defense.
———————————————— I’m pretty sure Tom Brady gave away the truck he got, to his running back, when the Falcons choked away a 28-3 half time Super Bowl lead to the Patriots a few years ago. Kyle Shanahan was the OC of the Falcons when that happened. He and the head coach shouldn’t have been allowed into the locker room after the game for that debacle.
Shanahan has been given a lot of credit for growing a coaching tree but he still hasn’t grown one leaf on the Super Bowl bush. Enjoy the win.

That would be a hard no, and just a soft maybe... if I was 30 years old.

We used to deliver to his stores throughout NY for years. Since his death his son has sold almost all of them off to various buyers. Rumor has it that he would come to our wholesale lot at Albany airport and just point to a row of cars and say “I’ll take that one.”

One fellow at tennis has a 2018 MB AMG SUV with 60000 miles on it. He took it to a chain store for a new battery. When he went in they said they would let their German expert mechanic give the car a 60 point check up. They found he needed $6000 worth of work done to it, including an alignment and brakes - the brakes would be $750. They said he had leaking shocks. He needed tie-rods etc. He was considering selling the car but he took it to his indie Mercedes mechanic. The mechanic said the car did not need anything done to it....if it needed front brakes it would cost $250, rear $500 (could be other way around), but less than $750. The chain store garage sent him an email asking him to do a review....he sure is going to give them a review, and won't be back.

My dealer tried to get me to get a few extras, but $6000 in extras is a little over the top.

If his indie mechanic can put brakes on for $750, they are going to be pretty crappy brakes for a newer Mercedes. Seems weird his mechanic would quote a price for brakes, when he said the car doesn't need anything done to it.
Apparently some type of shooting happened after the KC Chiefs victory Parade. No details at this time, but possibly as many as 10 victims. Crazy. 2 people in custody.

I tried to be clear but I think I wasn't. The Scam Chain Store said brakes would cost $750 for fronts. The indie garage would put brake shoes on for $250, and if they needed resurfacing total $500. But the indie mechanic said his brakes were fine.
In Kansas City I believe the weathermen are in cahoots with the Grocery stores. If possible snow flurries are forecasted, people jam the grocery stores and pick up a months supply of staples. Then when a big snow storm actually hits, it is usually a surprise that comes out of nowhere.

Oh, it’s the same here and in a lot of places I think. They always make forecasts sound like doomsday (hence local news having daily “StormCenter” segments even though there usually aren’t storms very often), a portion of the populace freaks out and starts buying supplies for a month, and it almost always is just a weather day. The weather profession has realized that just as some people like scary movies, there is a segment of the population that they can freak out if they issue a dire forecast, so that’s what they do. The profession has gone into the weathertainment business.
The media build up the weather because it keeps people tuned in, but, they would also like to err on the side of being mistaken that the storm was smaller than predicted, rather than much worse than predicted. Like when Atlanta got hit really badly but they were hoping it would be a small snow storm...and no one was prepared.
And, Lucid has again cut prices. I guess that's a good thing.
I priced out an Air Pure, ~$76k and a Touring, ~$85k with my basic build options. Or perhaps a used 911.

We've done that also but usually, new police vehicles. One time, about 6 of us picked up vehicles for the Ft. Pierce p d and they were marked as such. A buddy & me took I-95 from West Palm to Ft. Pierce and everyone moved over for us it seemed as we passed. Guess it looked weird as we were in tandem the whole way there. We did pass a state trooper and I just hoped he didn't need us to help him!
As OF will attest to, every day is different at work. I usually use that quote from "Forrest Gump" when he says, "life is like a bunch of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get"! We never know what kind of runs we're going to have every day we go in and for me, that's the fun part. Some trips we make are small but some are much longer. And we never know what time we're going to end, could be at 4:30 but can also be at 7:30. Flexibility is the name of the game. Only when our boss tells us "it's safe to say", do we know that the day is done and time to go back to base. All in all, it's a great job for a retiree like me and OF because it gets you out of the house a few days a week and puts some extra bucks in your pocket.

4 year leases, 98k to 112k on the odos. The company leases a lot of vehicles to any number of companies. I’ve picked up some lease return pick ups with over 250k on them and in a lot worse shape than the cop cars.

The car in question was a government auction Chevrolet Impala - early to mid 70's variety. I remember it was beige (likely repainted) and bone stock. Vinyl seats, and I don't even remember if it had a radio.
