Are you giving the dealer the $1973? How is that being applied? Taxes, fees, what?
Cash reduction = 1,973 and rebate reduction of 327.91.
Total Cap reduction: 2,300.91
I believe this is being applied here as Total cap reduction:
2,300.91
Advance payment: 316.87
Doc fee $80
Ufront fees: 328.75
Upfront taxes: 246.47
Other upfront charges: 780.00
Initial payment: 3,973.00
So at least to me it seems a bit unclear how the 1973 is applied.
A 2K rebate takes the initial payment to 3,973.00 and my cash out of hand would be 1,973.

if by any chance you recently graduated from college you could show proof and get another $1000.00 rebate. totaling to 3,000 in rebates.
Does not apply me to, but thank you.
Something to think about Lexus does Multiple security deposits (Look it up) so up to 9 security deposits gets you a .0008 reduction on the money factor, also rounding your monthly payment to the nearest increments of $25. Could be saving money and you get you money back at the end of the lease. Let us know what happens but inquire for the Base rate (just make sure credit is above 720) they could work something out.
Really good to know, but I don't have that type of liquidity right now.
Thanks!
Brand new to Los Angeles, California and the entire leasing game. I'd like to lease a 2014 CT200H hybrid Fsport with Navigation for 27mo and 10K miles a year. What are the current specials? I would like to do zero down but pay the max number of MSD's possible (9 I think it is). I also have an excellent credit rating. I have no idea about the following... 1) which dealer I should go to that will be willing to disclose all the numbers and fees 2) what price I should be paying 3) what the "cap cost" is or what is included in this. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

The money factor is .00090 and the residual is 69%.
The dealer has to disclose the residual, and should give you the money factor, if asked. If the dealer won't supply that information, then you should find another dealer.
The CAP COST is the selling price, plus any fees you roll into the lease, minus any downpayment you make.

Hi everybody, I'm new to lease a vehicle, always purchased because I keep cars for long time (8-10 years).
However, right now Lexus CT200h has a $2,000 lease cash that I won't be taking advantage of if I buy. Does it make sense if I lease the same vehicle now and take that $2,000 and purchase the vehicle at the lease end? I do plan to keep the vehicle for a long time though.

As I understand, if I lease now and buy at the lease-end, there's additional cost compared to buying upfront, such as the acquisition fee (upfront) and the purchase option fee (at lease-end)? Does it pretty much negate the $2,000 lease cash? How about GAP insurance that I need to pay for leased vehicle?
@Michaell said:
Yes. Both are valid charges.
Are you planinng to buy the car with cash at lease end, or finance?
You have to do analysis of lease & buy vs. Buy only from a cost perspective. Total cost to own.
Comparing apple A to apple B (assume the car sale price is 30k, tax aside):
A. Finance the car upfront. Putting down 10k, finance the rest 20k, keep 8 years in total.
B. Lease the car upfront (the price would be 28k because of 2k lease cash) for 36 months. Paying cash at lease end and keep for another 5 years.
Assume everything negotiated to the best of its own, i.e. good APR for financing, good lease terms etc. I just want to know toward the end of 8 year, which one comes out more economical? (ignore cost of money etc, just pure maths)

There are plenty of financial calculators available on the web that can help with the numbers.
For the CT200h, the residual for a 36 month, 15K mile per year lease is 58% and the MF is .00090. Add 2% for 12K per year and 3% to 10K per year leases.
what do you think next month prediction will be for the CT on the rates? (month of july) I know Lexus is having golden ticket event (something like that in August). I'm thinking of bitting the bullet this month but I think next month might get better and August might even better but I have a feeling the program will worsen a little because these companies know just because a sale is going on ppl think they are getting a good deal. Any thoughts?

There is no way for us to predict what will happen to the numbers in future months. If there is a lot of inventory, then Lexus may sweeten the numbers to help move the metal.

If you are at the base MF and you don't think you can get any more of a discount on the selling price, then the deal is as good as it's going to get.

Lexus CT200H F Sport
MF=0.00070
MSRP $38,869.00
Sale Price
Purchase Option $28,763.06
Monthly Payment (Incl Taxes) $291.41
Term w/ 10k/yr x24mo
Total Montly Payments $6,993.84
Acquisition Fee $700.00
Fees & Insurance $414.75
Upfront Taxes $249.30
Total Amount of Lease $8,357.89
MSD's (9) - MF=0.00001 $2,700.00
Amount due at inception $4,355.52
Is this good? No? I didn't get a sales price from the guy, but can that be figured out based on all the information I got or no? Thanks for ANY help!!
Less than $300/mo for a car that stickers close to $40K is a great deal. The high residual and the use of MSDs to lower the MF certainly helped.
