2015 Volvo XC60 Lease Questions

Finalized the deal:

In NJ 2015.5 XC60 T6 AWD - Ocean Race Edition with Platinum, Climate and BLIS package, MSRP $51,720

Got it for ~$49K - 39 month/15K per year lease, $450 per month (including NJ sales tax),

$4.2K trade in and $4.2K out of pocket (total down of $8,400). Includes wear and tear service package (for 36 months) and all weather mats. Dealer originally offered me $3.2K for trade, but added $1K to make the deal work.

Yes - idea was to keep monthly payments lower.

It's not a good idea ... if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money. Same with the trade equity. How much of that went to cap cost reduction?

Slightly off topic.
Dealer needs to get xc60 from another dealer. He says he can not provide a copy of the window sticker before he gets the car. I purchased many new fords, acuras and bmw's in the past and always had a copy of the window sticker before purchasing, if it had to come from another dealer or was being built.

Is this correct?

Why not find out what dealer they are getting the car from and ask them to provide the sticker. Or, strike a deal with the dealer that has the car you want.

Hi, just got a quote on 2015.5 T5 AWD Premier 39/10K for $472 before tax and $535 after tax (VA) abd fees).MSRP $42,920.
Question: is this a good deal? also, why do they prefer 39 months? and what additional cost would incur if i did 39 months vs 36?

What is the selling price? We are unable to model the payment without that information.

Current numbers this month are .00021 and 53% for 39/10; $750 lease cash. 39 month residuals are only 1% lower than 36 months, so your payment is slightly lower for the longer term.

One thing to remember is that you will be responsible for another years worth of registration if you go with a 39 month lease term.

Using your MSRP and discounted sell price, I get a pre-tax payment of $504.10.

Given that the MF equates to an APR of .22%, I don't think it can go any lower via MSD.

Yes! I just leased an xc70 using MSD. They allow up to 10 @ 0.00005 reduction each.

Now I am in the market for a XC60 for my wife. Good luck

just wanted to share with the group that MSD are allowed, however my salesman mentioned that volvo allows the max MSD reduction of money factor down to 0.00001. so given .00009 MF, I can do 1 sec deposit and bring the MF down to 0.00004.

do you think the selling price is competitive (includes conquest rebate), or can do better?

The tax rate is 7.25% where i live.

That would take the 36 month payment to $556.52 and the 39 month payment to $552.78.

So, the 36 month quote from the dealer seems high, but the 39 month quote seems spot on.
