Just got a 2015.5 XC60 T6 AWD with BLIS, PROXIMITY & CONVENIENCE package for 39 months lease with 12K annual miles for $493,65. That equates to I think 0.00076 MF and about 56% residual. Got the $2K volvo cash back for previous volvo owner and 1st month payment paid by volvo. Also included service and wear & tear for term of lease. With Tax in CT total monthly payments are $525.

The residual should be 53%, but the MF is indeed .00076.

2015 - no T5 AWD model available; only T5 Drive-E

2015.5 - .00064 and 50% for 36/15. Subtract 1% for 39 months.

New numbers should be available sometime next week.

Hi again! Wondering if MF an RV's for January on 2015.5 XC60 AWD Premier on a 36/15,000 & 39/15,000 lease stayed at .00064 & 50 percent? I'm talking with a dealer now on this vehicle. He's given me a rate of .00101 and says it's the "current special". Also, do you know if Volvo is offering incentives or rebates this month? I've been watching Edmunds site but nothing has been posted. Thank you!!!

I am new to leasing aspects. Everyone here is asking you about money Factors and residuals.
Where do you get them yourselves?
Would the dealers use the same numbers to lease cars out especially if incentives are coming from manufacturers?

Plus, once you inform users here about MF and RV, where do users go to calculate the rest of the numbers to come up with decent counter to dealer proposed monthly payments?
Any websites with such calculators?

Our numbers come from Volvo.

Dealers should be using the same numbers we quote.

Lots of lease calculators available on the web, or you can build your own using a spreadsheet.

Do you also happen to know if there are any incentives/lease cash for this particular type of vehicle? Is around 42k a good price?

I'm also not in a huge rush to buy right away (can wait till summer) - in your opinion, what's the best time to get a good deal on a Volvo lease?

Sorry guys for mandane  questions.  How do I evaluate Residual Value? Often times it is in the range of 48-54%. How does it affect the lease amount? 
Someone mentioned that BMW keeps theit RV high artificially, thus monthly payments are lower.  Is that the correct correlation?

That is correct .. a higher RV results in a lower payment, all else being equal.

Or it is more like: 550/mo +$1952/39mo(=$50) which sums up to 600/mo?

I'm getting $530.70 pre-tax if I add the sales tax to the selling price, so there must be some extra costs added to the sale price to get the net cap cost.

There are taxes that apply to the final sale price as in this exampl, sale price 44000 and state taxes 10%, makes total 48400.
Is the latter number used for calculating monthly payments? 

Next, there are taxes on every monthly payment.

I know it sounds naive, there is no double taxing here?

I just wld like to understand...

39 months lease for 10,000 miles a year

$860 include all the fees (out of packet ) only 1st payment and DMV $235 +Doc fee $75.

Lease taxes differ based on what state you live in.

Many states simply tax the monthly payment.

Other states (NY, OH, NJ, for example) calculate the sales tax for the entire lease up front - you can either pay the whole amount at lease signing or add it into the cap cost and pay it monthly

A few states (TX, GA, MD), apply sales tax against the entire selling price of the car - again, can be paid up front or add it to the cap cost.

Only one of the above will be applied to your lease. No double taxing.

For the leasing consumers of the 2nd group of states, it sounds unfair to pay taxes for the entire price of the car.

I think WA taxes the monthly payment.

For the second group of states, you are still only paying tax on the depreciated portion you are leasing, plus interest. They simply calculate the entire tax obligation up front, rather than with each monthly payment.

It's the last group of states where you get hammered. IL was part of that group, but they changed the tax laws effective 1/1/15 so now only the payment is subject to sales tax.
