I bought the AWD + Tech for $45,335 (includes destination and all dealer fees) + TTL (~$4000) in New York (Hudson Valley), from Acura of Wappinger falls.
My price seems very close to jojoe58's, so looks like that was the going price in NY / NJ.

I got quotes from few dealers around manuva/jojoe user quotes at $45335 for AWD tech package + Taxes+Fees Springfield Acura, NJ Denville Acura,NJ DCH Montclair Acura,NJ a little higher but fair Sometimes I think all these dealers have a website where they know what to quote and can quote in a exact ballpark range @timtech when do we usually get the price cuts when the newer models are coming in. I got a 2015 awd tech quote of $45000 + dh They did say the 2016s won't be showing up for several months more. I bought my 2009 in June of 2009. So I'm not sure when the real price drops will begin. Luckily it won't be any time soon so I can compare the deals to the 2016 Pilot and RDX.
So new 2016 MDX will have gear select "button", just like latest TLX. Cool! Regardless 5 or 7 seater, I am comparing MDX and 2015 Nissan new Murano. I like the huge glass roof as well as bird view camera. Unfortunately MDX always does not offer these 2 options. Does anyone compate these 2 SUVs? Thanks!
In late Dec 2014, I bought a 2015 MDX AWD (no package) for $42,221, invoice was $42,721, MSRP was 45,685, Destination charged included, tax is extra (about $4000). I live in California, I bought the car in Acura Pleasanton, CA, Steven Lao was the internet sale manager I dealt with. Price was quoted through email and everything is straight forward. I am very happy with the deal and the car!!!
Great, I am also in this area. So from the name, Steven Lao, is he a Chinese speaker? Because that would be even more easier for my family.
Hi, I am buying 2015 MDX base for 42200 out of the door. My MDX will be ready for pickup 2/9/2015 as dealer is arranging it from other dealer. Now 2016 is announced can i still negotiate the price? How does current price sounds? I am in NC we have 3% sales tax and price includes $600 worth accessories (all weather mats, Trunk tray, Lock nuts etc)

If you haven't taken delivery of the vehicle, everything should still be negotiable. It may not look good from a business standpoint, but it's your well-being that you're concerned about.
To me, the 2016 MDX is worth waiting for, especially in the BASE trim since AcuraWatch Plus is available. The 9-speed and updated SH-AWD are just gravy. No need to go to the Technology or Advance Trims just to get the safety features. It is a glaring omission, though, that the AcuraWatch does not include Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitor and is standard on the Technology Trim, whose features (aside from those 2) I have no need for.
You can always say that you changed your mind because of the new features on the 2016 MDX, which seems like a valid reason.
It wouldn't be the first time it's happened but you may run into some noise about whatever paperwork you may have signed. You may just want to call up your salesperson and tell 'em you're having buyer's remorse and are concerned about buying a "year-old" car. They'd prefer working something out instead of losing a sale or worse, having to drag a customer to court to enforce a car sales contract (assuming there is one and that it's enforceable anyway).
If you put up a deposit, that could also be a snag, especially if it was "non-refundable".

Ah, yes. A signed contract and non-refundable deposit will throw a wrench into the situation. Thanks for pointing that out.
There's been lots of posts made over the year that it's not a done deal until the buyer drives the new car out of the dealership. Not sure if that's really true, or whether it's true in NC, but dealers unwind deals all the time.
Purchased a 2015 Acura MDX SH AWD w/Tech Package. I also added the following options: Trailer Hitch (5,000 lb capacity with ATF Cooler & Wiring Harness), Roof Rails, Crossbars, Remote Start III, All weather mats 1st & 2nd row, All weather mats 3rd row. My OTD price from Tischer Acura in Laurel, MD was $50,900. This included the vehicle, all options above installed, $300 dealer processing fee, Maryland sales tax (6%), Maryland title and new Bay tags.
Purchased a 2015 Acura MDX FWD base package in the Phoenix area about a month ago with the following breakdown: $39941.77 sale price + 3235.28 tax (8.1%) + 1187.95 title and document for an OTD of $44365. I only negotiated the OTD price.
Would appreciate confirming MF for MDX with Tech & Ent. I've been quoted .00069 for 36m which is in line with what I've read here. I would prefer a 39m lease if the MF was the same but was told that it would be higher. Thanks!

Signed on a 2015 MDX awd/tech today. This forum was invaluable in negotiating a good price. I called and emailed 6 dealers here in CT prior to even visiting as I knew what I wanted. Was also looking to lease with little money down and payment under $500. Most dealers bailed when I said I wanted below invoice. I had two contenders in the end and I went with the dealer who was the most up front and communicated deals in writing throughout the whole process. I also knew I wanted to get before 3/2/15-not knowing what lease incentives may change to. They wouldn't negotiate on any accessories (starter/mats) but included two free oil changes (about $150.00). Here's the breakdown:

i am looking to buy a 2015 mdx fwd with tech package. Can someone please suggest what would be a good OTD cost ? I am hoping there must be some specials/deals going on with 2016 model out.
I don't really care about the changes added in 2016 model but then again i dpnt have much knowledge, what do the experts here recommend? Planning to keep it for long term.
I see a Price Promise certificate for an Atlanta zip code coming in at $44,880. TMV is a little bit more at $44,946. I see some leasing and financing incentives but no "hood" money yet
So, aim for a sales price just under $45k and then roll your local/state taxes and fees into the price. That will total your OTD target (the dealer will likely counter higher to make more money, cover the "doc" fee, etc.).
Good time to buy since we're almost at the end of the month.
I contacted a dealer in Frisco, TX and the first quote he gave me is 42849 plus raxes and fees (price includes destination fees). This is for 2015 fwd w tech package.
How much do you guys think i can counter or negotiate?
Invoice is $44,270, MSRP is $47,760 and True Market Value is $44,947. (All these numbers include the $920 destination too).
$42,270 would get you $2,000 below invoice. I don't know if that's doable but we see those kinds of numbers now and then for CR-V deals. There must be some manufacturer to dealer incentives out there that we don't know about, in addition to the usual holdback.
I don't think you'll get much lower than you are but I'm not a hardball negotiator. It doesn't cost anything to ask.
There's also some "cheap" money incentives on the MDX if you are thinking of financing.
There's 1.9 % for 24/36 month loans and 2.9% rates for 60 month loans. I'm old enough to remember buying a house at 13%, so 2.9% is practically free money to me.
You have to finance through Acura Financial and I'm sure that your credit score will determine if you qualify for the best rates. Some details can be found on our Incentives page but the dealer will have the fine print. It never hurts to line up your own financing beforehand too. If you snag, say, 1.9% on a 60 month loan, the dealer may still be able to meet or beat it with one of the lenders they work with (dealers make a "commission" packaging car loans).
This blog helped me a lot in choosing the price of my new MDX. Now I want to give back my experience. I bought new 2015 MDX FWD Tech pack in Nevada state. Here are the details:
MSRP: 47,040 Selling price: 43,785 Sales tax: 3587 (High in Nevada) Documentary fees, title fee etc: 520 Out to door Total Paid: 47,892 Registration not included.
Basic rule I noticed is that you can get the car out to door with the MSRP price..
Hi - I wanted to share the price I paid for the 2015 AWD MDX with Tech Package in the Chicagoland area. Graphite with greystone interior. Cost out the door, exclusive of sales tax (differs by county) and inclusive of first, second and third row all weather mats + cargo hinge tray, new licence plates ($196), destination, doc fee - $45,667. Hope this helps prospective buyers. Was also able to negotiate much better finance rate they were offering me, which was 2.99% for 60 months versus 1.79% I negotiated and received.
About a month ago, MDX AWD base in NJ, price 41200 + Tax only. Have to finance from Honda for 1.9%. However, have a trade-in of 2012 Honda Pilot EXL for 23000. Hope this will help.

Could you break down your OTD? Thanks.

Using the base MF of .00069 and the 36/15 residual of 59% for FWD base, I get a pre-tax payment of $430.58 when I use your MSRP and selling price.
Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is .. and, if it's different than the selling price (I'm betting it is), ask them to explain the difference.
