Just got a quote for $900 down and $419/mo for a Laredo 4x2 with 53% mf .00017 and 12k. Seemed high to me, but dealer insisted could not be a better offer. This is in socal. Is he wrong?

Hard to say ... what is the MSRP and selling price?

I confirm both the .00017 MF and 53% residual for 36 months, 12,000 miles per year on the JGC Laredo 4x2.

Question, can you tell me what fees are negotiable for a Jeep Grand Cherokee Lease? For instance, I received a quote with a "Termination fee $450" and a "Disposition Fee $395." I also noticed there was $350 included in the purchase option. Are these negotiable or standard lease terms.

Not sure why it's listed twice - most banks are now charging a fee if you turn the car in and not lease another model from the same manufacturer. Often called either "Disposition" or "Termination" fee. Ask the dealer what the difference is.

The $350 is added, I believe, onto the purchase price if you buy the car at the end of the lease.

These are imposed by the bank and cannot be negotiated out.

Hi! I am new to leasing, so please bear with me. I have been reading so many articles and been getting so many unsolicited tips and advice that I am overwhelmed and in need of some actual expert advice.

I am in the market for a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am not exactly sure how the additional options affect things besides raising the sticker price. (Do they affect the residual as well ) But I am trying to compare monthly lease estimates between the:

Laredo E 4x2 with Radio Group (8.4" Touchscreen and larger tires)
Altitude 4X2
Limited with Touchscreen

Can I get the MF and Residual for these based on a 15k/month lease?

I am going on the assumption that I can get the MSRP's down by roughly the same amounts based on my recent negotiations with a few car dealerships. So, aside from MF and Residual, is there anything else I should factor in to get a somewhat accurate monlthy payment estimate?

The MF and residual at set values. Your adjusted cap cost is you biggest variable. You also need to look at acquisition fee( can be increased), doc fees/dealer fees, and money down also as variables.

What is the MSRP? We'd need that to model a payment.

Base MF on that model is .00018, so your dealer is marking that up on you for extra profit.

Not sure I believe what your dealer is telling you. Try another dealer and see if you get the same story.

Looking at a 4x4 Grand Cherokee Altitude. Hoping you could provide residual and money factor on a 36 or 39 month lease. The only tricky thing is that i need 18k miles. I wasnt sure if chrylsler financial offers a 18k percentage or if they just use the 15k and then charge you the overage (.15 cents per mile?).

.00018 and 55% for 36/15; 39 month term is not competitive this month.

Yes, extra miles can be bought up front, but I don't know the rate. Usually .10-.25 per mile.

We only have numbers for Chrysler Finance, so we cannot evaluate the second deal - also, what was the MSRP on that?

For the first deal, I'm getting a pre-tax payment of $528.25, so I'm not quite sure how the dealer is getting to $499.72.

Michaell I assume you are talking about the quote with the 517.34 payment ? After looking them over think I will go with the Chrysler lease for 499.72 instead of the IDL lease. As the high M/F and low residual sort of takes the air out of the big incentive offered. Thanks very much for your help.

Yeah, something doesn't add up. Is this lease through Chrysler Financial?

Ask the dealer for the net cap cost and get them to explain how they arrived at that number from the selling price.

I haven't pushed to the point of really negotiating yet because of this not adding up so this is all I've seen so far.    When I plug in the numbers from that sheet I get 367 or something.  I may be doing something wrong but don't think so.

Well, I don't know the MF from Ally, so it's hard to do an accurate calculation - and we can't tell if the dealer is marking up the MF. Ally leases for Chrysler also include the rebate, as your sheet shows.

Work to negotiate the lowest selling price before applying the rebate. Use the pricing tools at the top of the page (make / model / year) to help figure out a target price.
