@spinergy does your price included college grad or milittary cash back?
Nope, no incentives listed on the sale docs at all (of course the current $1,000 dealer cash for the EX-L allowed for the lower price). They never asked me about these incentives and I didn't ask them because I know I don't qualify.
Also no trade in or anything else for the dealer to make back some "hidden" profit. I asked about HondaCare but did not buy it from the dealer as they cannot get close to the online HondaCare prices (~ $1,400 for a $0 deductible 8 year / 120k policy, FWIW).
It's funny how the email quotes keep coming after you buy the car (and after I've sent out thank you emails to dealers saying I've bought it elsewhere).
Got one today for 32,750 OTD for an EX-L in Northern Virginia - Brown's Honda.

Yes, I got it from Pohanka for 32,024 OTD -- the "got one today" is talking about the email I got today offering the car after I already bought one. I'm still getting a bunch of emails even after I told the dealers I've already purchased a car.
The Brown's data point is just to show that other dealers are also in the pricing neighborhood of my deal, so it's not an isolated deal and shows that you should be able to find the color combo you want for a good price.
Am I doing something wrong or do all Oregon dealers simply charge more? I keep reading about readers getting quotes in the $30k-31k range for EX-L w/o Nav or RES yet all the dealers around Portland are sticking to their $32k-33k price. Have a 7 month pregnant baby and we need a van ASAP! Any advice is much appreciated!
Appreciate all the help on the forum and the ongoing discussions. Purchased a TE today from Weir Canyon Honda in Anaheim, CA for $41,290 out the door, including TTL, dealer fees and other misc charges.
@cartman503, can you expand your search area? You can get dealer quotes here under the Make | Model dropdown tabs up top - you can also check inventory that way. Check out the posts by @brian125 in the Accord discussions - he shares a lot of car buying tips.
So we just bought [2/11/2015] a 2015 Odyssey EX-L with no accessories / no NAV / no RES for 30,370 incl destination. OTD was 32,024 with Virginia tax (4.05%).
This was about $1k better than other dealers in the area (Washington DC suburbs) - had two or three other dealers come down to approximately 31,200 +TTL +doc fee (or about 33,250-33,500 OTD).
Dealer is Pohanka Honda in Capitol Heights, MD and the helpful salesperson is Karlton - he told me to tell people to come on down. Car is new with 3 miles on the odometer and got the promo Honda financing rate too (0.9% or 1.9% depending on loan term length).
@spinergy Do you have price for EX? Thanks for sharing your detail. I'm planing to visit dealer soon.
Just a quick heads up for anyone in the market for a new Odyssey---Honda just recently increased their factory to dealer incentives by another $500, making it $1,000 for LX and EX models, and $1,500 for EX-L and above. It is a great time to buy if you are in the market for a new Odyssey... http://tellmethebest.com/honda.html
Be kind to the people you meet on the way up, because you're going to meet the same people on the way down.
I recently picked up a new 2015 EX base at Ray Price Honda in PA. after internet shopping for over a month. Price breakdown is as follows:
$28,843 - Sale Price (including destination) $2,343.49 - 8.125% NY Sales Tax $291.60 - New NY registration/plate fees $134 - Ray Price Documentation Fee 31,612.09 - Total Out the Door Price I registered it in N.Y. so they took care of the paperwork for me. I did pay an additional $32 to get new plates instead of transferring my old ones over. Pricing was better than Tellmethebest's price at the time when we agreed on the final price, but it has come down even more since due to the additional $500 incentive. Working with this dealership was a very easy and pleasant experience with zero pressure whatsoever to buy accessories or an extended warranty. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a new Odyssey near the Poconos.

Thanks. Please excuse this if it is posted in the wrong thread, but I think anyone shopping for an Odyssey may come across this thread first and part of the deal will be looking into an extended warranty. Anyone who recently purchased or is going to purchase a new Odyssey or any other Honda for that matter and is looking to get a genuine Hondacare extended warranty, I strongly suggest purchasing online from one of these 2 dealerships, which basically offer the warranties at cost. I have read on other forums that buyers have paid literally double than what these 2 dealers charge. The links are here: http://tellmethebest.com/car-value.html Also, you may find this article very interesting about Saccucci Honda and their use of the internet to make tons of sales of Hondacare warranties: http://www.autonews.com/article/20080909/ZZZ_SPECIAL/309099961/hondas-family-squabble Just taking a few minutes looking at this article and these links can literally save you hundreds of dollars or more on your purchase.

I'm in Kentucky. We are hitting the end of my hubby's Accord SE lease. Our usual dealer has offered to pay remaining payments (5 more months at $220/mo) and put us in Odyssey (which would like) EX for 399/mo (12K/36 mo). We will def drive more than that so looking to buy and much prefer the EX-L model. Any suggestions for what OTD price we should negotiate? Sales tax in KY Is 6%

We just purchased (2 weeks ago today) a new 2015 Honda Odyssey EX in southern California for $31,213.73 out-the-door. That breaks down to:
Base Price: $28,456.00 Accessories (Door Edge Guards): $197.00 Doc Fee: $80.00 Sales Tax (7.5%, Ventura County): $2,154.98 Electronic Vehicle Registration Fee: $29.00 Title and License: $296.75
We did all our pricing negotiation through internet departments. I requested quotes from 12 dealerships. Most of them were between $29,500 and $30,000 base. The dealer we purchased through (Kolbe Honda in Reseda, CA) came in much lower than everyone else. Our purchase was completely hassle free and we really enjoyed the experience. I really wanted to push for the door edge guards to be thrown in for free as I know they are a cheap part, but the internet salesman did such a good job, we just decided to give it to him and be done with the process.
So far we love this car. It is a very comfortable ride and the technology in it makes it a lot of fun. We have two small children in car seats and a third on the way, so it was time to make the step up to a minivan. We are not regretting our decision one bit and we would highly recommend the Honda Odyssey and Kolbe Honda.

One thing - in CA you pay tax based on your address, not where you bought the car? I don't remember that being the case when I lived there 20+ years ago.

That's correct. We paid tax based on where the car is registered, not where it was purchased, which was a good thing for us. Ventura County is 7.5% in most places (including where we live). If we were paying Reseda sales tax, I believe it would have been 9%.

Good to know. It's the same way here in Colorado.
Good to see the 805 represented. I was just there a couple weeks ago visiting family.
Purchased a 2015 Odyssey EX (no RES/NAV) today from Motorcars Honda in Cleveland Hgts. Ohio. Out the door at $27,782. Dealer threw in all weather floor mats and Lifetime Powertrain warranty.
Price Breakdown
Vehicle 28,100 Documentary fee 250 Tax 1755 Title/Reg 19 Trade in of 2001 Odyssey Lx (-2342)
Rick Case in Cleveland offered the same price but we chose Motorcars for the all weather floor mats. (Helpful in the snowbelt)
I emailed 7 surrounding dealers and eventually received replies w/ offers from 6. ( The one stated their price was too good to advertise or email and to stop in after I had collected my best offer. Ummmm, how about no? Off the list they went.)
After about ten days of working the price down over the internet I took my trade to the three lowest quote dealerships to get it valued. Took the trade offers ( low offer 700 to high offer of 2300) and solicited new out the door quotes.
Happy with the van and the deal I was able to get.
I will say that the Honda dealers here in Houston are very tough on price and unreasonably stubborn with their dealer packs and add-ons.
I bought w Big Star Honda (Jim Bullock) and they offered fair pricing at first inquiry with no games. They beat the lowest and best offers I received from 5 other local dealers by $1500-$2000.
Now I'm debating whether to buy the 8yr Hondacare warranty for $1300 from an online dealer...it's a tough call.

Hello - Are you able to give a detailed breakdown of these costs?
New to the forums but figured I'd post a deal I just recently negotiated on a 2015 Odyssey Touring Elite as I'm new to dealing with Honda (have dealt with BMW in the past before).
Purchased a new 2015 Odyssey EX-L for $30200 (including dest) plus TTL. in Ohio. Dealer also threw in a free Propak (all weather mats. winter mats, wheel locks, splash guards, cargo tray)

Very comfortable with this deal and surprised how far below invoice they are going at this point. Just thought I'd share and welcome any feedback.
ocram_00, This looks like a great deal. Is this for 36mo and 12k a year? Also was it $0 out the door or did you pay the fees up front?
I was also trying to negotiate a lease for a Touring Elite but couldn't get the selling price down to that low. Were there any other discounts or incentives involved?

Yes, 36 month and 12K/year and yes, $0 out the door with all fees rolled into the lease. I was actually surprised that they came with a good starting price of ~$40,500. The Truecar price was about $41,000, so I only asked to go down to $40K. However, when I asked about fees to start, they only told me about the $199 admin fee and when they sprung the $595 acq. fee, I told them they needed to adjust the price and they agreed to bring it down to the $39,600 (good enough for me).
I'm sure there are some kind of incentives on their end to come so low or maybe it has to do with 2016's coming out soon, but it actually was relatively painless to get there.
I'm in the market for a 2015 EX-L, in the Phoenix area. Any recent prices paid in this area? I didn't see any details in this thread on what people are paying here.
The incentives have been extended until May 11th. If you are in the market for a new Odyssey, start emailing the internet managers now to close a deal by the end of the month. Don't forget to use this site as a guide and if you plan on getting an extended warranty use the links on the site to get it at their cost: http://tellmethebest.com/honda.html
Be kind to the people you meet on the way up, because you're going to meet the same people on the way down.
Decided I didn't want to put in the extra work to push down the price any further (my husband thinks I could have saved another 1k) so I agreed to $30,988 including destination at a dealership in the SF Bay Area. Final cost with TTL came out to 34,212 as taxes here are a bit higher. I also used internet pricing from one dealer to haggle this one lower and printed out the page vinnyg suggested as another data point. Overall I'm pretty happy with what I paid even if I could have saved another 1k - decided that it just wasn't worth my time. Good luck to you all!
I just purchased Odyssey EX-L for $30,150 + TTL in Northern Virginia/DC metro area. Out the door with Virginia taxes was $31,500. Extremely happy with the deal. I had another offer for $31,750 OTD and everyone else was in mid $32,000.

Looking into purchasing a 2015 Honda Odyssey EX-L w/ Nav Southern California area either at the end of the month or two/three months from now. Will purchasing incentives/deals get better due to 2016 model coming out?
Hi, I just bought a 2015 Honda Odyssey with EX-L with Nav for $32,905. I think it was ok although I am thinking if I pushed a little maybe another $500-1000? But, I traded in my MDX for near 7k as a trade in.

Hi, newbie here just getting started on purchasing 2015 EX-L Odyssey. I was going to start emailing the dealerships in my area (Indianapolis). Is there anything particular to say on the email or just simply ask for the best price?
Hi everyone ! I am in search of EX-L no RES-NAV and been getting some offers for 34.000 out the door in NJ with nothing extra. Is this a good deal? After reading your post i tried to get 32.000 out the door to see if they counter and pretty much did not go down a penny from their 34k . Seems ok but reading in this thread makes it seem like i am getting a terrible deal. Please share some knowledge or input to what to do. Thank you !
@thalamus - would you mind sharing what dealership you purchased from? I am not getting as low of quotes here in Indiana, and not too far from Ohio so thought it would be worth a shot. Thanks.

Price breakdown is as follows:
$28,843 - Sale Price (including destination)
$2,343.49 - 8.125% NY Sales Tax
$291.60 - New NY registration/plate fees
$134 - Ray Price Documentation Fee
31,612.09 - Total Out the Door Price
I registered it in N.Y. so they took care of the paperwork for me.
