I am in Tampa,Fl and looking to buy 2015 EX-L Odyssey and was quoted as OTD price of 33979 (pin striping, wheel locks, nitro in the tires, splash guards and cargo tray).

Is this good price? I think about 600 dollar more. Requesting advise/guidance,

I am looking for Odyssey base EX-L no nav/RES in Tampa FL and have been quoted so far OTD of 35,000. This includes new Tag, Title and Tax.

@chiku18 , what dealership are you dealing with? your price looks better than what I am getting..

2015 Odyssey Touring Elite - We tied down the details of the deal before visiting or speaking to anyone at this dealership. From what we've heard this is a good time to get a deal.

MSRP (incl. dest chrg ) 45,430

    Also included:
    - All season mats
    - Cargo Tray
    - Splash Guards
    - Pin Stripes

    Paid Vehicle 40,671
    Fees 483
    Tax (7% IN) 2,846

    Out the door - 44,000

To the penny of what was agreed by email. No push to add anything at closing. We already knew they'd try to sell the extended to which we just said no thanks. Good luck. Dealer is in southern Indiana area.

    Negotiated Price...38,565 :)
I actually had 3 dealers at this price... one in Illinois, one in Wisconsin, one in Georgia.

    CVR/Filing Fee...25

Thanks to everyone who posted their details. Here is what I purchased on Memorial Day in late May. Negotiated exclusively via email and had matching offers from several Northern Virginia dealers. It came down to who had the color my wife wanted.

2015 Odyssey EXL RES Crystal Black Pearl
    Vehicle 31,500
roof rack & cross bars 488
    Processing 599
    TTL 1382.52

    Out the door 33,969.52

Could you provide the name of the dealership you purchased from? Do you think they'd still offer that pricing? How did you get it back to your home state? Do they ship it? Sorry I'm clueless with car buying. I didn't even know that you could negotiate via email!!! I almost made a huge mistake purchasing a used 2015 Exl with nav with 11k miles for $31750. I obviously didn't do my hw. I'm so thankful I stumbled across this before signing tomorrow morning....

    Lucky timing. :)

You can get cars shipped but why not try for some quotes from dealers within, say, 100 miles of you? We have a dealer quote service when you drill down to the Odyssey using the Make | Model tabs above.

And yeah, sometimes new cars are better deals than recent used cars.

stever, do you think it's worth waiting for the 2016 new body to come out to purchase the 2015? Does it usually come out at end of summer? How much will the difference be? Trying to decide if it's worth waiting... Thank you!!

Probably better deals on the 15's but selection is getting thin.

Pohanka Honda in VA quoted me 32, 900 plus TTL on a 2015 EX-L with RES. Also, if you want Honda Care, you need to specifically ask for it, they don't typically offer it from this dealership. Bring an online quote and they will get close to it if you want to roll it into the financing.

I just purchased an EX-L with RES for $31,565 excluding a $185 doc fee plus TT&L. from Smart Honda in Des Moines, IA. They have about 30 2015's left in various trim levels. It was the best pricing I found in the area and seems to be competitive nationally. $599 for processing seems quite high as indicated in a recent post.

I just bought a 2015 EX-L RES in black from Rock Hill, SC today for 33,879 bucks out the door. Simple deal. No trade in was involved, and I used my own credit union for financing at 2.25 percent.

We're interested in a 2015 LX. Seems hard to find. We only need a 7 passenger van so reluctant to spend money on an EX for a seat I won't be using and have to store. We need the aisle between the second row seats for people and pets. Maybe someone can answer a question for me. If the middle seat in the second row is removed, what is left on the floor? Is there a base the seat attaches to, is it just some slots the seat hook into? Is there something left on the floor that people or pets could trip over?
    thanks

End of the month is better for deals. Waiting a while for the dealers to begin clearing out "old" inventory is good too, but the selection gets lousy.

Check for posts from @brian125 for good dealers in your area.

Just bought (8/12/15) a 2015 Odyssey EXL in Maryland after using a mixture of the method described at http://tellmethebest.com/car-deal.html and comments from this forum to get the best price.

This was my best car buying experience!

Got quotes from several dealers and did all negotiating over email.

2015 Odyssey EXL (without RES or Navi)
    Vehicle $29,500
    Destination $880
    Processing $300
    Dealer equipment $300 (protection package)
    Total before TTL: $30,980
    TTL 2,225

    Out the door cost $33,205

    Tips:
When you are about to close the deal, make sure to confirm whether or not the vehicle they are quoting has any dealer added accessories or hidden fees that haven't been mentioned yet . That cost was conveniently never included in negotiation and I was surprised by that added fee at signing.

Ask for detailed price breakdowns. Responses that say "I can do $X." are too vague.

I'ma assuming that price was the base model and not the EX-L RES?

    Tire tax: $7.50

Basically, your selling price is $40,059.00 (Price+Destination+Documentation fee). That's $1626.00 under invoice. There's $1500.00 in dealer cash (not consumer cash) that most dealers will pass on in the form of a lower cost, that means you're $126.00 UNDER invoice. I'm not saying that's a bad deal but, you could find yourself pushing a bit harder. On the other hand, if there are few Touring Elite's in NJ/NY/CT, you may not get the type of under invoice deals you usually see posted here. For example, here in the upper mid-west, supply is starting to shrink and deals we were making in may and June are no longer reasonable.

    Hi,
I was able to buy a 2015 EX-L no Nav no RES for 32,497$ out of door from VA. Since I was particular about the color (Dark Cherry Pearl), I had to pay more. Other dealers quoted 32,197$ incl all weather mats for other colors. Thank you for all your help.

The current Honda incentives don't expire until 9/7, so this weekend or next should still get you a good deal.

Just purchased a 2015 LX in DC area (MD). $24,568 + $299 processing fee + 6% MD sales tax and licensing fees. It was Labor Day ad car. Finance was 1.9% over 60 months. Was deciding between this, a '15 Ody EXL or '16 Pilot LX but felt this Odyssey (LX) offers better space/utilization for at least $5K less. Looking forward to another 20 years in a minivan (my last minivan and current Home Depot car is a 20 yo Previa and it's still a beast).
  • rictomrictom Member Posts: 89
ck90211: did you find a lot of LX vehicles in general, and good choice of colors? What color did you get? I'm across the country and really would like a particular color which is hard to find. I will let color go if necessary but since this van will also last me a long time I'd like to get the color I want.
    thanks

I got the dark gray, which was our preferred color (for either Odyssey or Pilot). And I did not see any other LX's at few dealers; probably because they prefer higher models/higher profit cars, and, most buyers want more electronics, screens and power toys (including me initially). Wouldn't surprise me if LX makes up for less than 15% of Odysseys built/sold. But I am glad I opted for LX for savings and simplicity, and very happy with the ride/handling for such big car.
  • rictomrictom Member Posts: 89
Thanks ck90211; I agree, not a lot of LXs out there. LX is what we want in the dark blue as first choice. Not a lot at any of the dealers near me. May have to wait for the 2016s.
  • rictomrictom Member Posts: 89
Ck90211: is the gray what they call the modern steel metallic, or the smoky topaz? I think the steel metallic is our secondary color. I'm a primary color guy myself but I want to make sure I use the right name. Thanks
