I don't see anyway in the world that a SE automatic can be bought for under 17K. That is 3000 under invoice. There is definitely something not right with this deal.
  • rishipriship Member Posts: 65
Anybody know if the amount changed today. I just got an email today on an EXL at 1100 under invoice in the philly area. Seems like the dealer cash must have gone up.

Can you let us know the dealership name ?
  • msisengmsiseng Member Posts: 369
Why would you want the new Camry with the transmission issues? Look at their Edmunds.com Forum. With the heavy duty tires you feel the bumps?

This car is as smooth as my Infiniti and almost as smooth as some Jaguars I had.

$24,750 - $24,900 (including destination) and not including Taxes & Tags are the going prices to beat for the EX-L V6 without Navi. This may go lower with the dealer cash incentives people are hinting at?
  • jstewie23jstewie23 Member Posts: 14
I checked out the EX V6 w/o Navi yesterday in Central, NJ. Here are the updated numbers for May for leasing.

    Money factor = 0.00089
    Residual 58% (56% w/Navi)

My payments came out to $336 for 36 months w/15k miles per year. I was offered $25627 (about $500 above invoice) with only inception fees and 1st month payment down ($1280). Inception fees were made up of:
    bank fee - $595
    doc fee - $167
    tags/registration - $175

    Hope this helps.

I recently paid $20,200 + TTL for V4 Automatic LX SE which includes pro pack(mud guards, trunk trays+wheel locks)+Tinted windows+Stipes.

Is this reasonable deal for DFW area around Dallas texas?
  • wagnerpewagnerpe Member Posts: 21
I bought mine last Friday at $16,875, but got this e-mail from Honda of Lisle this morning.

"I just wanted to check in with regarding the Accord VP. Did you get a car yet? I can offer you a price of $16,751 for the Accord VP and I do have (1) in-stock at this time."

I'm happy with my price because I got to take advantage of the special financing that expired on 5/1/06, but I wanted to pass this on to anyone who may need it.
  • r3drum1r3drum1 Member Posts: 3
It was just an alternate choice to compare the two cars. I paid about 24500 before TTL, however just felt like I should of at least check out some other options as well. Don't get me wrong, the car is real nice, but after driving the bumpy but roomy Pilot, I thought the ride would be a bit more smooth and quiet. Also received 22K for the trade in of the 05 Pilot with 22800 miles. Was that a fair deal?

our 03 exl was damaged last week in an accident and i started looking around for a replacement (used). in the process i got to talking to one of the local dealers who mentioned there was significant money to the dealers right now. given how well hondas hold their value that got me thinking that i should also consider a new car for lowest total cost of ownership over a couple year time horizon (my horizon for this car).

anyway, to make a long story not so long, i did an inquiry of several of the bay area dealers and got some pretty aggressive pricing. i asked for pricing on a new 4 cylinder ex-l with automatic. so far i've gotten three dealers at or below $22k including delivery. that's $1k or more below listed invoice. i don't know how the used car guys are going to sell anything with this going on.... :)

Edmunds reports "marketing support" dealer incentives of $750 for Accord sedans and $1,000 for Accord coupes for the month of May.
  • qbrozenqbrozen Member Posts: 33,762
hmmmm... anyone know if the low lease deals are still in effect this month? And, if so, can this marketing money be combined with it?

    Hey folks:

I am looking to buy a new car soon. My current car (1992 Lexus ES. Its been a great car over the past 14 years!) is on its last legs (Control arm going, valve cover gasket leaking, A/C condenser leaking), but still runs fine and gets me from point a to point b.

I will probably end up getting an EX manual coupe. I was thinking of waiting until the end of July or August when the incentives got really good. How much better do people expect them to get though? $1000 incentive allowing coupes to go for around $1000 under invoice sounds really good! How much cheaper will they get come June, July, and August? Any insight is helpful as this will be the first car I am buying (the lexus was a hand me down from my dad).

    Thanks,

    Maneesh

well, i'm no expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure Honda has typically only gone up to $1k dealer incentives on the Accord in past years, even come October, so I don't think it will get any better.

Dealer called me this morning stating that he was willing to sell VP model with AT for $16,963.00 plus TT&L. Don't see a lot of posts here from folks who live near this area but am wondering if I should ask for a lower price. Am wondering just how much an effect the new Sonata is having on Accord sales, one thing is for sure customers are the one's benefiting.

    Hi,
I am in dallas too...what dealer did U get the car from? I am looking to get Accord SE sedan manual. Can you give me the break down on the charge for the accessories? like the pro pack tinted windows +stipes.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
Just purchased a 2006 EX-L V6 6sp. I wanted to get an extended warranty but the dealership would not budge on $1400 for 5yr/100,000.
What prices have others been able to get? I am looking for a Honda warranty if possible, not a third party warranty.

    Hi wagnerpe
I was wondering what equipment you got on your Accord VP for that price. You certainly can't beat that price for an Accord. Thanks for any info you can give me. tmen56
  • wagnerpewagnerpe Member Posts: 21
The VP (value package) is the most basic of the Accords. It doesn't even have optional packages to choose from like other cars do. Honda just packages it with many of the creature comfort options, but nowhere near the whistles and bells of the EX. I know you could add an MP3 player and fancy floor mats and all the other accessories, but you couldn't add a moonroof even if you wanted to.

Off the top of my head, it came with power windows and locks, keyless entry, CD player (just one, not the 6 disc changer), automatic transmission, a/c, and side curtain airbags.

It did not come with (as compared to the LX, the next cheapest version): power side mirrors, power drivers seat, lighted vanity mirrors, maplights, a change holder in the center armrest console, two power outlets (it came with one); there is no flipdown armrest in the backseat, and the outside is slightly different (it has black door handles and side view mirrors). Oh, and it's only available in 4 colors - dark blue, silver, white and a metallic beige.

These missing things were all things I could live without. I am going to put a lot of miles on the car (have a 56 mile roundtrip commute to work 5 days a week), so I'm not looking for big resale value.

hondacars.com has a nice chart that details what comes on each model, including the VP. Try there for everything I've forgotten.

Just for reference, Honda's don't come with option packages like Toyotas do. The only option available is on the EX-L models, and that option is a Navigation System.

The Value Package (VP) stereo is indeed a single-disc player, with only 2 speakers, and sound quality does suffer greatly compared with the next-step-up LX, which has 6 speakers.

I agree with wagnerpe, that the website will have all the information you need concerning trim level differences. You can click the link provided below to take you there directly.

  • msisengmsiseng Member Posts: 369
The Toyota option frenzy is why I bought the Honda. What a mess trying to guess at Toyota prices. Which cars had the airbags, eight speakers, a map light, etc... It was too much work for a car with transmission problems!

Regarding the previous quote...do not skip the Nav. package. It is truly outstanding.

I am getting this deal in Norm Reeves Honda in California. I could have probably dropped it to $16,400 but I just wanted the car for the higher price. Try for $16,400 if you can.
  • jworthingtonjworthington Member Posts: 42
Ok, I know this is a Honda forum, but part of my question does deal with my price for an Accord.

Three options; '06 Camry LE, '07 Camry LE, '06 Accord SE

'06 Camry is: Grey, Leather, Protection ($699 one), Inkei Alloy Wheels, Remote Security System, Side Curtain Airbags. Mgrs car with 5k miles. MSRP is $25,400. They agreed to $21,250 + TTL

'07 Camry is: Green, Cloth, Rear Lip Spoiler, Monochromatic Mirror, Alloy Wheels (from another Camry next to it). MSRP is $22ish. I am offering $20,400 + TTL.

'06 Accord SE. Silver, Cloth, dealer installed protection package of floor mats, trunk liner, etc. MSRP is $22,075. I am going to offer $20,000 + TTL.

I have an '04 Volvo XC90 that I am going to use as a trade...although they do not know this. So I am not worried about the 3% NC tax. Dealer fee on both lots is about $400.

Which one? Good prices? I haven't offered anything for the Accord, yet, so if I can come down some more, let me know.

    Thanks.
  • thegraduatethegraduate Member Posts: 9,731
I think the 2006 Camry is incredibly overpriced in this situation. 5,000 miles and an out-of-date model. Shouldn't be over $20,000 (esp not without the 3.0 V-6).

The 2007 Camry would be good if you can get it for the price you offered. If you get it for more than $1,500 off sticker, you'll be doing good for such a new model.

You might can swing a slightly lower price on the LX-SE Accord, but $20,000 buys you a lot of car for the money in the SE Accord, so it wouldn't really be a bad deal.

I say go for the 07 Camry at your price first, then the Accord at $20k. I would touch the demonstrator for less than $20k, and I have a little reasoning for it. My girlfriend's father is general sales manager at a reputable luxury car store (Audi is his focus). His demo Audi A6 is driven incredibly hard; and he'll get another new one in 6 months. I wouldn't want that car knowing how its been driven, and for that reason, I'd avoid the dealer's demo.

    Good luck with shopping!

Hi, I'm in Southern California and just got an email quote of $24,200, not including tax and license for an 06 Accord EX V6. Am I doing o.k.? I got the consumer report "bottome line" price and they are quoting $24,400 for this car.
  • gilnashgilnash Member Posts: 19
This dealer shows lower prices, $23,207:
Grand There are negative reviews of this dealer on these boards.

Here's another dealer that has offers:
    Berlin City

It's difficult determing a fair price. Honda only advertises lease prices, not sale prices. I really hate doing business with an industry that treats its customers so badly.
  • ral2167ral2167 Member Posts: 791
got a quote for $20999 for msrp $24700 ex-L coupe 5 speed manual. anyone buy this model for less? i know they're rare due to the manual tranny.
  • jworthingtonjworthington Member Posts: 42
Is the Berlin City dealership for real? I haven't found anyone in NC that can touch those prices. Heck, it might even be worth it for me to drive up there, do the trade in (of course that is the long pole in the tent) and bring the car back and STILL save money.

At the least, I will print out that page and take it in with me.
  • bigpapidobigpapido Member Posts: 18
I was quoted about $23,427 from Long Beach Honda and $23,368 from Honda of Oxnard. I'm looking for the same thing...06 EX V6 Auto. They also quoted me about 1800 more for the navi.
  • elizasmom1elizasmom1 Member Posts: 19
I know there is about $2000 difference between the MSRP of the VP and the MSRP of the LX. However, how do actual selling prices compare? Are dealers willing to negotiate on the LX more than on the VP, or is it about the same? I don't have to have an LX, but if it turns out I can get one for just a few hundred more than a VP, I'll do it.
  • exshomanexshoman Member Posts: 109
You didn't say if this included destination or not, or what the dealer fees were, but it's still a good deal. I bought this exact same model a couple weeks ago and here's what I paid before TTL:
    21187 base price
    550 destination
    100 processing fee
280 added equipment--mud guards, wheel locks, and pinstripe

That last part got added because the dealer did not have the EX-L manual in stock, so he had to get it from another dealer, which already had them on. The upside was that we could get the exact color combo that we wanted (Carbon Bronze w/black leather).

I am in the market for a Accord EX-L , 4 door, Automatic, with Navigation in the Southern California Area.

My best internet quote is $23,495 for this configuration. This seems like a good price ($800 below invoice).

How much additional savings can you generally negotiate from an internet price quote? My goal is to get the car for $22,900. Is that unrealistic? Can anyone else post their experiences for this configuration. Thanks!
  • ral2167ral2167 Member Posts: 791
the $20,999 include destination but not tax and title.

I am looking at a EX-L 4cyl sedan. MSRP is $25,500. It is Alabaster Silver with gray interior. What is the best price anyone has seen in the Indianapolis area? Thanks
  • swiftlivesswiftlives Member Posts: 8
I'm wondering about the Dealer-installed options. The pinstriping, tire locks, and mud guards. Has anyone had any luck avoiding these? Is there any way to get an Accord without these options? Do all Honda dealerships install these 'options'?

I just don't see any need for them. I hate pinstriping, and I see no use for wheel locks or mud guards.

Also - in terms of additional fees. What sort of Doc Fee can I expect from Honda dealerships? (Our local Toyota dealerships' fees are $399 - the highest in the state).
  • mfletou1mfletou1 Member Posts: 508
I test drove an Accord EX-V6 over the weekend. Next to the window sticker, there was an added on $499 for an appearance package, and $999 for "market adjustment."

I laughed out loud. I wasn't there to shop price, so it didn't matter.

Recently purchased an Accord EX Auto 4 dr for $20,400 plus TTL in San Francisco Bay Area. I could have done better probably but I needed the car right away.
  • harrybush00harrybush00 Member Posts: 76
That seems like a decent price to me. Carsdirect has it for around that price in the bay area.

Anyone know when Honda will be running the "Honda Clearance" event?
  • tallman1tallman1 Member Posts: 1,874
Not all dealers install those items. Many do, however. When I bought my car, I found two dealers that don't.
  • jb_turnerjb_turner Member Posts: 702
dont get caught up on the market adjustment and various fees.... just worry about the OTD price. I do not care if they charge me $1000 for Destination, market adjustment or whatever... What I do care about is the OTD price.
  • wagnerpewagnerpe Member Posts: 21
I don't know the answer to your question.

Why don't you just e-mail multiple dealers first requesting a quote on an LX and then requesting a quote on a VP (open a free e-mail account if you don't want the dealer to realize you are the same person) and compare?

Most of the recent conversations on this site are for EX's, but you could do a search for the LX.
  • vagabondchefvagabondchef Member Posts: 107
Got a Quote on a 2006 Accord LX SE 4-dr. Auto for $17998.00 including destination (Plus tax, title and $129.00 Dealer Service Fee) in the Milwaukee Area.

Gee, these Accords are cheaper than Civics!!!

Mind sharing the dealership name? I am looking for the same vehicle, wont mind driving down there...
  • mfletou1mfletou1 Member Posts: 508
Yeah, if I ever end up buying, I will.

I just got a kick out of it. I mean, are any consumers really dumb enough to walk in and pay for that? I got treated well by the dealer for the test drive, but I really don't think I'd ever buy there simply because of that stunt.

So is there any chance that EXV6's end up going below $23.5 or so?
  • car_crazy1car_crazy1 Member Posts: 43
Is this quote for a 06 EXL Auto Sedan with navigation or without navigation ?

    w/o Nav.

But, now that I think about it; that quote was at the end of April BEFORE the May incentives, so her quote will probably below. I am going to check w/her this p.m.

    Hey,
I had a bad experience at OpenRoad Honda in Edison NJ.
But, they had a great Internet price on the Accord EX V6,
the price was $23,068, which seems to be $1,500 below invoice, and I think the Internet prices do not include destination fees, so you need add on that. In any case, I got into huge argument with sales guy and his manager, their offer for my trade-in was ridiculous, second was a joke, and third one was still insulting. I had to walk out. Same day I went to Acura dealer and signed up for the TSX, still got a good price - I hope - and trade-in value they gave me was much better than OpenRoad Honda. Anyhow, it would seem these cars are not in big demand, and dealers don't seem to be stacking up on them. If the dealer is not able to locate the car for me that I wanted within next week or so, I was wondering if anyone else here knows of any other NJ dealers that might be able to match the price above, as Openroad seems to be the biggest around here it might be hard to find something that good.
  • dd123dd123 Member Posts: 53
Just wondering, how much is a good price for a trade-in

is it a kbb value ?

    thanks
