"Accord EX V6 with Navi -$24905(+ tax, title and freight)"

If you can get this price for the NAVI I would do it!!! But be wary. I honestly can't imagine any dealer would do it without some alterior motive. That car will easily sell above that, but if you can get it I say go for it! You seem to be on to a great deal! Good Luck!

Anyone getting an EXV6 for invoice or below is doing quite well. In Indiana, the dealers can't keep them at the dealership. The incoming ones are even pre-sold with deposits. Also if you can get an EXV6 with 6 speed manual for MSRP, you are getting a deal. Honda is making 2500 for the whole year. Every dealer in America is getting only ONE, that's 1 car. Some dealers are getting NONE. So if a dealer is silly enough to sell a collector's edition Accord for invoice he is kidding himself. I got my EXV6 coupe for 3% over invoice and did a 42 month lease, I love it. wanted a Navi, but it was $41 a month extra on a lease. I love my car and will buy another new Honda when this lease is up.

Did you get 3.49% APR? I did only after I asked them for it. I was initially asked to fill out an application for another loan company. Then after reading this message board, I found out about the 3.49% APR. I asked the business manager, not the original one I was dealing with, if they were offering it and he said yes without any hesitation. Had to fill out a Honda application form by January 2nd to get the 3.49% but it saved me a few hundred dollars thanks to this message board!!

this sounds like a great deal like umyaya stated, but if you can afford the drive to ellicott city, i got mine for 25,100 on the road. it wasn't a v6 though, but i'd still check them out.

    Hi jkmail24:

    Good deal!

I am also shopping for a 2003 Honda Accord EX-V6, and I am living in Boston area too. Could you please give me the sale person's name and be a referral for me?

    Thanks in advance!

I'm in Indianapolis and just started looking at EX V6s. The only place I've looked so far, Penske Honda on the north side has also had very few EX V6 sedans on the lot.

Would you mind sharing where you got 3% over invoice and more details about your lease?

    Thanks

    Got a quote from Superior the same day;
it wasn't even close. See Bob Beedle @ O'Daniel.

I bought a Coupe V6, there are no sedans to be found unless you put a deposit down, these people out east SAY they are paying invoice. The dealers have coupes on the lot, but sedans are an extinct species in Indiana. I bought at D-Patrick Honda in Evansville, my salesman was Dave and he knew everything about Hondas. The best he can do is $500 off a 4 door V6 if it's on the lot. Good luck, the Accord is rumoured to be Consumer Reports car of the year.

Good Luck, yell if you need help or info.

The reason dealers can make money selling below invoice is because they seldom actually pay "invoice." First, they might tell you what the holdback is, but they don't tell you about the other manufacturer-to-dealer incentives. Manufacturers have been known to offer thousands of dollars of secret dealer incentives on slow-selling cars. Suffice it to say that if a dealer weren't making money in some fashion, he wouldn't offer to sell the car at that price.

It does seem odd that they would be offering a 2003 Accord at such a low price - could be a demo or something.

Purchased a new Ex-V6 sedan for 23,500 + Tax & Tags in Bel Air, Md. Other dealers were starting at invoice or just below. Love the car...only complaint, wish it had a more supple ride.

Emailed several Houston dealers for an EX V6 sedan. Best I got is 23,295 plus $50 for docs. This seems like an excellent deal to me based on my research. I could wait a few months to buy, but is there any chance that I would get the car for significantly less.
  • sschilfsschilf Member Posts: 63
Thats a great price! Who was the dealer in Houston? Contact name? I appreciate your help! The best price I have gotten is 23600 total in SC. Thanks

the 97 accord lx-4 auto had an invoice price including destination of approx. $16.5k. over the years, honda and the auto industry in general have either reduced, maintained or increased prices by only 1-2%.

6 years later, assuming that prices have increased 3 times by 1.5% each, the 03 accord lx-4 auto must be in the neighborhood of $17.3k.

    actual ? $18.5k.

been researching acura tl prices as well, and 2 reliable online sources quote different 03 invoices, one at $26k and the other at $28k, give or take a few hundred.

obviously the car industry has to make money, but the entire price info structure (invoice, msrp, holdback, manufacturer incentive, etc) appears to have transformed, with the unaware consumers being led to think in yesteryears' terms.

anyone have any thoughts/ideas/information/facts on this matter ?

Has anyone been able to find any good prices on '03 Accord Coupes in Southern California. I'm looking for an EX-L AUTO/NAVI coupe in white. The best quote I've gotten so far is only a couple hundred dollars under MSRP. Most dealers say they won't go below MSRP on that car.

I checked Cars Direct and their EX-L Auto coupe is still about 950 over invoice, and they don't even have the NAVI option on their site yet.

If anyone has gotten any good quotes on new coupes from Honda Dealers in Southern California/Orange County, please please let me know! Thanks.
  • rishipriship Member Posts: 65
Got the quote through russell and smith honda. Just went to russellsmith.com and requested a quote. Got an email from Nathan Chianelli. I read your earlier post. Doesn't your 23,600 include tax? My 23,295 doesn't. Also how are you only paying 300 in tax. I will pay almost $2000 here in texas. Does South Carolina or Southern California (which one) have only a 1% tax rate?

In South Carolina, you pay only $300 in tax for a new car. Dont worry, the state makes up the money with other taxes that your state doesnt charge! Go figure!

My quote was 23600 OTD for a 2003 EXV6 with mud guards and wind deflector.

Have you found a better deal? Just rememeber, you can always find deals at or under invoice. Try to find one of these deals and never pay anything over invoice - you are throwing your $ away!

I talked to the internet managers...first Craig Schomp, and later Brian Fitzpatrick. The edmunds site links you to the the free quote section, for Bernardi honda, among others. Contact them let them know you have a quote for x amount. I said my price of 23,575. Ask them if they are willing to beat or match it, and they most likely will, if you don't go overboard. You probably won't even need to reference me as the first price they quoted me was 23,700. You should be able to get my price, or possibly maybe an even better one. Just be prepared when you go, because they are expecting to make up for the low price in other areas after you get there. They tried to sell me the extended warranty for over $1500. I know for a fact they will give it to you for around $700. Maybe less. Then they pushed accessories, and even pressured me to finance when i was paying in full. But i was prepared, and they didn't get me. Now i have my new car, and I'm love it. I bought all my accessories at handa-accessories.com. Much better prices there than any dealer. I'm having them installed at a different dealer. Good luck. If you need to contact me I can be reached on aol at my edmund's screenname.

That is one great price you've got, at $20149. Invoice for '03 EX 4dr automatic is $20619, your price is $100 below invoice without $460 destination charge. Where did you get this outstanding price?
  • paulg54paulg54 Member Posts: 60
Responding to Johnjr post (1434) of the '03 Accord LX AT. I guess I just don't get it. I read in Edmunds site that the invoice price on the 2003 4cyl Accord LX is $18463. and a TMV of $19634. Johnjr gets one for $17100. How is this possible? I was beginning to think I had a good deal until I read this post. Am I doing something wrong in the way I figure the invoice price? HELP!

Just bought an 2003 EX-V6. Anybody out there (or more specifically in the Sacramento area) installed HID headlights for their 2003 Accord EX-V6 sedan? If so, is it easy to install? If you had them installed, where did you go? Also, which HID light brand did you get and how much were they?

    THanks

Yesterday, I have send the price quote request to 3 Honda dealer. The lowest one is P.S. Honda for $26050 -- EX-V6 with Navi and Auto Day & Night Mirror. Is that a good price? Can anyone give me some idea about the price of this car in New York City (Queens) area?
    Thanks very much

I am from the Long Island Area. That seems like a very good quote. I bought the ex V6 no nav with tips and trim kit for 25,900 with taxes and everything. Does yoru quote include destination.?
  • yam358yam358 Member Posts: 6
I don't think they include the destination change in the quote. I also request the quote about the EX with Leather, with Navi, with auto mirror for $24160 ( I am thinking about with V6 or no V6). Hope this can help someone to get the idea of the price of new Accord.

Re: post 1500 about the low price of 17100 for the 2003 accord lx sedan 4dr auto (invoice 18464), this deal took place in Boston, where there are several large volume honda dealers in close proximity, all competing to be top dealer in the area. In November, the car advertised was the LX 4 door manual (price...15898...about 1300 under invoice, I think). In December, it was the LX automatic, hence the 17100 price (again 1300 under invoice). This month, it seems to be the EX-L auto with Leather & Nav for $400 under invoice (23160...invoice 23585). And if it doesn't sell well, the price will probably decrease in the next few weeks.

While I don't know if there are any hidden rebates, I can say that some Boston area dealers have consistently gone down $1300 under invoice for the specific Accord models over the past few months, and even more for 2003 Civics. I guess they think they'll make it up on finance, warrenty, service or other dealer incentives.

Just like with airlines, competition = good deals!!!

Anyone know which one is more accurate? KBB or Edmund's Customized Appraisal? It seems Edmunds is always lower than the KBB. Which one is closer to the right price?

Just bought an EX V6 tonight from Russell and Smith. I think I dealt with every internet manager in Houston except Gillman. Didn't do internet at Gillman because I was already using the salesman who took me on my initial test drive. I think that you should be able to get invoice but much less may be difficult unless you possibly wait for time when dealers need extra sales at end of the month. Would recommend that you talk to David McDavid and Sterling Mccall. They both gave me invoice. I never inquired to far into S Mccall as to additional fees, but David McDavid told me no fees except $50 docs. David McDavid did however start at $500 over invoice but quickly dropped when I said that I had much lower offers. Russell and Smith is a long complicated story but I did eventually end up paying $200 under invoice. However it took a letter to the manager and a threat to go to Honda before they agreed to honor quoted price. Email risprasa@indiana.edu if you want more info on russel and smith deal. Your car is tough to find however so that may change things a bit.

    Hi all,

Ive been lurking these boards now for over 1 year. I'm currently getting financing through peoplefirst.com (just waiting for the check to come in the mail.) I went to some major Honda dealers in the Queens NY area and one dealer says he'll give me a v6 ex for 23,000. no dio unless i order them. is this a good deal or could a bargin a bit since I have a blank check. Thanks for your help

Also is there a section on want to do to your car before you trade it in. Im also trying to trade my 93 civic ex coupe with 68k miles. I didnt tell the salesman that I had a car to trade in yet.

I installed PIAA Extreme White Plus bulbs in my 2003 EXV6 Coupe and it looks great, like HID, actual HID will run you $1200-2000 plus installation, not really worth it. The bulbs cost me $55 plus tax and I installed them myself in my garage one night, you do need to pull the fender liner away to put them in.

Let me know if you have any more questions on the HID lights, I have done a whole day worth of research on them for my car.
  • sschilfsschilf Member Posts: 63
Where can you actually get the complete HID unit? Any good web sites? Or is it OEM maybe in Europe or Japan?

    Thanks

I really wanted brighter lights on the newer accord untill I saw one coming at me. The current lights are bright enough that I couldn't see the signal light of the car ( car was turning ). Honda put the signal light in a bad place or didn't make it bright enough. So I think I'll stay with the originals for safety sake (let the oncoming cars see my signal as much as possible). maybe I'll add fogs instead.
  • yam358yam358 Member Posts: 6
I just call the dealer and they said that the 26,050 is included Destination charge for EX-V6 w/ Navi and Auto Day/Night Mirror. It seems like $300 - $400 over the invoice. IS that a good price?
  • skymskym Member Posts: 11
"you do need to pull the fender liner away to put them in." Rainbow24: is this a one-person job that someone without any auto experience could do? This will reveal my level of inexperience, but where is the fender liner and what tools would one need to pull it away? How long did it take you to replace the bulbs?

    Thanks

Riship, thanks for ur help. I'm now being quoted 17995 + ttl = 19340 OTD from a couople of the houston dealerships. that's roughly 600 below invoice. Asked other dealers I've contacted to match and they say they can't touch it.

Only problem is no one seems to have the lx with side airbags. The only dealership with in stock is asking 18860 +ttl.

Let me know if anyone is interested in specifics.

I don't know what to tell you about the price of $17,100 for the 4 Cyl. Accord LX AT I bought New Year's Day other than the following: A Boston area dealer was advertising the same vehicle at $3003 off the MSRP or $20,460 - $3003 = $17,457. I used that add as leverage to get the price of $17,100. To tell you the truth I think I could have done even better that day if I wanted to be completely heartless. I picked out the vehicle I wanted. There were 6 in my choice of color. This was no Demo or damaged vehicle. It was BRAND NEW and unblemished. I just bought at the right place at the right time. I've had the car for over a week now and am very pleased with the ride, quality and fit and finish. I also own a 2002 VW Passat V6 Man. 5 Speed. The Honda is almost as much fun to drive.
If I were you, I would visit the large Boston area Honda dealership's web sites, access their advertised weekly specials and see if it might be worth a trip to the area.

I have the new Accord and have checked the blinkers with lights on (front and back). I've also seen other 03 Accords driving around with blinkers on and I don't have any trouble seeing them. Go figure ....

Yes, I would call that a good (fair) price.

The headlights in our Accord are pretty bright but I've been infront of it quite a bit and whenever I look back the signal is always visible. Maybe the Accord you saw had it's brigts on. But fog lights do add some extra light.

I just purchased a 03' Accord V6 from a dealer in Milwaukee for $23188, about $600 under invoice. It was a very pleasant transaction, I had prices from two other dealers but wanted to buy from the sales rep I was dealing with at Hobbs. He matched the price within 2 minutes and the deal was done. I was pleasantly surprised at the price and the ease of the transaction. Silver with black leather, cant wait to pick it up later today!!
