I got an Odyssey EX-L RES for $35,000 out the door. I added all weather floor mats, cargo protector, cargo folding mat, ambient floorwell lighting, tent, first aid kit, middle and rear seat covers for and extra $985 (dealers cost) after purchase. I bought mine in Kalamazoo Michigan. I shopped on-line and they beat everyone elses price and got us 2.3% financing too! Gotta love the internet! Free market at work!

I also live in PA and I got a quote from Main Line Honda for 11 Accord 4 doors V6 EX-L with Navi for $27,995+TTL.

Is is a good price anyone?

    Thanks for your help
  • jdcmz1jdcmz1 Member Posts: 1
    njguy63,

From this dealership that is a good quote, I was quoted $28,257 on the same vehicle (2011 EX-L Sedan V6 w/ Nav). I also got a quote from Piazza of Drexel Hill on the same vehicle for $27,255. I don't know how far you are from West Chester, but you could also try Scott Honda.

    Hello,

I purchased a Honda Accord LX-P for 20,900 Out-Of-The-Door yesterday at Autopark Honda, Cary NC.. It was a new car purchase. Base price was marked 19,930. Did I pay more ? TTL was 970 Dollars.

    Thanks for your insight
  • 1sebringnow1sebringnow Member Posts: 136
I suggest that you did fine. But I would also add that in the future, you should at least come into a blog like this one and ask the question, "what are the 2011 LX-P's going for". That way you can gauge what type of offers your are getting against some actual prices paid - and not have to ask that question in the first place. The only time it would make a difference is if you could go back to the dealer and tell them they overcharged and expect to get funds back. I have never heard of that situation happening.

Please enjoy the ride, it is a nice one, congratulations!

    Hello jdcmz1,

I just got a quote from Scott Honda of West Chester and their quote is $29,116 so it appears to me that your quote from Piazza of Drexel Hill is the lowest.

I am off this Friday so I am planning to buy that car. Please share me the contact person that you got it from.

    Thanks very much

Just bought a Honda today. Base price was $27,744. They threw in 36,000 miles, of free maint, because I brought in an expired coupon- (They hassled me, no end! I finally won!)

They did not pay the first $500. for me. Brought in a coupon, ($500) from another dealer out of state, but they used an excuse. Be leave me, they have plenty of craziness, kvetching, and excuse's. Their New Car Dealers....Duh!

It has been mentioned before several times, please just post the selling price of the car including the destination charges. Dont include the sales tax or out the door price as each State has different Sales tax.
It would make very easy for everybody to determine the negotiating price.
    Thankyou.

Just a follow up to our V6 Accord purchase:

I've found several really nasty threads regarding excessive oil consumption with this engine and Honda's struggle to deal with it. Our VCM has 650 miles on it now and hasn't burned one drop of oil. It was delivered with the oil level exactly at the max fill line and it hasn't budged. I saw a press release on the 2011s where it was stated by Honda that they had changed one of the piston rings in all engines and incorporated moly impregnation into the piston skirts. Maybe this solved the issue? I do note that my dipstick has a double seal--you need to consciously keep pushing it in to get a true reading.

It's also been written before that some of us want to see all the figures on a deal. I suggest that you only read the parts that interest you in the future. No need to fix what ain't broke! Every few years folks like you come in to these forums and want to change certain things, whatever "they" don't seem to like. Again, just read what you like and skip over the things you don't...a lot of us who have been here for years are happy with the way things are! :)

It looks like a good deal to me. I bought 2010 LX-P during October. I paid 21k total in TX. It is like 19500 + ttl. That is the best i have got in DFW area during that time. It also got some add ons.
  • alponjalponj Member Posts: 3
Folks, is nobody purchasing on the east coast? Please share your experiences. What was your OTD price. Breaking the price by state taxes, destination fee, other doc fees is appreciated.

I owned a 08 Honda Accord Sedan Ex-L V6 with VCM for over 3 years (I bought it new in 2/08) and there was no such thing happened to my car. I had a little over 24K miles on it but just traded in last week to get a better 11 Honda Accord Sedan Ex-L V6 with Navi for $27,255+TTL just because Honda Financial has a very sweet deals that I can't resit.

I am turning in my leased 2008 Accord EX-L 4 cylinder (no Nav) for a 2011 Accord EX-L 4 cylinder (no-Nav). The dealer is going to pay my last month's lease payment (as my car is not due until June) and also my 1st month's lease payment for the new Accord. The new 36 month lease with 12K miles/year he is offering me is $325/month and that includes all fees and taxes (6.75%) with $0 down and no out-of-pocket money. Does this sound like a good deal?
    Thanks.

Hi. I am looking to get the EXL next month and this forum has been quite helpful. What was the starting price which the dealer quoted ?

My dealer is saying $25371 + ttl

I am not sure how I can break him down to around 23K an almost $2400 difference from what he is at now.
  • jaymkjaymk Member Posts: 86
Try at the end of the month, give him an offer, Your best price You would like to pay and leave him You phone no.
Most likely if they need to make the sale, they will give You a call.
    Good Luck!
  • 1sebringnow1sebringnow Member Posts: 136
Oursiman in MD had email advertisements for $21,995 not including destination $750 and $100 processing fee for and EX-L. Use Amexzag.com and try a few different ZIPCODEs. 20874 for MD and find Pohenkos in Virginia. You'll save a ton of money buying in the greater MD/VA area.

    Good luck

Should be easy for you to get the price you want. The invoice price of a 2011 Accord EX-L Automatic Sedan is $25,544 including destination. When I bought mine 10 days ago there were $1500 in incentives bringing the price to $24,044. See Edmunds here http://www.edmunds.com/honda/accord/2011/options.html?trim=ex-l&sub=sedan&style=- 101356495 .
They threw in $500 worth of accessories (they should at least give you winter floor mats). Remember they have at least another $600 in profit in holdback before any dealer conveyance fee profit so they are making money still.
I think you can pay Consumer Reports for a list of incentives currently available. Its possible the incentives I received are no longer available due to the Japan situation. If so, wait for a while as they will come around again.

I'm buying an Accord EX-L 4cyl also. I am paying $23,589 plus ttl. This is in the Central Ohio area. I used AOL cars and got an offer for -1755 off invoice and the dealer I'm buying from beat that price by $200. I think I got a good deal.

    Hi,
I just bought a Honda Accord sedan EX-L 4cyl on Ourisman Laurel HONDA in Maryland for $22067, Out of Door price inlcuding tax, tag and freight is $24381, dealer gave me : free floormat, wheel lock, splash guard, paintstrip and trunk tray for free. Plus, Honda pay my first month payment for free (if you own another Honda car). I think I got very good deal here.
  • jaymkjaymk Member Posts: 86
    Wow! What a deal!
    Congratulations on Your new car.
How did You negotiate that price?
    Thankyou.
  • mjafarymjafary Member Posts: 3
Was it a trade-in? You seem to have gotten the lowest price on this car that I have seen so far....

That is a great deal on 2011 EX-L. Similar to the price i was given for 2010 when they are doing sale. Though 2011 cars were appearing on the lot at that time, salesman never tried to sell them. They kept on pushing 2010 vehicles with the presumption of low price. But with better bargain, one could have got 2011 for the same 2010 sale price.

What is a good out-the-door (OTD) price range in New York State for a:
2011 honda accord lx sedan auto grey?

truecar.com gives me 19,600 - 20,900 but the 3 dealerships it gives me are far away. Tax here is 9.75, is it worth going to another state?

I was recently in negotiations for a 2008 civic lx (12k miles, excellent condition) for 15,700 OTD (but not including the finance charge over the 4 year loan), but at the last second decided not to. Was that a good deal? I talked myself out of it based on higher interest rate and lesser warranty period when compared to a new car.
  • rustumrustum Member Posts: 100
How reliable are these invoice prices given by edmunds. I ended up bargaining based on this invoice price when i was buying 2010 Accord. Paid $1000 less than invoice and I still think, i paid more for the car. 2011 cars also started appearing on the lots. Salesman always discouraged me to consider them by stating that they cost $2000 more.
They were so many things to bargain i.e., car price, dealer options added, extended warranty and TTL. They try to jack up the price some where always. Even for the internet prices, they try to bargain so much for dealer add ons.
  • jaymkjaymk Member Posts: 86
Can You tell us the name of the sales person or the manager that offered You that price? I am hoping to find a good deal on the EXL soon.
    Thankyou.
  • md2xmd2x Member Posts: 13
No, I dont have any car to trade in, I forget to mention Ourisman Laurel Honda also preprogram my 2007 Honda CRV EX key for free (they said it costs them around $200) and .9% interest rate From Honda.
