Raxy

Thanks in Advance !!!
Feel good about the deal though. Substantially under the "True Market Value" price.
Can you please post on which dealership you got both the deals.
May be something is near to where I am looking for the car.
Thank you.
Raxy.
I am planning to buy a accord V6 can some one help me out on the pricing, that what could be a good price to negotiate with the dealer.
Thanks
Satish
Thanks!
Also Texas Honda dealers add on protection pkg. for another $900 or more on all their cars. Also, AMEX Car Buying Service which guarantees all incentives will passed on doesn't work in Texas since Texas New Car Dealers Assoc. here forbids it-you have to go to them to get a quote which can be a headache!
I am told that inventory is low and that may add to higher prices (coupe is less) and with Texas TTL it should ring up to 24,750 or so, if that pkg. is not priced in. It's true cost to dealer is about less tha $250 or so!
Try Honda Cars of McKinney, it's 30 miles north of Dallas on I-75 and the internet sales manager's first name is same as our Governor's and has been easier to deal with, and charges only $129 for document fees!
But my wife got 2011 Honda Accord Crossover, 4k less than MSRP
she used a negotiation service www.theautoproxy.com they negotiated with every dealership than she picked the best price
My wife and I are down to 1 car, since mine was stolen. I've gone to about 6 dealers and $28,500 out the door is the best they're willing to do. Further research suggests that right now is a terrible time to buy a car, both new and preowned. What would you guys do?
Thanks guys!
I am vacillating between 3 cars and all have pros and cons. I love Sonata and for 25k you can get Ltd. Turbo with great MPG or go for 3.5 Altima which has better than Accord's MPG. CR magazine has dropped Accord from "Above Average" to "Average. It's still a good car with solid resale!
In Fall, Camry and Altima will go thru model changes so you should be able to get a great deal on either if it's on your list!
1. Go to this dealer.
http://jeffwylercolerainhonda.net/
2. Look for an Honda V6 EXL that is in stock and click on the "request info" and send them your info. They only listed 2 in stock but they actually have about 15 V6 EXL The ones with MSRP of $30180.
3. Wait for their reply. If everything goes according to plan, I got the same price for the last 2 weeks. $24,XXX ish.
4. Go buy one from them or if they don't have the Accord you want go to next step.
5. Click here. Sometimes you're lucky and get the $250 extra off coupon. Bring your email.

That's right 167 Accords in stock. Visually confirmed yesterday and purchased one so now they got 166.
It's that easy.
There is no reason if people are not satisfied that they can get up and walk out of any negotiation - because they have the power to do so. Since I did my negotiations over the internet - when I reached the dealership, I was there for only 40 minutes - checking over the car, signing paperwork, etc. It was without a doubt the best shopping experience I ever had. Now if I were dealing with a floor salesman - maybe it would have been different, but the Internet Manager at OURISMAN was straight up honest with me at all times. My point here is that never take a dealership off the table when it comes to your cash. $400 bucks is just that - and on my deal in an apples to apples comparison, they beat Criswell and Sport by $400 bucks - would have been $500 if they didn't have added the appearance package on the car - it does look nice by the way......
You will save though buying in the MD/VA area - in my case $1,500 over prices in CT /NY and $800 over prices in MA.
Yesterday, I was at my Honda dealer for servicing and his lot is empty and last year in May-June it was overflowing with cars and were willing to make good deals.
Wait till Fall and with 2 major brand going thru model change and 2012 arriving, one should be able to get a good deal on most of well estbalished brand names: Accord, Altima, Camry, Sonata and Fusion.
I started my search in August of 2010, looking to get in on a deal on the outgoing model year, and all I have been able to come up is Accord LX manual. I test drove it, and liked it, but I really like the EX since it has more goodies, and more powerful engine.
No dealer in my area would get one unless I signed the buyers order, and put a deposit down. How do I know I will like the vehicle without even a test drive?
So, does anyone know of a dealer that has a new 2010 or 2011 Accord EX with a manual transmission?
I realize that Accord is up for redesign next year, as a 2013 model, so, perhaps I shold wait and see if I can double dip into the savings on the outgoing model....
Last year, on my visit to Ourisman they tried to add $800 for a package of "goodies" (door guards, paint protection, scotch guard, wheel locks, etc). I am sure a savy customer can battle with Ourisman over this add-on. My question is why bother as there are many other local dealers who won't try this tactic. Sadly, I am quite sure many unsuspecting folks actually pay Ourisman an inflated amount for the Ourisman "goody" package.
The question which must be answered is why should we, as consumers, purchase a vehicle from dealers like Ourisman. Such purchases simply perpetuate the practice of shady sales techniques. We customers should reward those dealerships who do not practice such techniques.
Here is another Ourisman trick they tried on me. I decided to extracate myself from Ourisman's unpleasent sales facility (another story) by telling them they did not have the vehicle I was looking for in black. They quickly told me they could have a black vehicle on on the lot that afternoon. Of course, they told me, the black vehicle would cost an extra $1,000. Ourisman was quite speechless when I asked them to explain why I would pay them $1,000 for a black vehicle when I could go 10 miles down the road to another dealer.
In my mind, there are simply too many reasons to avoid dealers like Ourisman. There many other dealers in the area where the sales practices are not quite as shady. There are many components to any sales deal (price, trade-in value, financing, etc.). I have been purchasing Honda vehicles in the DC area for many years. I have never encountered an instance where one or more of the area's reputable dealers (Criswell, Hersons, Sport, O'Donnell) would not easily beat any deal presented by Ourisman. As a bonus, I always feel good knowing I have rewarded a reputable dealership with my business.
I read all of those "negative comments" about OURISMAN - but in the end, they really were cheaper and there was no flim flam - I used the internet sales manager not a floor salesman - and the experience was quite excellent.
Most importantly, I hope you are enjoying your new Honda - I know I am....
I had been considering a 2012 Sonata GLS with popular package (can get for $21,000 probably), but think I've got a good price on the Accord. I'm jealous of the Sonata's better MPG (24/35 vs. the Accord's 23/34 ... though Consumer Reports pegs the real life difference as 3 mpg instead).
What do you think? This is in the San Francisco Bay Area (in the East Bay).
The total "OTD" price is $23,317.67 (tax here is 8.375%, + docs fee is $55, + title, + license).
Bel Air Car Guy
They offered me 15k for mine, and 21k for the new.
I did'nt think that was a Good deal at all.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Every transaction is a learning experience. You have a good deal, just think in another 10 years or how ever many you are going to buy new, you'll get an even better one.
Enjoy that new Honda! I love my 2011 SE Accord - the car drives better than my 2006 EX Acoord gas mileage is finally approaching 34 MPG on the highway.
Bel Air Car Guy
Thanks!
I'll check it out. I drove the LX and the manual is indeed smooth, I think it is smoother than the manual I have in the CR-V. Although, the internals are all the same, except for the PTO for the AWD in the CR-V.
All these transmissions have the 6th gear spacer and can be easily converted to a 6 spd manual with as little as $200 in parts.
There is a bunch of Elements and CR-V's running around with 6 spd manuals.
They offered me 15k for mine, and 21k for the new.
I did'nt think that was a Good deal at all.
Anyone have any thoughts
Isn't it essentialy the same car? Why would you want to waste $$$$ to get the same.
At least wait until 2013 model comes out next year. Otherwise, drive your low mileage Accord and enjoy it.
The total OTD price I paid was $ 22467 which includes 8% IL Cook county tax, new plates, documentation fee and mudguards for $150.
There was $750 rebate to the dealers going on and I get 0.9% financing for 60 months.
I bought it from MotorWerks in Barrington IL.
Out of the door price $26,500 (incl. tax+title+tag+processing).
Sunday I was quoted $28,400 (before taxes) on a EX-L 3.5L V6 6-speed Manual w/Navigation. I ended up going with an Acura TSX instead, but it was a great deal on the Accord nonetheless -- I just liked the Acura a little better even though it was more expensive.
Because the 2012 Accords will be arriving soon, you should be able to get them down very close to their invoice price ($25,519), especially if you are taking delivery of something they have on their lot. Plus Honda is offering some crazy good rates this month on leasing (.00049) and buying (0.9% or 1.9% depending on the term).
PostyTSX
I emailed the same dealership today, looking for the same model with $30,180 MSRP, they won't budge below $26,252 before destination fees and TTL, with a $29,061 OTD price.
Thanks,
Daniel
But yeah, I am in no hurry, having a car with cold AC, lowish miles (for a Honda - 87k miles) and in great condition.
