    Thanks mate. I welcome anyone’s perspective; i had addressed my post to Michael and Kyfdx out of familiarity since they had helped me a lot when we leased our last 2 cars and helped me buy my Audi with a lot of good advice and guidance.

    Seems like I need to do some more digging around to come up with pointed questions for specific make/models/trims.

    I'd go hybid or PHEV. Even though it's a long drive, one that would exhaust the PHEV battery, they also often have more HP than the corresponding hybrid, just like your RX450h compared to the RX350h. So in your situation I'd look at the NX450h, sure meets your desire for high reliability.
