36mo, 12k mi/yr lease
$0 down
$230/mo
Thanks for any insight...
That $199 deal is w/ ~2500 drive off, while the $230 is w/ ~1000 drive off, which is a difference of only a few hundred in the end, but I don't like to put anything down on a lease.
Here is my finds about Toyota Camry LE. This model sells very quickly....In Atlanta...seems like Camry LE Auto runs about $19000 including the documentation fee($400-$600) plus tax and registration fee...they may have just little bit room for negotiation....I believe a couple of hundred dollars....so, the OTD price would come about $20200 or little bit more......yes, it depends on where you live....
Considering $19000 is the good price for Camry LE, Camry LE with Luxcury Package has costed me another $1600 for leather seats, dash trim, allow wheels...
One thing to note...i am not sure what you think....IMO...Edmunds.com's TMV is not calculated based on the stats of what people really pay...Seems like Edmunds.com know the actual price of vehicles and run some formula to get a reasonable profit figure...Having said that, you should really visit as many dealers as possible to get the best price.....Some dealers don't even negotiate with you.....and some just drops the price big time....
Good luck!!!!
I like my camry...
I live in Naperville, and am interested in hybrid Camry. What was the low financing debit card deal, and how do you get it? What was the rate? How many years?
Thanks!
Will you please post the dealership name in atlanta.
I'm looking around 19,500 on-the road. (Tax+Doc+Title)
Here is a tip when you shop for Toyotas....In my opinion...Toyota prices are much more easier to work with than Hondas....Honda prices are very difficult to figure out.. And.I never saw any special prices posted on Honda websites...But for Toyota, simply go to any dealership website in the area and look for 'Hot on the Lot" pages....Get the price for the vehicle you want to purchse...or, get the price for a similar vehicle...and you start your negotiation from that price....Tell your salesman that the price is the average price people pay....In my past experience. when I shoped for Sienna back in April......they accepted that price without any problem....of course, I went to a large volume dealer..when I asked for more discount, .they came down about $100 or $200...but no more....So, I guess that "Hot on the lot" prices are very good prices.some salesman say that Hot on the Lot vehicles are demo vehicles...don't believe that kind of lies........Well....this is my opinions....If you are not good at negotiation..like me...this may be a good strategy....
If you have a trade-in, don't bring your car to your dealership...If you bring your car to the dealership for trade in, that means that you want to help dealers... I don't think it is bad...you are helping local businesses...nothing wrong with it...but don't complain about it...In Atlanta area, first bring your to CarMax and get them appraise your car....I know that they also want to make money out of your car...but their price seems to be a lot higher than you can get from dealerships.....For example, the best price I could get for my 2005 Mazda MPV from all different dealerships...was $7500. as you know...they say that they don't make any money.....out of trade ins....blah blah....but CarMax offered $10000 for the Mazda.....When I negotiated my trade in, I asked the dealer to match the price....first, they declined...but when I tried to walk out....they finally matched the trade in price... Note that it is better to trade in your car through a dealer because there is a tax benefit....if no dealer matches that price, sell it to CarMax.
Every situation varies....the two tips I listed above may help a person like me who is not good at negotiation.....
Hope it helps....Good luck...
The total OTD price I paid was $22100. Please let me know if this is a good price.
I bought this from a dealer in Queens NYC
Performance is good, acceleration good, not fast, but not slow. But, it is a 4 cylinder. I thought the torque # was a little better than some other makes, you can look this up. HP does not mean much without torque. I would definitely recommend. Manuals are hard to find, but you can get one if you want one.
The biggest complaint was some hesitation on acceleration, the same complaint that you see with the automatics, but that was easily fixed for free with a very quick trip to the dealer. They just reprogram the ECU, and it only takes 25 minutes. Makes a huge difference, car runs perfect now.
My other minor complaint - the cupholders with the manual transmission. The front one is useless, because if you are in 2, 4, or reverse, you can't have a bottle in it. So you really only have one cupholder if you are not on the highway cruising in 5th.
Can anyone recommend someone they have worked with out here.? Being a woman, I find dealerships really look to take advantage! Thanks for any advice.
Gerri

Also, what should I look to be included on any new Camry I might purchase, for example: pinstriping, splash guards, door guards, floor mats?
Great forum! Any thoughts are appreciated!!
What's the price I can expect ? :confuse:
I love the V6 and am glad I chose it over the 4cyl.

I think I got a pretty good deal. Dealer generally did pricing based on $1350 below invoice then minus the $1000 rebate. Dealers seemed to be working to get deals in August.
I find two dealers were very close and the most aggressive (Sandy Springs and Cherokee). the others were about $500 or more higher.
Hope that helps some one. I recognize you can't just take from this forum, but also need to give back
Also, trying getting an internet quote from Cherokee Sandy Springs. They had good pricing and would put it in an email Use that for leverage. They gave me an out the door price of $20020 ( sales tax 7%)
Good luck

I decided not to take the deal because I think it was too much. Does anyone know a dealer around Indiana that would give me better price, and for how much?
