looking for 2009 camry LE, 4 cyl in austin, texas. Could anyone share dealership info around this area? or san antonio?
  • solarbeatsolarbeat Member Posts: 6
How does this deal sound, for a Camry LE 4cyl auto, no additional options:

    36mo, 12k mi/yr lease
    $0 down
    $230/mo

    Thanks for any insight... :)
  • kiawahkiawah Member Posts: 3,666
I don't know if they'll do it, but for the minimum mileage you put on vehicles (5 miles / day) you should see if you can get a lower total mileage lease. This assumes of course that you really do want to lease a new vehicle as opposed to fixing your old. You're paying for 12K miles a year, and will drive what....2 or 3K per year? I believe I've seen ads for 199, for a 12K yr lease...but your location may vary.
  • solarbeatsolarbeat Member Posts: 6
Still haven't really decided whether to fix or just get the new camry. She doesn't really drive all that much, (commute really is 5mi/day), but there are occasional weekends jaunts, and there's always the possibility of changing jobs and such. Neither of us drive much, as I only have 2400mi after 5mos in my new car. Maybe 10k will do... Thanks!

That $199 deal is w/ ~2500 drive off, while the $230 is w/ ~1000 drive off, which is a difference of only a few hundred in the end, but I don't like to put anything down on a lease.

I got Camry LE with Luxury Package for $20600 plus doc fee + TLL. The luxury package for MSRP $2900 includes.... Alloy wheel, leather faced seats with liquicel, dark wood dash trim.... OTD came out $22400.... The dealer's Internet deparment offered the price and there was no room for negotiation...The guy said that the price changes all the time....so, the price could be only for today...I don't know....

Here is my finds about Toyota Camry LE. This model sells very quickly....In Atlanta...seems like Camry LE Auto runs about $19000 including the documentation fee($400-$600) plus tax and registration fee...they may have just little bit room for negotiation....I believe a couple of hundred dollars....so, the OTD price would come about $20200 or little bit more......yes, it depends on where you live....

Considering $19000 is the good price for Camry LE, Camry LE with Luxcury Package has costed me another $1600 for leather seats, dash trim, allow wheels...

One thing to note...i am not sure what you think....IMO...Edmunds.com's TMV is not calculated based on the stats of what people really pay...Seems like Edmunds.com know the actual price of vehicles and run some formula to get a reasonable profit figure...Having said that, you should really visit as many dealers as possible to get the best price.....Some dealers don't even negotiate with you.....and some just drops the price big time....

    Good luck!!!!

    I like my camry...

    Hi...

I live in Naperville, and am interested in hybrid Camry. What was the low financing debit card deal, and how do you get it? What was the rate? How many years?

    Thanks!

I live in Atlanta. Can I ask the name of the dealership and the salesperson you worked with.
  • acdiiacdii Member Posts: 753
It was for 6.3% for 60 months through Chase. Chase sent me a debit card with a $1000 Balance about a month later. The only other finance available was through Toyota credit at 5.9%, the difference between the two over 60 months came to $186, so I went with Chase. I sent the offer to them via their website, and had an answer with an hour. This was the second Hybrid I got from them, they are very good and dont pull BS like others I have dealt with.

    Hi,

Will you please post the dealership name in atlanta.

Is anyone got good deal in CAMRY LE (4cyl) ?
    I'm looking around 19,500 on-the road. (Tax+Doc+Title)
  • iam4bravesiam4braves Member Posts: 2
That was a pretty good deal... Thanks for the info. Did you have many options on your hybrid? Did you have to wait for a delayed delivery on your hybrid at Elgin Toyota?
  • glee314glee314 Member Posts: 6
Okay...I don't want to put the actual name of the dealership to be fair with other dealerships...here is a hint....it is located in Canton, GA. There is only one guy who does the Internet sales at the dealership.....Request a quote from him via email....He does not play a game...he honors his quote, a very straightforward guy... but he does not accept any negotiation...so, when you go there, make sure that the price is the best you can get....because it is a long drive....

Here is a tip when you shop for Toyotas....In my opinion...Toyota prices are much more easier to work with than Hondas....Honda prices are very difficult to figure out.. And.I never saw any special prices posted on Honda websites...But for Toyota, simply go to any dealership website in the area and look for 'Hot on the Lot" pages....Get the price for the vehicle you want to purchse...or, get the price for a similar vehicle...and you start your negotiation from that price....Tell your salesman that the price is the average price people pay....In my past experience. when I shoped for Sienna back in April......they accepted that price without any problem....of course, I went to a large volume dealer..when I asked for more discount, .they came down about $100 or $200...but no more....So, I guess that "Hot on the lot" prices are very good prices.some salesman say that Hot on the Lot vehicles are demo vehicles...don't believe that kind of lies........Well....this is my opinions....If you are not good at negotiation..like me...this may be a good strategy....

If you have a trade-in, don't bring your car to your dealership...If you bring your car to the dealership for trade in, that means that you want to help dealers... I don't think it is bad...you are helping local businesses...nothing wrong with it...but don't complain about it...In Atlanta area, first bring your to CarMax and get them appraise your car....I know that they also want to make money out of your car...but their price seems to be a lot higher than you can get from dealerships.....For example, the best price I could get for my 2005 Mazda MPV from all different dealerships...was $7500. as you know...they say that they don't make any money.....out of trade ins....blah blah....but CarMax offered $10000 for the Mazda.....When I negotiated my trade in, I asked the dealer to match the price....first, they declined...but when I tried to walk out....they finally matched the trade in price... Note that it is better to trade in your car through a dealer because there is a tax benefit....if no dealer matches that price, sell it to CarMax.

Every situation varies....the two tips I listed above may help a person like me who is not good at negotiation.....

    Hope it helps....Good luck...

Where can you get such a deal? 17400 for a Camry?I am also interested for a 5 speed Camry with power windows/locks/mirrors. Nothing fancy. Since you bought one, how does it perform on the road? Is it very slow with only 158 hp. I test drove Mazda 3i, Astra, focus and they are very slow since they lack low end torque. Curious about the Camry.
  • mcdawggmcdawgg Member Posts: 1,722
17,400 for a CE manual transmission Camry - it is the "loss leader", and in many areas, it is the car they advertise in the newspaper to "get you in". Problem is, most people say no way to the stick shift (for some reason?!), and decide that they want more options, etc. so they buy a different, more expensive one. I have seen them advertised for this price recently. I have to say, when I bought mine, I paid 18,000, but that was over 18 months ago, when the Camry was still a relatively new model. Still, a good deal!

Performance is good, acceleration good, not fast, but not slow. But, it is a 4 cylinder. I thought the torque # was a little better than some other makes, you can look this up. HP does not mean much without torque. I would definitely recommend. Manuals are hard to find, but you can get one if you want one.

The biggest complaint was some hesitation on acceleration, the same complaint that you see with the automatics, but that was easily fixed for free with a very quick trip to the dealer. They just reprogram the ECU, and it only takes 25 minutes. Makes a huge difference, car runs perfect now.

My other minor complaint - the cupholders with the manual transmission. The front one is useless, because if you are in 2, 4, or reverse, you can't have a bottle in it. So you really only have one cupholder if you are not on the highway cruising in 5th.

I was quoted a price of $18,948 (plus TTL)... for a basic LE 4cy auto, with body molding... Is this a good price? and shouldnt I ask for the $500.00 rebate offered, off this price?
Can anyone recommend someone they have worked with out here.? Being a woman, I find dealerships really look to take advantage! Thanks for any advice.

I currently have a quote for $21,400 before rebate. This seems fair, but am being told that it will have to be ordered. Is this something to be concerned about?

Upgrade Package -- includes 16-in. 8-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with P215/60R16 tires, JBL® AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with satellite radio capability [9], MP3/WMA playback capability, auxiliary audio jack, hands-free phone capability via Bluetooth® [3] wireless technology, eight speakers in six locations and FM diversity reception, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass and HomeLink® [8] universal transceiver.

Basically, they have to order the LE with this package.

Also, what should I look to be included on any new Camry I might purchase, for example: pinstriping, splash guards, door guards, floor mats?

Great forum! Any thoughts are appreciated!!

IT was an in stock TCH, Ironic though, it is the same color as the Prius we got from there. It came with a sunroof, the UP package (which isnt on the build your own site anymore), JBL Sat ready radio( I installed XM myself and saved $400), Blue Tooth for the phone, floor mats, cargo net, trunk mat, and heated mirrors. If they have one in stock through their website, send them a quote request asking if they can meet your price.

I live in New York, what is a good price for Camary LE V6. The dealer gave me $22,700 just for the car, is this good price? I appreciate your comments.
  • camrytpacamrytpa Member Posts: 8
Hello hhe61 - in Tampa I paid 22,500 (LE V6) out the door with mats, cargo net and Toyoguard. I was against Toyoguard but most of the cars in FL have it. It was the same quote I got from them a month prior without it and without the car on the lot so I went with it or else it would have had to be ordered. Most dealers had 4cyl, or not the color I wanted, so it came from a dealer in South FL.

I love the V6 and am glad I chose it over the 4cyl.

I only can give you the the dealer was Central Florida toyota. You can PM me to give you the name of the person (the forum does not want people's name). I saw the ad at Orlando Sentinel on Sunday, but you have to make sure the car in the ad is in stock.

I purchased a Camry LE v6 yesterday in the Atlanta Market:

2009 Camry LE V6 (mats, toyoguard)-paid $21102 (with doc fee w/o sales tax). $22,670 out the door

Lowest offer on a 2009 Camry 4 cylinder (same options)- $18395 (w/ doc fee w/o sales tax), $19779 out the dor

I think I got a pretty good deal. Dealer generally did pricing based on $1350 below invoice then minus the $1000 rebate. Dealers seemed to be working to get deals in August.

I find two dealers were very close and the most aggressive (Sandy Springs and Cherokee). the others were about $500 or more higher.

Hope that helps some one. I recognize you can't just take from this forum, but also need to give back
  • bcaptain78bcaptain78 Member Posts: 10
Which dealer in Atlanta did you purchase the car from? I'm looking to purchase 2009 Camry LE with Toyoguard in the Atlanta area. $ 19779 is a very good price . :surprise:
  • rsb4rsb4 Member Posts: 5
Sandy Springs Toyota. It took a little work to get down to the price.
  • bcaptain78bcaptain78 Member Posts: 10
Thank you rsb4! I spoke to Toni from Sandy Springs Toyota earlier today and their price was over 20K for Camry LE 4cyl OTD(6.5%tax, tag transfer). Her first gave me a price of under 20K but when I called him back he said that his boss was unable to go under 20K. I don't trust him!
  • rsb4rsb4 Member Posts: 5
It took a few while for them to soften their price. I would think with the end of month tomorrow they would be anxious to close deal. They told me they were at their limit on the price. I would say sorry not get enough and they called back with better pricing. I have purchased two cars from them and found them to be fairly decent, but it does take a little work.

Also, trying getting an internet quote from Cherokee Sandy Springs. They had good pricing and would put it in an email Use that for leverage. They gave me an out the door price of $20020 ( sales tax 7%)

    Good luck

I was looking for a standard 2009 camry LE at Bob Rohrman Lafayette, IN. They gave me price of $22,500 OTD after tax etc., was it a good deal?
I decided not to take the deal because I think it was too much. Does anyone know a dealer around Indiana that would give me better price, and for how much?
    thanks for helping!

if indiana tax rate is 20%, then good deal-- if tax rate is 3%, not so good.

    thanks

Depending on your geographic location, yes, pretty good. If you are out in CA, you could do better.

Last week, I had a price quote from a dealership for 2009 Camry CE Auto 4-cylinder w/ keyless entry for $18700.00 OTD. But when I went over there to complete the deal, the sales manager did not honor the price and asked me to pay $19980.00. I was very upset and walked out.

I got a internet quote from another dealership yesterday for 2009 Camry LE 4-cylinder for $20400.00 OTD. Is it a good deal? If they changed their mind, what should I do? I hate to shop a car and i have to spend at least an hour at a dealership each time. Please advise and suggest. Many thanks.

Is that a Camry manual or automatic? I've been looking for the same Camry LE 4cyl with the automatic and the best offer I've gotten is $19,850 out the door, pre-tax.

Any good recommended dealers in Orlando area?

Does any one know what, if any, incentives are being offered for September on Camry's? I'm looking for a 4-cylinder LE. I know it was $500 cash back last month or special financing.
  • mocitytxmocitytx Member Posts: 12
$500 for 4 cyl, $1000 for 6 cyl. Some APR deals too.
  • wpt9wpt9 Member Posts: 2
Do you mean $19850 plus sales tax and title?
  • mcdawggmcdawgg Member Posts: 1,722
Since it is an LE, I'm 99% sure it is an automatic, because you can only get manual in SE or just plain Camry (CE), not LE.
  • caazcaaz Member Posts: 209
here in So calif ive been offered 2009 Le automatic 4 cyl for 18,000 plus t&l

It is known that Toyota quarterly or even more often makes price increase on their cars. I'm on the market for a Camry LE and was told by the Fitz dealer that 09 Camrys manufactured in September will have $300-500 price increase. Can anybody confirm?
  • lucky_777lucky_777 Member Posts: 205
Getting an offer for $19400 before tax for 09 Camry LE I4 Auto in Cleveland area. Comes up to around $21K OOD. There are also rumors on price increase from Toyota. PA Fitzmall has 09 LE for $19460 but they don't have color I want and it is 4-5 hours drive. Should I bite or wait for better deal?
