I replaced my Eagle GS-D tires with some Yokohama tires (YK 420). They seem pretty good to me. I do not drive my car very hard and I could not justify paying over $200 for the michelin pilot tires. I have only used toyo tires about 10 years ago on my celica. As far as I can remember, they were ok. They are probably different now, hopefully better too...
Good luck
I am thinking about the Toyos, but I don't want to lose any performance or have problems in the rain. Maybe others have tried them on the G35. I got a price of The Michelin MXV4 that are V rated in the 90s for $729.00. Goodyear Eagles were priced at $831 and the Toyos at $535. I will check out the Yokohama tires.
Thank you!
I hope someone can help me with this. I have a 2003 G35 sedan that has the normal factory radio. It is RDS enable and works fine. The radio station scrolls on the screen as well as the name of the song playing on many stations. I bought a 2005 g35 coupe not too long ago and also have the RDS enable. However, the radio station nor the name of the songs appear on the radio screen. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong?? Thanks in advance!

I also spoke with Infiniti Customer Service, again no help. Then this last Tuesday on my way home the cruise control disengaged on its own, this happened so often that I just turned the cruise off. This vehicle is now in with my local dealer, I told them I do not want it back until they can tell me that this problem is fixed, but my gut feeling is that I am going to get nowhere with this problem. This problem is a time bomb just waiting to go off again. This is too bad as I was pretty pleased with the car with the exception of the seat controls built into the seat, but I did not find out about that problem until I spent 7 hrs. in the car on a business trip. Which really caused a pain in the butt. Does anyone know of a way that I can get out of my lease and get rid of this accident waiting to happen?
However, from day 1, I've had a persistent problem with rattles from the dash. After a while, I narrowed it down to the air vents. The problem is in fact possible to eliminate by pointing the vents all the way up or all the way down but I live in California and it's summer so that's not really a solution.
Has anyone else experienced this problem. I'm wondering whether it happens on non-sports suspension models and whether anyone else has complained to their dealership about it?
At first I thought it was me letting you of the accelerator and the car jerks or hessitates for a brief second. I have noticed it at speeds between 30-40mph (2nd to 3rd), as well as highway driving over 65mph. I have not paid attendtion to the rpm needle to see if it is in fact happening between 1-2000 rpms. It happens about once a week, but I can't explain it to the dealer or duplicate the problem if I try. So I have not had the car looked at. I may go soon for my 30K service and get it looked at.
Lately I have been driving the car harder so I don't notice it anymore!
I actually came out here to see if anyone with a 6MT has had the clutch stick on them. Mine did this morning and before I realized it (radio was up with windows down) RPMs hit pretty high. Not a big deal, except I was going nowhere with traffic barreling down on me. Had to tap the clutch a couple times before it came loose. Checked when I got to work and I know it didn't stick on the floor mats. Anyone else have this problem?
Air Vent Rattles: I have heard this in mine too. I play my music/radio loud sometimes so I don't notice it as much. I try to listen to it again tonight.
Hope this helps!
The RFID signal will get you into the car and let you start it, but the car doesn;t recognize a new driver unless you actually lock/unlock etc., via the key fob.
Try reprogramming both fobs according to the owner's manual and then keep the above info in mind.
Would you let me know if you find a solution? Thanks.
My 2004 G35 sedan is due for a 15k maintenance service. How much should 15k service cost at a dealership? I am in Southern California.
Also, I heard that there's free brakepad replacement till 30,000 miles on 2004 G35 Sedan. Is this true?
Thanks
I asked about the brakes at this tire place. He told me the slight pulsing is probably a rotor needing turned. I am getting an alignment there Tuesday and the guy is going to put the rotors on the machine to check them. I am wondering about the pads too since they have 40,000 miles on them! I sure have a lot of brake dust to clean every week when I wash my car.
Anyone have suggestions for aftermarket pads that don't make as much dust? I probably asked this too soon and will just go back and search the files here.
Thanks for everyone's help. I appreciate it.
This is on a 2003 G35 coupe.
Also, the auto tranny seems to get confused on shifts once in a great while. It kind of forgets to shift, probably a tcm software problem or something, but just wanted to make sure this is not a sympton of this car's tranny going out. Has 40k pretty easy highway miles. I'll ask the dealer to check it out but they probably won't do anything cause it's not really serious.
Does anyone have any experience using after-market glass of an Infiniti?? The auto glass repair shop says that the after-market glass meets all of the Infiniti standards except that it does not have the logo on it.
On the bright side, the acceleration, braking, cornering are absolutely top notch. I love this car and I'm so glad I now know how to feed it.
Well, the problem went away for 2 months, and yesterday, when trying to "fill up" with that liquid gold, it started all over again. Tank (near empty) took about 20 bucks, then the pump "clicked". I was unable to sqeeze any more in to the tank. Well, I could have stood there for another 15 minutes, and squeezed it in about 1 cup at a time, but at that point, I was pretty pissed.
In my state (MN), they have a "lemon law" which I am now thinking of pursuing. It allows for an outright replacement of a vehicle if they can't fix the same problem with 4 attempts.
I would like to hear from others who are running into this inability to fix this problem. Post here, and cc back to nmarriott (AT) sjm (DOT) com
