Hi Go4dolo, I'm just glad to hear someone was able to take advantage of that outstanding deal and glad it worked out for you. I've talked to one of the managers from that dealership and they sound every bit as legitimate as you have described. I've tried to get friends or family to take advantage of that deal but you are the first I've heard to do it. I would do the same if I wasn't so upside down on my '07 Coupe! I bet that was a tight squeeze to get those 19" tires inside the G all the way back to CT.
Take care and let us know what you think of your new ride!
Long time reader, first time poster. I'm interested in buying a 2009 G37x AWD coupe with Tech+Premium+Nav package and possibly illuminated kick plates. The pricing that I'm getting quoted online are about $41060 with MSRP of $45865 and invoice of $42060. I've only started to shop around, but wanted to see if anyone has had luck getting a good deal on the G37x (AWD) along with any general thoughts on the AWD car. Thanks!
I had been diligently researching and going on test drives with local dealers. The furthest I had ventured out was Norwood, Ma which for me was only about a 1.5 hr ride. The best they were willing to do was $6k but no special financing so at best that just turned out to be a nice drive out of state for me. I was getting a bit discouraged with my hope of finding a deal I felt good about until I ran into the Edmunds forum and ESPECIALLY after I read your posting. My initial reaction was to think that there was either a catch or problem with the car; nevertheless, I was excited and hopeful. I immediately started my communication with Fields by way of email and phone each time becoming more confident that it was as you said, an "outstanding deal". What sealed the deal for me was when I asked them to send me proof that $10k would be taken off the MSRP. They were willing to fax me a 'bill of sale' once I provided them with a vehicle stock #. It all happened so quickly thereafter. In a matter of days I was on a plane to make the purchase. The trip was definitely worth making and their service iced the cake. So far, the car has been great fun and it is 'so me'...., atleast that's what I've been told. lol
Anyhow, THANKS for your posting especially given the fact that you're already an owner of an '07 Coupe and yet thoughtful enough to post the info and allow hopefuls like myself benefit from it. I don't really care much for forums but I figured it was the only way I could continue what u started in 'paying it forward' by detailing my experience and expressing my appreciation. There are still plenty of '08 G37s available. The tires were definitely a tight squeeze but with folding the back seats, I managed to get all four in the back with minor obstruction to the rear view mirror. Sorry for the lengthy response but I'm both excited and grateful. Now it's time to find a great deal on a rear spoiler!
That is too bad if that is the case. As far as I know, it wasn't an advertised promotion as I had to directly communicate with Fields' staff to have the sale confirmed. The only promotion I knew had a end date was the free All Season tires when buying an '08 G37. I would presume that they are eager to move out the '08s and what better way than to offer the best deal around. So maybe with some patience the 10k deal may come up again. Good luck.
I went to the dealer the other day and was offered $35,000 OTD for a 2009 G37 Sedan Journey with the premium package. Has anyone received a lower offer for this particular package? This dealer is in CA. Thanks in advance.
Wow that's a great story! I guess that is what they meant by pay it forward, it's easier to do when you don't think too much about it, I guess. One question for you, did you get the manual and if so what do you think of it? I have a manual 07 coupe and really like the shifter but still getting used to the temperamental clutch!
Well take care and happy motoring! Don't use the all season's unless you have to! :shades:
Sounds like a good deal. In late January, the best offer I received was $365xx OTD on an 09 Journey w/premium, so that's about $1500 better. The state is increasing the license fees (may have already gone into effect), but that may be somewhat offset by the tax break the feds are offering (on your return next year, not this year) on vehicles purchased on or after 02/17 of this year. My guess is that unless you need the car now, or just want to have the process over and done with, you might be able to take a bit more off if you wait another month. But already that offer appears better than it was just 6 weeks ago.
I did not get the manual. The last manual car I owned was in 2003 and I vowed never get another. I know that with sports cars it seems pointless to not get a manual but I just couldn't go back to another. However, I do get a chance to simulate the manual experience minus the clutch of course. I'm sure it the manual G37s must be alot of fun nevertheless. Is the temperamental clutch something that can be fixed or is it just something you'll have to learn to get use to? Do you suggest not to use the all seasons because they are not as good as the summer tires?
The summer tires should be better in all conditions in terms of grip and predictability, except below 40 degrees and in snow/ice. Although, they will be notably louder than the all seasons.
Sales tax in Los Angeles is going up to 10% in April, from the current rate of 8.25%. Does anyone know if the tax on lease payments will stay at the lower rate if the deal is closed by the end of March?
I think L.A. County Sales Tax rate will be 9.75% soon.
If you PURCHASE a vehicle, before tax rate increase, then you will save on sales tax. Also, if you purchase or lease this month, License Fee should be less. They will be raising Vehicle Lic Fee also for all Californians.
I was wondering whether to get the Infiniti Elite Extended Warranty (7 yr/100K miles). If so, what is a good price?
Just bought my G37x with Premium and Navigation for $36,300. I could have bargained a little harder, but it seems like this was a decent enough price for this time.
No, I took the discount instead of the cheap financing. I got 4.54% for 60 months through Chase. This was arranged for by the dealer; the best I had gotten was 4.65% from BofA, although I could have gotten a little bit cheaper if I was willing to open an account with a credit union.
Got it at Jim Coleman in Bethesda, MD. G37x with sport, navi, premium, cargo mat, cargo net, wheel locks, splash guard, and rear spoiler for $36000 plus $99 doc fee, tags, title, and tax. Sticker price was like $42435. I had a 2005 G35 coupe that I traded in. Love the cars! The spoiler makes a big difference!!
I'm looking at the same car (2009 G37xS) but in addition to the premium, navigation and sport packages, I also want the technology package. Dealers are telling me that the car either comes premium, navigation and technology packages or premium, navigation and sport packages but not all 4. I'm curious if anyone else has heard this or tried to get all 4 without special ordering the car.
mugengsr, was the rear spoiler factory installed or dealer installed? I'm thinking about getting the rear spoiler and possibly the front chin spoiler which come together in the aerodynamic package but since I'm leasing, I might have to pay for 100% of those options over the course of my lease since they're probably dealer installed (i.e. they're not residualized).
I had the dealer throw in the spoiler for free. It's the raised spoiler not the lip one. The raised one looks very sporty on the car. I recommend getting it.
A free spoiler, that's great! That saved you a few hundred dollars. I don't think you could even put a lip spoiler on the sedan with the chrome edge on the trunk. Even if you could I don't think it would look good.
I was looking to buy a G37xS w/premium, navigation, and sport packages, in the Chicago land area. Has anyone picked up a similar G37xS from any of the dealers located in the Chicagoland area. If so what was your buying experiance, purchase price, intrest rate, etc.
Are the G37 Journey RWD sedans available? I have searched the Greater Boston dealer database and the only G sedans out there are either G37x or G37 Sport. Where are the Journey sedans?
I'm looking into buying a 2008 g37 coupe. Whats a good estimation on how much I should be paying. I'm putting $4K down and financing the rest. Since its almost April, do you think I could buy one for 30k or below?
Has anyone recently purchased a 09 G37X coupe with nav and premium and spoiler. Invoice is 41,862. I have been offered 39475. I feel good about it but didn't know if they could push further....
All - It was very useful for me to read though all these post as I was looking into the G35, so I wanted to post my experience for others to use.
I found a new 2008 with the premium package in Santa Clara, CA (Frontier Infiniti) and got it for 29,500 + tax and license. They still have 3 or 4 more 08's on the lot - this was the last on that did not have the black interior (my wife said no black), so we got "stone." It was a nice no pressure experience.
Also, the San Jose dealer offered me the base G37 for $31,387.
What would be an acceptable price these days for a 08 G37 Journey coupe with Sport package? No premium. No navigation. Just some other options added like cargo net, auto lights, splash guards, rear spoiler, trunk mat.
I'm getting a sale price quote of $36,598, which still seems high to me.
That's too high for an 08 coupe! You are missing out on the upgrades for 2009 so try to shoot for at least 2 grand below invoice plus any rebates. Otherwise find a dealer nearby that will sell you an 09 at invoice.
I'm looking at a lease for this 08 coupe. Would $2K below invoice still apply in a lease situation, where the dealer doesn't have access to those rebates from Infiniti? Or do they still?
I was quoted $32900 + TTL = 35,250 OTD in Dallas for 2009 G37 Journey with premium package, splash guard and cargo net. This was the first quote without nego and the pricing does not qualify for low APR. Is this a good deal or can I do better?
I'm trying to decide which car to buy. A NEW 2008 Altima Coupe or a 2007 CPO G35. My top concerns are reliability and material quality. I've see a number of 2007 CPO G35's with low miles (17-20K) on dealer sites requesting $24-26K. I've seen some 2008 CPO's for $25K, but they seem to be off rental which I obviously don't want.
First, what's a good price for a low mile CPO 2007 G35 Journey (with no options)?
Second, does anyone have any experience with the CPO warranty? Have trouble getting the dealer to honor repairs? Is it pretty much just a Powertrain warranty for the 3 years after the B2B expires?
Third, would you chose a NEW Altima coupe or CPO G35 if reliability and material quality (interior+exterior) was your TOP priorities and you plan to keep the car for 5+ years?
I am shopping for an 09 G37 Journey, Nav and Technology package. Can anyone share your experience in Northern California? I sent out email to 9 dealers around my area already. Any dealer hungry for sales? I would like to wrap up the sales before the sales tax increase in California before 4/1... any information will be appreciated..
In Austin TX, I was quoted ~$2,000 below Edmunds TMV ( ~$32800 + TTL for a G37 Journey with premium package, splash, cargo net). It does not qualify for low APR. This seems roughly in line with yours. I'm trying to figure out if this is a good deal. My company is a supplier to Nissan and this price is supposed to include a 'company discount'.
thanks for the response. i have made a counter offer of 2K below invoice; no loan ( i am getting an outside loan for 4.4% APR). I will let you know the response tomorrow.

I know we can search by dealer name, but can we search for inventory by region, state or country?

Curious where I can get this great price?
Ergo, tax will go up on April 1st, regardless of when lease is closed.

New 2009 G37 Coupe - Premium
The offer (before TTL) is $1,100 below invoice.
Sticker is $41K, Invoice $37.7 Offer is $36.6
Based on what has been posted here, that sounds like an excellent deal for a 2009.
Thoughts/comments?
Was that for an 08 or 09 ? Edmunds invoice for the 09 equip. with prem. pkg. is $37,444
Thanks
