Total selling price is $37,863 (said that this is invoice)
Less the $2,500 incentive
Dealer said there is a $1,000 cash to dealer, but they do not pass on to buyer
Shipping fee (car is not available locally, found one out of state) $550
Wood trim not available (only after market available) $800
Add 10% for tax and licenses
Is this a good deal? If not, what should I be negotiating? I have a trade-in too and I am willing to accept the lowest wholesale price on Edmunds.
Thanks in advance for all feedback...
2009 G37 Coupe - Premium, Navigation, Cargo Net, Alarm Impact Sensor, Lighted Kick Plates
MSRP - $43,435
Invoice - $39,832
Price - $35,549
OTD after TT&L - $38,067
I am interested in a 2009 G37X. Don't need any additional options or even the premium package. What kind of deals have people been getting on this vehicle.
Do you think it is possible to get this all wheel drive vehicle with no options for $30K or $31,500 with the premium package. I will be paying cash.
Thanks.
Which So Cal dealer? What was the part of the deal that wasn't available on a local car? The color combination? Wood trim?
Thanks
the deal ranges from fabulous to terrible, depending on the terms of the financing.
you have a choice between low rate financing from Infiniti (in the form of a loan or a lease, with 2.9% apr), or $2500 cash discount upfront if you do not take the Infiniti financing.
so if your dealer is selling you that car at $33.5K, AND providing you with Infiniti financing, that is a fabulous deal.
if your dealer is selling you that car at $33.5K, but providing you with independent financing (arranged by the dealer), it is a terrible deal for you as the financing terms now for a new car are roughly 5.99 - 6.99%.
you do the math,
31 G sedans sold month to date @ an average of $2594 below invoice (which is around $5700 off MSRP) - the best deals (for the customer) have been at $3150 below invoice - so you can guage your offers and counter offers with that. (Don't forget doc fees, trade in values, financing, etc).
Now some vehicle are coming very hard to find - so the price may flex because of that - for instants Sport Pkg and vehicles with the Tire & Wheel Pkg are about sold out, certain color combos are done. We are down to 50 G sedans and we sold 5 today so at that rate we will be sold out by end of the year (about 15 of the 50 are demos). So, if you are in the market for one - now is the time; otherwise you will have to take what is left or go with the 2010.
PS I'll post some stuff on the 2010 tomorrow.
I've followed this forum for a long time and it has always proven to be a really valuable source of information. I've watched the remodeled G35 to the G37 sedans for a bit and it's my pseudo-obtainable dream car. I'm not in a situation where I have to get a new car though, but if the opportunity presented itself with the right price, I wouldn't mind capitalizing on it. I live in Houston and wouldn't mind traveling some distance to pick one up.
Basically my goal price is $27k. After running numbers with my wife that's what we want to pay based off a 3yr loan. Anyways, no trade in, but I would definitely not mind buying a used/demo G37 Sedan. Main thing I'm looking for is Lakeshore with Premium package with 15k or less miles. Any additional options would just be frosting on top. I'm sure the Nav would be really sweet to have, it's just that I'm sure it would put things out of my price range.
I would greatly appreciate your feedback, whether this would be obtainable or not, especially with the 2010s rolling out soon. Keep looking for a used/demo or do you think if I wait til late Jan or Feb a new one can be had at that price. Thanks again.
I recently took delivery of a new 2009 G37S Coupe 6MT with premium pkg and a list of "other" fluff(illuminated kick plates blah..blah). Total paid 33.3k+ttl. This was from Beshoff Infiniti and the buying experience was just awesome!
Thanks in advance!!!
G coupe manuals - only 43 left (sounds like a lot, but that is less than 1 per state).
Good luck.
Is there any color or package combo that is completely out?
Are those colors or package combos the first ones expected to show up as 2010's?
10K mi, 36 mo
1400 down including 1st mo
441 month
Good deal???
MSRP: 37,065
Invoice: 34,172
Sales Price: 32,900 (~1,250 under invoice)
Residual: 54%
MF: .00113
1st month: 825 (fees+taxes+1st mo pmt)
monthly: 420+tax
How does this deal look? Possible to get the sales price much lower on lease? My understanding is leases cannot take advantage of the 2500 dealer rebate.
1) How much under invoice did you get yours for?
2) Did you use financing, and if so what kind of financing?
Thanks, happy holidays.
This is what is hard to find right now: Manuals, Auto w/ Sport Pkg, any thing with Tire & Wheel Pkg, vehicles that are Red, Lakeshore Slate, or Sahara Sandstone, vehicles with wood packages, and Tech Pkgs....this is in Texas but I'm sure we are all in the same boat.
We were invoiced on 2010s today - so they should hit our lot tomorrow or Thursday.
The figure you provided would fall within my purchase point as well...I am in the Houston area too so perhaps we can provide an incentive to a dealer who would be motivated to close 2 G37 sales by year's end. If you would like to consider, e-mail me at shoe10@gmail.com.
It looks like I'll have to visit Discount Tire to sell my stock wheels & tires for upgraded 18" wheels with UHP all-seasons unless folks here have a better solution.
(Most people suggest negotiating the sales price first when leasing then working towards a monthly payment instead of the other way around.)
Merry Christmas.

that's true. and for that, you need to negotiate a lower purchase price.
"2010 here soon and more expensive. "
that should help you when it is time to sell the car in the future.
However, for me, the benefit of having car with specs I want + federal sales tax deduction for this year outweighs any potential price reductions.

Your deal is very close.I did not get a Navy.
in october I purchased an 09 G37x Coupe with Navigation (7 sp Auto is standard on all X coupes) and I paid $4,500 below invoice, and MSRP at that time was $44,825. hope this helps!
Also, I'm considering shooting for the 0% 36 months and $2K under invoice on a 2009 journey RWD plus premium. If anyone has any thoughts will be glad to hear them.
i paid cash for the vehicle, so i qualified for $4500 in incentives. so i basically got invoice pricing.
I had a similar car priced - it is identical to yours except the wood trim. 39 months lease, zero down, 10k miles / yr, etc. at 440/month (tax included), and $1.1k drive-off.
wood trip is about $500, at 56% residual, that translates into about 8 dollar more expensive. so had I had it, my lease payment would have been 448/month.
My $1.1k translates into about $30 more per month, so I would have ended up with $478/month. In the same ball park.
