genester1, Contact Dayton dealership (Scott Wetterich is the internet guy). He immediately offered the car you seek at $32,000. Add $1900 for nav for $33,900 and this is how I got the local guy to go $100 lower. I believe that Cincinnati and Cleveland have more cars but didn't bite for me last week. Dayton is tied into two Kentucky dealerships; the car I bought came here from Dayton. Good luck!

Thanks again for your insight. I made my 1st visit to Mike Ward and I'm planning to head back down on Thurs just to drive the sport to get a better feel for if it's worth the extra $. I am a bit flexible on the interior but my preference would be the black exterior with the wheat interior. I also asked for the wood inlay but it sounds like they are in very short supply.
From the comments in this chatroom it really appears that they are eager to not only move the 09's but to move them this week. I am hopeful that will play into my favor. To be honest I would be happy with a deal like yours and a fiar trade on my Altima. Thanks again for all of your help and have a Happy New Year!

I bought a G37 with Premium but no Nav in Houston this Saturday and got a little better deal than SJack24, I think, so I sent you an email. I hope you don't mind that :)

I understand that 09 G wood panel is African rosewood and the '10 is going to switch to Maple. I'm close to pulling the trigger on the G, but honestly don't love the Rosewood. Anyone seen the Maple in an 2010? How does it look?

Looking to buy a G37 sedan with prem+nav this week and have found a lot of good info on this forum already. anyone who's recently purchased a G37 from a northern cali dealership recommend one?
  • kennykingmakennykingma Member Posts: 3
If you're shopping for a G37x in the Boston area; latest ads at Infiniti of Norwood offer G37x with Premium and Nav for $33,499. I think this is a really good price. This is $500 less than last month. I did a quick search on their inventory and there's limited stock - I know I sound like I work there but I don't.

I was offered $34K for same car at Herb Chambers Infiniti in Boston and Westborough. They had lots more inventory including 1 garnet and 1 of that tan color you hardly ever see; as well as 1 very rare Lakeshore according to their inventory.

I ended up buying the dealer's demo G37x that had 5K miles; premium plus nav; platinum graphite with graphite interior; rosewood (which I didn't think I would like but it really warms up the car), as well as the 3M plastic protector on the front bumper and all 4 door frames, as well as the usual trunk/floor mats and mud guards for $33.2K. Good luck!

would you mind sharing which bay area dealership you got that deal from?
  • punesguypunesguy Member Posts: 11
The maple looks really nice. i saw it in an FX35 with the wheat interior. It is a bit lighter and less "red" in color.

Have you talked #'s with the dealer in the price differential on the '09 vs the '10? I'm going to pull the trigger this week as well if the discount on the '09 is large enough.
  • ig37_dvrig37_dvr Member Posts: 5
I have not talked numbers on '09 vs. '10 yet - mostly because dealer has been unwilling / unable to speak to '10 pricing. They just don't know enough about '10 yet. Sounds like most of the current '09 incentives will not be in play with the '10 (I'm basing that off this forum, not anything I heard at the dealership). I imagine if I end up waiting for the '10 in order to get the maple, I'll really be paying for it. Anyone else heard something different on this?

I've asked the question on two forums and still have yet to get an complete answer. But I'm pretty certain, there will be no deals on 2010's.

    The 2010 pricing is out

    http://www.nissannews.com/newsrelease.do?id=1003&mid=140

I have a feeling you won't get much better than MSRP on a 2010, unless someone speaks up and tells us different.

Hi there was this for the G37x coupe with navigation and premium ?
    thanks :surprise:
  • genester1genester1 Member Posts: 14
Thank you - going to give Dayton a call. What was the MSRP on the car you got - $32,000 off the car I described is $4,127 below invoice. I would love to get that price :D
  • punesguypunesguy Member Posts: 11
Thanks for forwarding the 2010 pricing link. Which other forum have you been on? Is it as helpful as this one?
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
this forum has been the most helpful for actual purchase information as well as info about maintenance.

another site I found was myG37.com it's helpful too.

I bought from Beshoff Infiniti, but was getting similar deal from Niello Infiniti. I was also called by Peninsula Infiniti. I think Peninsula had a good selection but i would be careful them. I had shopped around 7-8 dealers in the area. At least 3 of them refused to go below invoice. But it was then (couple of weeks back) and things should be different. Good luck!

P.S. I have posted some of the bay area's dealer's review @ yelp.

  • pinkbunnypinkbunny Member Posts: 3
thanks for the info, appreciate it. looking to purchase before Thursday and will see what dealers have in stock. Why do you say to be careful with Peninsula?

    Here is the summary...

    MSRP - $37, 775 (sticker was 38K+; destination charge?)

    I am happy!

    sjack24,

I am also trying to buy in Houston. I am not getting any deals close to what you got. The final quote I got was 33,800 + TTL for G37 sedan with premium and Navi (same color and interior like yours) they only included tint and wheel locks. Really had bad experience with 2 dealers (quoting one price and when you go there they changing it) Do you mind telling me which dealership you went to and who is your sales guy. Did you do financing thorugh them? Please email me to jaikishoreb (at)gmail (dot)com

    Rusdude,

I am also in Houston trying to buy the same car. Can you send me the same information to me at jaikishore (at) gmail (dot) com. thanks in advance.

Just out of curiosity, do you mind sharing your purchase price before TTL and doc and the APR you got?
  • hookedoncars2hookedoncars2 Member Posts: 10
Last night, purchased 2009 G37 Sedan Moonlight White w/premium, nav, wheel and tire package, and splash gaurds. Price paid before TTL $32,300.

    MSRP $39925

Word of caution! Although I am happy overall with the deal, I might have done a little better. The sales manager asked me if I wanted out the door quote. I said no, lets just price the car. All the taxes will be the same anyway, right? Well, my offer was $1100 under their initial offer. My offer was $32,000. Then he comes back with lets split the difference. I say no. I'll go $32,300 or I'll have to walk. Mind you my initial negotiating strategy was to walk if my initial offer waqs not met. I got caught up in the excitement of owning this fabulous new car. Well, he met my second offer at $32,300.

Now the part of caution. As I went through the TTL numbers, I see a dealer delivery fee of $599 as part of the total. Same as doc fees. Had I known about this up front, I would nedgotiated harder. Thats high in my opinion, but in Florida, apparently dealers can charge up to $800 for this by law. Finance guy told me this was a lower figure than most other dealers in the area. Don't know, don't care. Its just that had I known about this figure up front (my home state dealers can charge up to $250 by law for doc fees), I would not have offered the higher number and adjusted my negitating accordingly.

By the way, I asked the sales manager if he would have honored my first offer of $32,000 if I started to walk (knowing I might not get a straight answer). His reply was I would have walked. But he also said they may have called me back before year end/month end to accept my initial offer, depending on their sales numbers. They had 8 units to sell in basically two days to meet some financial incentives from Infinity. They had about 30 deals pending, but no gaurantees. I thought that him telling me that was nice and upfront.

    "Now the part of caution."

your worst enemy in any negotiation is always yourself: or your inability to be emotionally detached.
  • punesguypunesguy Member Posts: 11
Great feedback and I think you did a solid job of negotiating. $300 on a $39k car represents 0.007% and there was no guarantee that they'd call you back. I hope you enjoy the car and I hope I do as well tomorrow when I go to strike a deal!

G37xS with sport, premium, nav, trunk mat, cargo net:
    MSRP: 41,465 Invoice: 37,962

    Including destination:
    MSRP: 42,330 Invoice: 38,827

    Paid: 34,000 (+tax, title, tags) @ 4.09% APR

Also had a trade-in that I was pleased with the value for. If you can do without the new features (the USB interface probably highest on my list) the last of the 2009 inventory looks like a great buy.

Sounds like a great deal. I am looking for the exact same options. Do you mind sharing what state and dealer you bought from? Thanks and good luck with the car!
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
We have several 2010 G sedans in stock - we have sold a couple at MSRP; however, if someone has bought from us before we will discount $500. You then have an option of $1500 or special rates! :)
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
what do you mean by option of $1500, is that $1500 below MSRP or something else?
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Guess it would help if I hit "tab" instead of "enter". :D

    2010 G sedan or coupe

    Purchase: $1500 or special rates (0% for 36, 2.9% for 66, 4.9% for 72)
Lease: $1000 Loyalty Rebate (must own an Infiniti)

Most dealers are selling the 2010 at MSRP - $1500 or special rates.

    2009 G Sedan

    Purchase: $3500 or $1000 w/ special rates (0% for 36, 1.9% for 66, 3.9% for 72)
Lease: $1000 for all and sales tax credits (in Texas)

So, when comparing 09 and 10 - you have $2000 difference from Infiniti, plus about a $3000 difference in discount from dealer, plus 2010 went up about $500 - so about $5000-$5500 difference which is about right. If you want a 2010 wait about 4 weeks - you will save about $2000 (dealers will start to discout). :)
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
    Thanks.

    I've already put a deposit down on a 2010 G37x - prem, nav, rosewood

Now it's just trying to make sure I get the best deal i can. Thanks for the $1500 info. I will be paying cash (minus what I can get the dealer to take on a Credit Card that I will immediately pay off, but get airline miles out of)

I know there are better deals on 2009's unfortunately, there are no 2009's with all the extras I want.
  • woj207woj207 Member Posts: 54
Another question, Do you know anything or do you have links about the "3M Clear Bra" or similar product that gets applied to door edges, front part of hood, lights, etc, and how good of a value the product is? Also if you know how it looks on light cars versus darker cars? I'm looking at the Lakeshore Slate....

I'm currently considering the following lease 'offers':

2010 G37 Sedan, with Sport, Premium, Navi, and Kick Plates (Gun Metal)
    - $568/m, including tax, 39-month lease @12K miles/y - $0/down and $0 due at drive off

2009 G37 Convertible, with Sport, Premium, and Navi
    - $639/m, including tax, 42-month lease @12K miles/y - $0/down and $0 due at drive off

I still have my current lease through April - 3 more payments total $2400 left.

Can I expect these type of $$/month in April, or should I consider jumping on one of these now (knowing that I'll have to eat the last 3 payments)???

I only have through this weekend to decide since the incentives will disappear!

    Thanks!!
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
I think it is a good product. It is a product for folks who love their cars - take pride in them and want to take care of them. So, if you lease or don't care that much - save the money. I think it is hard to see on both light and dark cars. :)
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
I would wait...the 2010 will get better the convertible should be about the same but most importantly - you don't have to roll in the 3 payments or eat them.... :)

Picking up one of the last four Manual G37s Sedans today.

    2009 G37s 6MT Sedan, with Premium package.

    Price = $31,344 + TTL
    OTD = $33,359

Thanks to all who posted their experiences.

Now, getting off topic a little bit, but with all the new G37 owners out there. What's the best way to break in your new G37 with Manual trans? I've heard compelling arguments from both camps ("baby it" vs. "drive it like it was meant to be driven").

    Thanks again forum members!

Thanks for all the information you guys have made available here - it definitely saved me some money!

Just purchased a G37x sedan + premium + splash gurds and cargo net for 32,200 + tax, title and $250 doc fee. That is about $7,000 under sticker price.

    Thanks again! :)
  • hyoemnshyoemns Member Posts: 2
It was in Maryland. There are two dealers in Virginia who are advertising "Internet prices". Having the pricing posted by Infiniti of Tyson's Corner and Passport Infiniti of Alexandria was helpful in getting an even better price at my local dealer. I'm not sure how much more wiggle room there is on those prices because they sure sound pretty good.
  • twinturbo07twinturbo07 Member Posts: 3
I hope the deals are better in 2010 than know, but I'm thinking that once the incentives are gone for the end of year specials that the dealer won't be so inclined to let me drive off with $0 out of pocket. I do want to keep the payment below $650/month with $0 to start (not even drive off).

Probably will get a better deal on a 2010 if I wait for that, but really think the convertibles will be close to the same deal?

If I wait and the monthly's go up, and I have to pay something out of pocket at drive off, then it will cost me more than just have the two payments for 3 months.

The G37S Convertible was a SWEET ride! And, I'm coming off of a 335i Coupe.

    Thanks for the opinions!
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
We (dealers) don't care how much money someone puts down, that is irrelevant to the price the vehicle is sold for and the profit or loss we make. Everyone pays for 100% of their car eventually - so putting money down just helps you get started. On a lease, putting money down just lowers your payments.

    The Convertible is sweet!

Thank you very much for your open and honest feedback. I am torn between an Audi A4 and the G37X. I have a couple of questions I was hoping you would answer:

    1. Can you add certain features onto a car that might not currently be in place (ie. illuminated kick plates, splash guards alarm sensors, spoilers)?

    2. Is it relatively easy to ship cars in from out of state? I am in CO and was wondering what it would cost to transfer a vehicle from your place in Texas?

    3. Do you think there will still be decent incentives after Jan 1 on trying to move the '09 inventory?

Thanks again for participating in this forum!
