    Here you guys go...

09 - no change from last month. This will be the last month on incentives on the 09 G family - at the end of the month, no more lease support or rate support. Infiniti will just give the dealers the dealer cash and it is over. Look back about 10 pages to last month to see the breakdown on the programs.

10 G sedan & coupe - Infiniti is changing it up a bit. Instead of an either/or proposition - you get both!

    10 G sedan: Special Rates (0%-36, 2.9%-60, 4.9%-72) AND $1000
10 G coupe: Exact same thing as sedan
10 G convertible: Special Rates (same as above) OR $1000

So, your price got $500 worse but your payment probably got better....

Thanks for making us #1 in the Nation. We sold 150 new Infinitis last month to lead all dealers and put us in the #1 spot year to date. :D

I know last month there was $1500 plus $500. Is this month $1000+ $500+zero percent?

Basically what happens/happened to the $500?

    Thanks
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Actually last month you had a choice: Special Rates OR $1500

There was not $1500 plus $500...at least not in the West Region....maybe you had a regional promotion.

But bottom line is you lost $500 but got to add special rate....so if you were a cash buyer it got worse, if you were financing you will have to do the math compared to the rate you could have gotten on your own...probably close to a wash...
  • robjamellrobjamell Member Posts: 35
Yea I guess the extra $500 was for the Philly area.

I see the VPP no longer has EVERYONE gets A or B, correct?

    @Sewellgsm

Could I find a 2010 G37 Base for under 30K? A 2010 G37 Journey (no premium) for under 31K? I am in the NY area. Thanks!
  • gurmgurm Member Posts: 27
Hey, do you have any 2010 G37X with black with graphite, nav, prem, kick plates, interior accent, possible tech package also in stock or coming soon. Let me know, I could get it shipped to Northwest.
Also, does having a sports package on AWD change the ride comfort? Are sports seats comfortable for 2-3 hour trips. I am trying to see if its worth it to have sports package added, anybody please suggest, thanks.
    Cheers....!

    Sewell,

I just got into the office today and looked at the numbers for last month... let me be the 1st to congratulate you on your awesome month! 150 cars is phenomenal!
We did 80 which our GM is very happy with because for the 3rd month in a row were #1 in our district. We finished #3 in the region & currently stand #17 in the country. More importantly it's a 173% increase over March of 09. There's proof right there that the business is on it's way back. Best of luck to you again this month.

Not sure about you guys, but were down to 3 09 G coupes & 3 09 G sedans. Were sold out of 09 G Convertibles... I ended up selling 2 out of the last 3 that we had last week.

We also currently have no 2010 G convertibles in stock as we sold the few we had.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
    Thank you.

We have 1 09 G sedan and 1 09 G convertible left...(sedan was owners daughter demo & convertible was down in service waiting on a part)....sold out of 09 coupes and 2010 M's....

    Congrats on your month. :)

I'm looking for the following.. The dealer claims he can't find it on the west coast, or anywhere in the US.. True ? Does anyone have this car? Closer to Seattle the better, but depending on the deal, I may be willing to come and pick it up..

    G37s 2Dr Sport RWD (Manual)
    Athens Blue Exterior
Stone Leather / Shodo Aluminum Interior
    Technology Package
    Navigation Package
    Splash Guards
    Carpeted Trunk Mat
    Trunk Net
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
You must custom order that vehicle - there is not one in the US like that. Athens blue is very rare, then throw in Tech Pkg w/ Sport - not out there.

Takes 3 months to build and ship over to US.

    Thanks for the info..

Can I still qualify for the current deals, or do I have to take what financing deals are available when the car actually arrives? And how much is fair for a car that is special ordered? Is there usually a premium?
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
No, you have to take the financing deals during the month the car comes in. Special orders are not a premium, most dealers will agree to a price based on the MSRP then you get to take whatever incentives are going on at the time. :)
  • gurmgurm Member Posts: 27
Hey, I am in Seattle area too and can't find the specifications I want here, found a few in Chicago, so probably have to get it shipped from there or buy something else if that doesn't happen. Also the dealers here are more expensive than even Northern Cali due to no competition. Good luck with finding your car.
    Cheers...!

    Hello all,

Dealer is offering this on a 2010 G37X sedan with prem/nav packages and first aid kit (who cares), splash guards, trunk mat, etc. For invoice of $37,750 and 2.9% for 60 months. That was their first offer, I think I can do a little better. I really wanted this with the wheel package, however they do not have one in my color on the lot and would have to get from somewhere else. I am inclined to believe they would deal on this one since it is just sitting there.

Was thinking about sports package, sat in one today, seats way too snug for me.

Any thoughts or feedback on this would be very helpful???

ya, I don't know of many Seattle dealers for luxury cars that don't overcharge.. I will take my business out of state if needed..

Yeah, it sucks car shopping in Seattle. Infiniti in particular.

How are the infiniti dealers up there ? Sounds like they are not much better than Oregon's dealer. I am thinking about driving to Dallas as I think someone from that dealership posts to this forum quite frequently.
  • ptgregptgreg Member Posts: 15
Hello everyone what would be a good price to pay for a G37x coupe with prem and tech package? Does anyone know of any 2009's out there equipped like above? I would consider an 09 or 10. Thanks for your help.
  • jsjsmith13jsjsmith13 Member Posts: 5
Just bought a new 2009 G37X coupe from Memphis of Tenn with premium, Nav and Spoiler for OTD $38,000. Price included $600 shipping fee from Tenn to Ok and $300 documentation fee. I'm assuming that this is not the best price out there but it was the best price I could get. Dealt with four dealers; OK, TENN, and MO and none of them would come down lower than 37K for any AWD coupe. Even though dealers are ready to rid themselves of these vehicles it seems like the 09 coupes are becoming more and more rare and the options and colors buyers might want are disappearing.

Can anyone tell me what a literature kit is? I'm assuming it is the overhead reading light but what gets me is why would anyone place this as an option on a vehicle.

"How are the infiniti dealers up there ? Sounds like they are not much better than Oregon's dealer. I am thinking about driving to Dallas as I think someone from that dealership posts to this forum quite frequently."

My understanding is that the Kirkland, Spokane, and Beaverton dealerships are all owned by the same dealer group. I don't know how to verify that for sure, but it's been mentioned on these forums before.

I've asked people about the Kirkland dealer experience when I see one of their license plate frames on a newish G, and have yet have someone say that they felt like they got a good deal. The few dealership reviews on Edmunds aren't that favorable.

When I was in the market for a G 2 years ago, I didn't get a 'warm and fuzzy' from my initial email contact with Kirkland, so I didn't pursue it. I ended up test driving a VW R32, and leased that. When my lease is over, I'll be looking for either a G, a MB C350, or even possibly an SHO. I love the R, but 2 doors are a little impractical for me, but the car is a hoot!

All that being said, I do some business in Dallas a couple times a year, and contacted the gentleman at Sewell about the possibility of getting the car there, and either driving or shipping it back to Seattle. They were extremely helpful, friendly, courteous, etc. We never got to the point of talking money, but I felt like they'd be willing to work with me, especially if I was coming all the way from Seattle.

I wouldn't hesitate to contact them again when my lease is up in 2011.

I saw swellsgm's post about the new incentives for April. I am going to do the VPP plan (I was unaware that my firm was a Nissan business partner when I bought my first two Infinitis  )

When I asked my dealer about incentives, my dealer told me to go to InfinitiUSA.com to see them. But that site does not show the $1,000 customer cash, or any regional incentives either. Any way to find out if I will get the cash back, or if there is any regional incentive on top of this? Thanks for all the info guys! I would never have known about the VPP plan without this forum. I"m in SW Ohio if that matters. Thanks, Tom
  • britishmuttbritishmutt Member Posts: 10
Hehe, yeah, dealers generally won't talk about those cash-to-dealer incentives and they don't show up on Infiniti's consumer website because you're not supposed to know about them :P According to Edmunds.com there is a $1000 cash-to-customer loyalty bonus to new leasers, but I don't know why that's not advertised. You don't mention whether you're planning to purchase or lease but either way I'd go back to the dealer and mention the specific incentive you're interested in. If they try to weasel out of it then talk to another salesman, or another dealer entirely.

    ptgreg,

You can't get a G37 Coupe with just Premium & Tech packages... you must get Navigation to get the Tech Pkg. I work for Infiniti of Tampa and I just did a search throughout the country for a 2009 with prm, nav, tech and there are only 2 left in the country.

As for 2010 there are only 13 on the ground right now, but certianly more coming.
  • infiniti427infiniti427 Member Posts: 33
For anyone out there looking for an incredible deal on a remaining 2009 G37 Coupe Journey I thought I'd share with you what were doing at Infiniti of Tampa on the 3 09 G coupes we have left.

We have 1 with just Premium Package and were selling it for $31,998+tax,tag&fees.

We have 2 with prm&nav and those are selling for $33,669+tax,tag&fees.

Just thought I'd give a heads up to anyone in the country looking for a deal on a 09 G Coupe who is still in the market for one and their local dealer isn't doing something close to that price.
  • tallen01tallen01 Member Posts: 2

That's a great deal, but your $600 dealer fee is a little hard to stomach... :surprise:
  • m6userm6user Member Posts: 3,181
Why don't you just add the $600 to the price they are asking for the car and consider the dealer fee to be $0.

Then it would still be a good deal and you'd think you were really being treated great by having absolutely no dealer fee! :)

It's the bottom line that's important so it doesn't matter how the dealer allocates the dollars. In a lot of states the dealer fee max is law. Where it's not, you have more to figure in your negotiations. Just ask up front what the dealer fee is and negotiate price accordingly.
  • ptgregptgreg Member Posts: 15
Hey there Infiniti427 do you have any g37x 2009's?
  • infiniti427infiniti427 Member Posts: 33
    ptgreg,

Sorry buddy... down here in Tampa we never get an AWD Coupe as there really is no need for it in FL.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Then there prices wouldn't be lower than everyone elses ;) - I love when customers come in and want me to match some advertisement they have seen on a car in Florida - we look like the bad guys....
  • m6userm6user Member Posts: 3,181
I hear you. I was just trying to point out that the prices being offered were still pretty good even considering the $600 dealer fee. Maybe not lowest in country but still aggressive prices.

Some people just get so hung up over the dealer fee that they think they are getting screwed even though the bottomline price may be the same as someplace else with a lot smaller dealer fee. Huge dealer fees are a tacky way to do business. Actually, I think dealer fees period are a tacky way to do business. It ranks right up there with charge for towels, etc in the service departments. I'm waiting for the napkin charges to start hitting my check at restaurants. ;)
  • fredflintfredflint Member Posts: 6
I got the same vehicle (Journey Coupe) with Premium Pkg and a cargo mat last Friday. My price included the same $600 doc. fee, but I didn't sweat it, because the dealer offered the vehicle at $30,550. I figured $31,150, was still better than anywhere else. To close the deal, I was able to get financed for 60 mo. at 3.25% with only 10% down.
  • sewellgsmsewellgsm Member Posts: 775
Or charging you extra for your bags at the airport....or how about those rebates on the electronics - have to fill out tons of paperwork on your own, then they never send it and hope you forget about it.....car dealers are pretty good about giving you your rebate right up front and collecting the money themselves from the manufacture....maybe we aren't so bad.... ;)
  • zooomiezooomie Member Posts: 4
    I paid $38000 out the door (or $35089 + Destination/6% Tax/Title/Doc). For 2010 AWD Navigation / Premium / Sports / Illuminated Kick Plates / Cargo Mat/Cargo Net. (MSRP of $42,929). Decent financing - 2.99 APR for 48 month.

The more I drive it the more I love it! I had Lexus GS430 before and there is no comparison. Sports suspention is a bit stiff for my wife's liking, but that's Ok she'll rarely drive it.

    Dear all,

I got my new 09 G37X on Dec 29, 2009 and have driven it 1,980 miles so far.
Should i get my first oil change recently or wait until it runs to 3,750 miles?
Someone said first oil change for a new car should be around 3 months from delivering date but according to dealer, i need to wait until it runs to 3,750 miles.
Just wondering which one should i follow.
It's my first infiniti, so i want to keep it in good & proper maintenance.
Thanks for the feedbacks in advance! :shades:

Go by your owners manual. It was written with input from the engineers that made your car and I would take their advice over anybody at the dealership or anybody on these forums for that matter. It will also preserve your warranty if you go exactly by the owners manual.

Hey i usually finance but think im going to lease this one it makes more sense since i go through vehicles every few years

I would be trading in an 08 g37coupe that still has 17000 left to paid off Got offered 25k for it

    2010 g37 coupe journey
    Sports Nav Premium Packages
    Midnight gril illuminated kick plates

    MSRP 45568
    Sale Price 42200
6k down includes first payment tax and all the fees
    $435 monthly
2k back from the trade in also 8k difference 6 going towards down payment 2k in my pocket

Good Deal or what can i do didn't think ishould put that much down
  • rsilverrsilver Member Posts: 6
The $1000 is not a rebate as with low-end cars. Its dealer cash given to the dealer to use as it deems necessary to sell the car. The VPP, probably a D Plan, gets you a fixed price and then you may also get the dealer cash.

  • rsilverrsilver Member Posts: 6
Thats a lot down on a lease the the money is gone. You can also do advanced security deposits whcih will lower your payment a bit but not as low as with the $6k down. Most of the $6k can go toward advance secuity deposits which will lowwe the money factor and you'll get you security deposits back at the end of the lease. The net/net is usally better this way.

Dealer fees are what they are and cannot be deleted from the buyer's order or the state could force a refund of all dealer fees on previously sold cars for a period of time. Its a matter of price discrimination. I've seen higher dealer fees at low-end model dealers.

  • rsilverrsilver Member Posts: 6
I just wrote a reply to another posting. The dealer fee MUST be shown on every buyer's order whether or not the price of the car reflects an additional $599 discount to mitigate same. As you stated, its the bottom line that counts.

I realize that as I think most people do. I was speaking theoretically, not literally.

You were correct in your post about most states requiring dealers to charge the same amount to all customers if they charge it at all. This is due to possible charges of discrimination like you said. However, I know of no state that REQUIRES a dealer fee to be charged.. That is the dealers choice even though a lot of dealers will say it's a "state requirement". Most states just say that if you are going to charge one, it has to be equal to all purchasers and some set actual dollar limits. I think in Illinois right now it is $151.50 or thereabouts.
  • rsilverrsilver Member Posts: 6
You are right. Dealer fees are not a state requrement but have become a precedent in most states. Some states control the dealer fee such as PA which limits the amount. Bottom line - once the practice is started, it like herpes - for life.

    Zoomie,

Where did you get this car from? I am looking for new 2010 G37 AWD with some options and quotes I recieved so far are discouraging. The best quote I received so far was for a G37 AWD with premium/navi/sports package/splashguards/rear deck spoiler/ trunk mat, first aid kit, cargo net/ill.kick plates was for 40k plus dealer fees & taxes, total almost 44.5k. Seems like there's no other dealership closer to where I live, in Salt lake city.
Let me know, I think its about the time to got o CA or get a car shipped across the country
  • iluvnewcarsiluvnewcars Member Posts: 23
    In NJ
    Premium
    Nav
    Appearance package
    Trunk mats & net
    splash guard
    MSRP 41830
    Sells for 37450
Did not qualify for loyalty rebate.

Now there is a metaphor for dealer fees!
  • pb13f8013pb13f8013 Member Posts: 6
That's reasonable price. Well, the shipping would be expensive, at least a grand but still much less than here. I'll try CA also. I would like to see where Zoomie got his car from, seems like he ordered the car himself from Infiniti.....with no dealer fees or even destination fees....haha (just kidding). Zoomie?
Hey what does appearance package mean? How hard is it to find tire and wheel package on AWD with prem/navi? And how about tech package, seems like nobody has bought tech package so far, tough to find or even order?
