To jsjsmith13, 31K for that car is a little high. 28-29k + TTL is a good deal. That's about 10K saving in 2 years assuming that a new 2010 is about 38.5K.
Interestingly, if you equip the Journey with Premium, Sport, & Navi packages, the MSRP is $41,415 and the USAA lowest price in my area is $36,381. You can make the Journey more expensive with technology package, etc.
I have a 2010 G37 Sport 6MT with Navi on order with the dealer who is closest to me for $35,349. Overall, a great price for a great sport sedan. Good time to buy.
MSRP=44,265 for a S + Tech + Nav. Add floor mat, carpet trunk mat, and splash guards = 44,630

:-)
I think you should try to print out several ads in your area and take them w/ you when you go to see any cars. It's just away to show them that if they don't try to make a deal now, you might buy from another dealer today.
BTW, is this CPO? If it's a CPO, 31k might not be too bad.
I wish it was a CPO....I think I would have taken the car if it was. Looking at what a 2010 G37S with nav, prem and spoiler will cost me and seeing if the difference is worth purchasing new. I thought we were in a recession and l could get a good used car for cheap. I hate the hassle of buying a car, so much stress in trying to get a good deal. Thanks
I don't even think you can find a base Journey in the NE. You probably can find a 2009 Base X w/ sunroof for about 31k + TTL.
One - it gives a "Target Price" which is an average of what dealers (like us) tell USAA we will sell the vehicles to their customers for. It is not an exact price.
Two - there are always a couple options on the vehicles that are not on the USAA website, usually tint or something - many customers want that stuff for free - but the price is already so good, there is no room to throw anything in.
Overall - we love it.
Many dealers just as well sell some other extended warranty, which they make much more money on than the $895 that the CPO cost (100k warranty of $895, can't beat it, but dealers don't make any money on it).
Still we love it - helps us sell more pre-owned, so therefore, we trade for more and sell more new! Guess that is why we lead the country in sales!
Do dealers eat all repairs or are they reimbursed by Infiniti or is there some kind of cost sharing arrangement?
$38,000 out of door price (VA, tax I think is 3.17%) for a G37x, Premiun, Nav, Wood trim, and 0% financing for 36 months. The difference was not too much, the manager wants $38,485, and we wanted $38,000. Since we are not in a hurry for ths car, and we were hungry, so we walked away.
My price puts the car at around $34,090,82 with processing fee at $399, $1500 for 0% financing, freight $865, TTL $64.5. What do you guys think about this price?
Saw this from a dealership in Va and was wondering if this is the going rate for a new 2009 Infiniti G37x coup with AWD NAV / PRM / CGO / IKP / SP2 Coupe. $36,260 seems to good a good price but will still try and lower him down to $35,000. What are your or anyone else's thought on this.

Thank you for your dealer insights.
Obviously, a dealer will not agree to a price unless they are making an adequate profit. Still, I am not sure I understand why dealers might "love" arrangements with a car purchasing program such as USAA. Wouldn't you prefer someone who is negotiating on their own & perhaps out of ignorance or inexperience is willing to pay a higher price, or are these folks relatively rare?
In my case, I had never considered the G37 sedan because the listed MSRP was well outside the range of what I am normally willing to pay for a car. That changed when I discovered the discounts on the USAA website. Maybe your point is that such a car buying service brings in people who otherwise would never have made a purchase?
USAA usually lists 2 or more dealers, each with a different price, so it would seem they are not indicating a common average price. My car will be delivered in the next couple of weeks, so I will find out shortly whether my dealer will stick to the the USAA price.
Agree that I am unlikely to have significant items thrown if for free. That's OK. I don't really have much to add.
Thanks for the help
Wonder what happens when the stability control is turned off???
My advice, pull the trigger at or around invoice and smile.
VPP = Nissan's Vehicle Purchase Program
Thanks
We just want as many folks as possible to walk through the door or inquire about buying an Infiniti. Folks who use a car purchase program sometimes get frustrated, not because the number the dealer quotes is not good but because it doesn't match exactly what their particular website quotes, so then they think something may be wrong. If they will read the fine print (we have to point it out most of the time) we get back on track to selling them a vehicle.
46 G Sedans (most 2010) @ average of $524 under invoice (after using the $1500)
14 G Coupes (most 2010) @ average of $586 under invoice (after using the $1500)
9 G Convertibles @ average of $576 over invoice (after using the $1000)
Again, most deals I see posted on this forum are even better than these averages, which makes sense - since you are so well informed.
PS 46 G sedans leads the country.....
Thanks
For example, I am looking at 2010 g37x that has MSRP of $41830 and buying it for $37k. That is an 11.5% discount.
The reason I am saying NOT including $1500 rebate is because I am taking the zero percent financing.
Thanks in advance.
Base on the deal, the car is $35350.40, while MSRP is $41,830, which includes Premium Package ($2150), Navigation ($1850), Body-color splash guards ($170), Carpeted Trunk Mat ($105), Trunk Net ($60), First Aid Kit ($30), Interior Accent Package ($550).
I got the 2.59% 63-month financing. The rate was 2.99%, but I bought the 5-year, 75,000-mile all inclusive maintanence program (includes all oil changes and major maintanence) for $2600 (I know, I am a loser for taking it but I am lazy), so I got the 2.59% deal instead.
Nissan VPP
I have never done the VPP and wanted to make sure I was understanding this correctly. Also, is it a big hassle?
Also, is there currently a VPP discount on 2010 G37x sedan and if so, how much.
Thanks
Usually there are four VPP plans. Plan A & B are for Infiniti/Nissan employees and their family. Plan C & D are for companies tied into business with Infiniti/Nissan. Plan C&D are good, but not as good as A&B.
However, Inf/Niss is running a special till the end of March - everyone (A-D) gets the A plan! So, get your VPP number from your brother-in-law and go get you a G.
And act fast if you got only Plan C or D! That promotion of upgrading to Plan A pricing ends tomorrow, 3/31.
I am concerned that the ride quality & tire noise will suffer a bit. I see no mention of a suspension change with the sport or tire package. Can someone share their experiences?
Also, what is the "activation disclaimer" option?
Easiest negotiation ever.
Good Luck!!
1) A 2010 convertible, with Nav, Tech, Premium and Sport package.
2) AWD with Nav, Tech and Premium
3) Journey with Nav, Tech and Premium
I live in Arizona and the dealers I have spoken with locayl apparently can not get any of these vehicles out West or basically anywhere. I am also shopping the 325i and the A5, but I am a techie type of guy and love what Infiniti offers, as we just replaced my wife's '05 FX35 with a '10 loaded FX 35. What is a guy to do? I don't really want to order one, but it looks like I either do that, or head to BMW and take the $2500 and other considerations for their vehicle. I don't seem to see any loyalty cash out there and I don't know anyone to get the VPP. Help...
