I plan on purchasing a G35x (with no additional options) in the spring, but some of the prices people have been reporting on '04s look pretty great (especially the Herb Chambers ad that was mentioned for $26,880). Does anyone have any insight about what I should expect to pay if I wait 5-6 months and buy an '05?

Been looking at a G35 sedan, and waiting for Infiniti Financial to put out incentives on the 2004 G35 sedans that are remaining. This hasn't happened. Instead, they just keep pushing back the release of the 2005 sedan.

It is already November...will the 2005 sedan be here by the new year, or will they wait until 2006 by which time all the 2004s will hopefully be off dealer lots. Infiniti, wisen up, create some incentives other than the $1000 in dealer cash to move the remaning 2004s.

In the mean time, I guess I'll have to settle for an Accord given the 1.9% financing on the 2005s. Wouldn't have minded paying another 15 grand for an Infiniti, but with no additional incentives, I just can't justify it.

When we bought our 04 Coupe August month end 03, couldn't get Herb Chambers of Boston to move much on the price despite 2 trips there and talking directly and at length with a manager.....sales guy was knowledgeable, helpful, and professional though.

Kelly Infinity of Danvers was another story altogether, very satisfying purchasing experience. Reached agreement on price in about 5 minutes with the GM as we were ready to buy the car we were looking for off the lot.

    Try Kelly Infinity.

I live in the Va Beach area and it looks like I'll be able to get invoice at either Charles Barker in VB of at Rosenthals in Noprthern Va. From what I've read, invoice is a very good price on this car. Do you agree or have they dropped?

Just came from Holman Infiniti in NJ. Quite a lot of 04's left in the inventory at their two dealerships. The salesman said the 05's started arriving in the last day or two. Infiniti is offering $1000 to the dealers for marketing. How much of this can I expect to bite into? BTW the dealer will have to get the car that I want (twilight bluew/willow int, premium, nav from another dealer. How much do you think this should add to the price. I am thinking $500 or so below inventory for the vehicle.
  • pkl123pkl123 Member Posts: 43
Check a few posts back, you'll see Quirk in MA is advertising 2005 g35x @ $31,100. w/ premium pack. A few guys on long island paid $31,500 w/ premium, wood package xm radio, mats and flaps. Not too sure how much the nav adds to the car though. IMHO, you shouldnt pay any extra to have him trade w/ another dearler , they do it all the time, thats why they call it a trade, it shouldnt cost him any extra . Good luck!

Has anyone been able to get any decent quotes on a 2005 Coupe lease in Florida? I have not been able to get any dealer to move $1 under MSRP. A couple of dealers now have over 20 vehicles in inventory so I'm hoping they start dealing. By the way, on the 36 month lease, the residual is 62% and the money factor is .0023.

Hi: Live in Long Island, without trying to be nosy, could You tell Me the details of the lease, Down paym't, length, & buy out price at end of lease.

I'm getting off around 1500 of MSRP in south florida.

They really dont want to budge on coupes at all, but I guess I lucked out after working on this for a while.

If I went right now for a coupe I would not expect much off of it.

I'm expecting delivery beginning of December
  • simon562simon562 Member Posts: 8
If I could get 1500 off MSRP I'd do it today. I'm talking to South Motors and the dealer in Coconut Creek. Neither of them have budged at all yet. If you would email me after you close your deal, I would appreciate it.

Anyone bought one yet ? Seems to have hit the lots on the East Coast !
  • CRJCRJ Member Posts: 15
I live in the Northeast and spoke with the dealer today about leasing a 2005 G35x. We were looking for one with the premium package and a spoiler. The MSRP was $36,660, and the spoiler brought it up to $37,250. The lease price we were quoted was $535/month for 39 months and $0 down. Seems very high to me. The dealer wasn't discounting at all. What does everyone else think? Thanks.

I have been shopping a lease for a g35x w premium package and if you can handle the 2004 model you will save about one hundred dollars a month versus the 2005.

Received two prices from two different dealerships in NJ. One quoted me for a 6mt coupe with premium pkg/tire+wheel pkg/aero/spash guards and trunk mat for $33,035. I then had another dealer give me a quote for a coupe 5A same package included as the 6mt for $33,835 which I then told them I had received a quote for a 6mt close to 33k. He then came back to me with the same price as the 6mt at $33,053.

I'm torn between the auto and the 6mt. It really doesn't matter which one I drive but all I'm asking is do you think I'm getting a better deal on the 6mt rather than the auto. When you included all the extras, the invoice price was about a hundred dollars difference.
  • pkl123pkl123 Member Posts: 43
What do you think the difference would be on a straight purchase ?
  • jjcooljjcool Member Posts: 1
I tested drove both(2004 model). The 6mt(2005 model) gives you an additional 15-20hp and my thought is that if your buying a sports car, buy a stick. If not, you will be finding yourself driving down the road wishing to change gears.

What dealer gave you those prices. Them seem very good.

I have a quote from a NJ dealership on an '05 with Prem, Nav, XM, wood- MSRP of $39,310- of $38k. I don't think that's the last offer, either.
  • pkl123pkl123 Member Posts: 43
Thanks thats quite a premuim over the 2004's. Same package would be $33,500 on a 04' .

Got a quote for 39m/12k lease. $1500 out of pocket and $460 a month, taxes and all fees included, premium package included. What do you think?

Has anyone bought a 05 G35 Sedan with just a sunroof option if so what did you pay.
  • dhsieh9dhsieh9 Member Posts: 44
I just reached a deal with an Infiniti dealer internet sales for an '05 G35 sedan with Sports Package & Sunroof. The price is $1400 below MSRP. I think it is pretty good given the fact that not whole lot of '05 G35 sedan are available now and most dealers are asked for full MSRP.

Hello, Hope the following info helps anyone in Northeast looking for an 04 G35X: After lots of phone calls from lots of dealers, leased an 04 Diamond Graphite G35X w/ Premium, mud flaps, trunk mat, wheel locks for $320.00/month, $3000 total out of pocket, 12k/yr, 42 mos. Feel free to reply, good luck.

Just two questions , what was the final purchase price (not incl TTL) and what happened to your TL search ?
  • perplsmurfperplsmurf Member Posts: 10
final price w/out TTL, was a bit less than $30K i beleive. Said goodbye to my TL aspirations after getting quotes for G35x. Considered on-coming winter and bang-for-buck. I guess further posts will reveal if I made the right decision. :)
  • pkl123pkl123 Member Posts: 43
I think you did really well. I am in the same boat as you. I love the TL, but the all wheel drive G35 x is a true bargain !

I'm waiting for Pepe (WhPlNY) to find me an '04 G35X w/ Premium w/o full-size spare in Garnet Fire/Willow.
      Pepe-$33,334
      Same car:
Ramsey(NJ) $32,565 ( from the dealership over the net)
Competition (LINY) $31,500 over the phone, but the guy was a clown; I almost hung up on him.
I prefer to buy at Pepe; I'll present him with these quotes and see whether he can match. I might have to walk away.
For $2300, I'll drive to the Island and deal with it.
      Any thoughts?

I just bought a 2004 6MT with premium package, full size spare, splash guards and trunk matt. Silver with graphite interior. I paid 31009 and with taxes and registration etc I paid 32404.

My experience is a bit mixed. I live in Northern VA and I sent an email to all three dealers in my area. 2 in VA and one in MD. I told them I wanted a Twilight Blue with Graphite Interior, 6MT with Premium and that my drive out price, i.e., all included gross price should be 32,000. 2 dealers said no way and one said yes. The dealer which said yes is Jim Coleman in Bethesda MD. We exchanged some more emails and a day and time was set. This was so smooth and hassle free.

On the selected day just before i get there I tell them I have an ancient Toyota and if they accept trade ins. The guy said yes. He asked how much was I expecting and I said whatever edmunds TMV says and he says that sounds fair. So I take my old Toyota in thinking this will be a great day.

Now I get there, they show me the car, but hey!! the interior is Willow not graphite, the car has 400 miles on it and guess, what I see a coffee stain. Grrrrrrrrr!!! So I say no way to that car. They say they have no more in blue, so I ask what else do they have and they offer the silver car (this one had only 15 miles on it). So I say OK.

Then they offer me just $100 for the toyota, the edmunds TMV was 1000. Ugh!!! more arguments and we settled at $550. So my net was 32404 - 550.

By the way, at the end the delaer said if I ever wanted the Nav package they could get it for 1300, which 700 less than if I got it as an option with the new car. Something to check before you pay for the Nav option.
At the end of it all, I love my car, and once fight over the price got over, the fact remains that this dealer did make me the best offer.

I am almost ready to move forward on buying an 04 G35, it has 21k miles, black/beige, leather, sunroof, power etc. Also comes w/ 60 mile bumper to bumper warranty. It's the base model.Price: 24K. Can someone give me some advice?
  • pkl123pkl123 Member Posts: 43
$31,500 is a fair price not great, especially w/ the 2005's hitting the lots. Check some old posts, a couple of guys paid $31,500 from Competition Infinity for the X , w/ wood package XM, mats & flaps. And that was a month ago, before Infinity offered a $1000 marketing allowance to the dealer.

    Good Luck !

I tried Pepe earlier this fall and was unimpressed with their deals. They didn't seem to eager to deal, and were selling a lot of non-essential stuff.

Today I visited Harte Infiniti, in West Haven, CT, which has an advertised lease deal for an '04 G35X (w/Premium, but no sunroof) of $259/mo for 42 mos., with cap reduction of ~$3,000. They gave me a quote on an '04 G35X with an MSRP of $36,320 (premium sunroof Bose plus maple, etc.) of $32,995, at $379/mo./42 mos. with no $$ down, 10K, and $1446 drive away costs. Remember that's with 6% CT tax.

Based on the Edmunds estimated deal, this seems about right, maybe ~$200 less than what Edmunds thinks is right. With the $1,000 marketing $$ from Infiniti, I'm trying to hold out for a slightly better deal.

BTW, they have ~80 G35Xs in stock (!).
  • pkl123pkl123 Member Posts: 43
Check again , the premium package always includes the sun roof. Anyway, I'm pretty sure you can do much better than the $32,995.00. You are absolutely right all northeast territories have healthy quantities of 04' G35x's in stock. It will be interesting to see when the marketing allowance ends next week, what Infinity does. I am willing to guess that a cash back offer will be coming on the table. They have one right now for the I30 @ $2,000. W/ excess 04's and the 05's on the lot, I dont think they have much choice.
  • vsixvsix Member Posts: 10
Hey, I checked out the 05 today, and I really love. With the options i want, the OTD price will be close to 39K. So, I'm proceeding to the 04 models.

I'm looking for a G35 sedan, RWD, 2004, leather, with premium, sports package, and Aerodynamic Body Kit w/Rear Spoiler. Can I get it for 30K?or how much should I expect to pay with these options? I will be paying by cash, and I live in SoCal.
  • slotmakerslotmaker Member Posts: 13
    Hello Vsix,
Can't tell you about the exact sedan you want but mine is pretty close, but I did get a 2004 G35 Auto, Premium (without full size spare), Sports Package, trunk mat, splash guardsbut no body kit for $31107, $500 below invoice. The dealership was in Towbin Infiniti in Las Vegas, got it end of September. Hope this helps! Good-luck!
  • vsixvsix Member Posts: 10
slotmaker, I went to the dealers today again, and they are offering 3.5K off MSRP for any 04, and 500 bucks for 05 :D
However, I think I will be paying at least 4K off MSRP by the time I purchase, 30th of Nov. Since you can get such a good deal at that time, I think I have to try my best to bargain with them!
I'm aiming for 5K+ off MSRP
  • miata007miata007 Member Posts: 129
Discounts on 04 G35 Sedan. Last week, I got a quote from a dealer in the bay area for $5000 off any 04 sedan in stock. And for FX35, $5500 for any in stock.

Let me know if you want the quote I got in email. I am sure you guys can do better than that do($5000).

    Good luck!
  • slotmakerslotmaker Member Posts: 13
Good luck and you should be able to do it since I got approx 3.5 k off on 1 04 a few months ago, and don't forget to tell us what you paid. You won't regret the car!
  • vsixvsix Member Posts: 10
hi, miata007, can you give me the name of that dealer? Even tho I live in LA, I still want to knwo the dealer's name. Thanks!
  • rayainswrayainsw Member Posts: 3,192
    Just an observation:

I went to my local dealer to see a 2005 G35 sedan last Sunday AM – when they were closed. Just interested in checking out the new interior and exterior changes right now.

But what I noticed was WAY, WAY more G35 Coupes than I have ever seen in their inventory. 2004s and 2005s – but probably 6 times the number that I have ever seen there before.

Infiniti of Gwinnett – about 20 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.

    Happy hunting!
    - Ray
Wondering if this might mean better “deals” might be available than in the past . . .

My apologies, I forgot to mention 05!! I dont want 04s..thnx
    Pls clarify!!

Or should I wait for new 06 , BMW 3 series coming out this spring?
  • miata007miata007 Member Posts: 129
For 05s, I say it would be best to wait til Jan to make the purchase when the supply for 04 runs low. If you are waiting for the new 3 series, you may want to consider the M35 as well by Feb or March.

From what I seen at Freshalloy.com, 05 sedan can be bought for $1000 to $1500 over invoice.

Anybody had any recent info on pricing for a G35x Sedan in Northern NJ. I am leaning to the 2005 since I have heard the leather and inside materials are a bit nicer. Looking to buy with the Premium Package, Wood trim, Heated seats.

I have tried using the Edmunds dealer quote service but I cannot get anyone to return with a quote.

    Thanks

Yes, if you are an employee of a company that does business with Nissan. There's probably a nubmer you can call on that website.

    Hello,
Last nite, I just came back from a test drive of a 05 G35 RWD sedan and FX. Turns out we didn't want the FX because of interior space and poor rear visability.

In the G35, the new interior is very nice. There's nothing to complain about on the inside(for my case). During testdrive, the car was very quiet, tight, and smooth shifting.

Options: The car we looked at has the premium package and comes with intelligent key. The MSRP was around $34,500(includes dest). We like the car very much but still didn't want to make the decision before checking out the TL accross the street. So on our way out, the manager said $1000 over invoice was the best they can do to stop us from visiting the Acura dealership. This is N.CA if you are interested in the location.

This morning I am checking out the pricing on the additional equipments at Edmunds. It seems like the dealer is actually charging me more on the options than the invoice or msrp listed at Edmunds. One thing I need to verify is if the numbers on Edmunds are for an 04 or for an 05. Or could be the dealer finding different way to make up the profit.

Anyway $1000 over invoice was what they gave me on the 05 RWD sedan.

By the way, does anyone know if Intel employees can participate in the VPP? My brother works for them so maybe I qualify.

This weekend, we will test drive the TL. For pricing, the TL when comparably(spelling??) equipped, is $31,500(quote from internet sales mngr). Which is about $1500 less than a G35 we test drove. We'll have to decide and let you guys know how it goes.
