You may want to try Infiniti of Montclair, I got a Journey with Prem + Navi + Wheel/Tire package from them at $1500 below MSRP with only $45 doc fee. I emailed 7-8 different dealers in LA/Ventura county and most of them wanted to sell at MSRP. The next best one is Infiniti of Thousand Oaks who offered MSRP - $1000.

I thought it was a very good deal so I jumped on it the second day after I got the email offer. No regrets whatsoever, it's a great car.

Thanks tszfung! That's a great deal indeed. I will contact them. BTW, What color did you get? I really love lakeshore slate color but I think they are out of stock everywhere.

I just received this email from Orland Park, IL Infiniti (south of Chicago):

    All 2007 G35 's are 1000.00 over invoice for a limited time.
Stop in ask for a Sherri of a Manager .
    Infiniti of Orland Park
    708-403-4700

A week a go this dealership and others I contacted in Chicago told me they would not match a $1000 off sticker offer I received from a Detroit dealer.

Looks like someone needs to make numbers...and use spellcheck.

I'll forward the email to anyone who wants to use it as a "written offer" to get a deal from their local dealer.

FWIW sounds like a good deal to me. A dealer in Houston had a similar ad, but this was an '06 base G35 sedan with sunroof. Advertised price was $27,000. I went down yesterday to have a look. Like you, I noticed that the 07s are nicer but couldn't pass up the deal. In fact, when I called another dealer to ask if they'd match the price (they had an 06 in diamond graphite, which I'd prefer), he said no and that I should take the car at the other dealership. Also did better than expected on my trade.

This is the dealership I purchased my vehicle from. It was a very good transaction. No headaches, back and forth, etc...Sherri was a pleasure to do business with. They located the vehicle I wanted (lakeshore slate w/ wheat interior, awd, prem., wood trim), and I bought it the next day!
  • tszhfungtszhfung Member Posts: 12
I got it in Platinum Graphite with Graphite interior, exactly the color that I wanted. One of the other dealer helped to do a search and they said there are only a couple of cars in the 5 closest states that have the exact options and color. I guess I lucked out :)

I am also interested in buying a G35, could you share which dealer has the $27000 price? The dealer I called doesn't take the 27000 price.
  • biochemistbiochemist Member Posts: 19
In Chicago, Infinity of Lisle has a base G35 with auto for 25,995. They said to add a 1,000 with the sunroof.

I am looking for lakeshore slate + Navi + Prem on 07 G35 Journey and according to all dealers I talked to, that is a rare combination, so the best thing I can get it is to custom order it. Only one dealer willing to give me $1000 below MSRP if I custom order the car from them. I noticed some people in this forum receive about $1000-$1500 below MSRP on average if they buy the 07 G35 that's already in stock, so should I ask for more discount considering by the time I receive the car it is already in March time frame? Please advise. Thanks!

I bought an 07 G35x last month in Lakeshore Slate with Premium and Nav for about $2000 off MSRP. It was a car they had in stock, so I'm not sure if I could get the same price if I ordered it from the factory instead. From my experience with Infiniti, it may be better to wait for the car to come in as part of normal inventory, rather than to custom order it. Ex: I told my dealer the options I wanted and he said there was only 1 car in the lot like that (different color though), but a week later there were 5 (2 with lakeshore and 3 with other colors). I think Lakeshore and Diamond graphite are popular colors, so dealer inventory should be replenished sooner rather than later.

diesel2029: Which dealer that you bought it from? (which city?) I live in Orange County, CA and it seems like none of the dealers in LA/OC have 07 Journey with Nav + Prem. :(

Just check with a dealer in NY. He mentioned the current numbers are 2.680 and 58% 36months 15K miles for a 2007 G35X. I have a VPP# which he says would be about $500 over invoice. He thinks M/F should get better in a few months. Any thoughts?

I bought it at Ramsey Infiniti here in Ramsey, NJ.

I'm hoping to get some inputs on a deal that I have on an 06 G35x Premium Package. Unfortunately, I don't have all the numbers in front of me as this was all done on the phone. I have been offered a 39-month lease of $679/mo with $3190 down. I am rolling in a significant amount of negative equity ($11,000). I think this is a pretty good deal since the best I could get from the local dealer on a RWD G35 was a 36-month lease of $656/mo with $3000 down.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The money factor is inflated. I don't remember exactly what it is, but I know it's a bit less than that. The residual seems in line. With the VPP they shouldn't even be marking up the money factor since it's pre-negotiated with infiniti. I also suspect that it will get a bit better in January.

Sorry ... just realized that I posted this in the wrong forum.

Supply will have caught up to demand by March. I would wait and make a deal then. No sense committing to a price in today's market for a car you won't have until March.

I am planning to buy the 07 G35 sedan. Do you guys know if we can pay the downpayment of a car using a credit card? if yes, is there a $ limit that the dealer enforces?

(I will pay it off before the due date, I just need some time to cash my stocks....just in case you're wondering why I want to use the credit card, also my credit card can give a cash back reward, so it will be cool if they allow us to use it).

My dealer in MN had a $2500 limit.

Is $29000 a good deal for 2006 G35X (AWD), Premium C package, splash gaurds, mats and XM radio?

Please forward the e-mail to me too. I've been negotiating with a dealer in the NW burbs and they won't budge. Thanks!! ergephobe@hotmail.com

    alright,

i just purchased an 06 sedan, base model with a sunroof for 29k.

Unfortunately, i've fallen in love with the 07 and want that instead.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I admit it...I screwed up. Can I fix this without losing my shirt?
  • biochemistbiochemist Member Posts: 19
Wow, 29K for a base with sunroof? I just got an 06 sedan with premium package C, painted mud guards, and trunk mat for 28595. I liked the 07 when I saw it in the showroom, but living to love my 06. Good luck.
  • gooddeal2gooddeal2 Member Posts: 750
Like another person mentioned...you paid too much for the car unless it's the price after tax and everything.

Most of the '07 comes w/ premium package, so, you're looking at around 34K?

    26.5K? (New '06 base) - depreciation (used car)= 23k? for your car

    34K - 23K = 11K diff.?

I'm just guessing...but I think the numbers should be around that.

I would buy it right away - that is a smashing deal
  • patribefanpatribefan Member Posts: 2
Where did you get this deal? The best I can do around Philly and northern Virginia is $4,000 under invoice for 2006 G35x with only a sunroof, splash guards and trunk mat. That works out to be right around $28,100.

By my calculations, your car is around 38k MSRP and about $34,750 invoice. Over $5500 off invoice? That is a smoking deal. If that's OTD, it's even better. :)
  • theshawntheshawn Member Posts: 30
I know Passport in Alexandria, VA was taking $5500 off MSRP on any 06, Tyson's Infiniti was taking off $6k.

How's it going guys. I'm in the Central Texas area looking for a 2007 G35 Journey with Premium Package. I was quoted about 3 weeks ago by Austin Infiniti for 34,450. I plan on making my purchase at the end of Jan or beginning of Feb. One of the Infiniti dealers in Houston told me that I'm better off buying from Austin. Wow, that's pretty good advice coming from a dealer. But anyways, do you think that the dealer will be more likely to negotiate lower by the end of the month? Is 34,450 pretty good for 07 G35 Journey +Premium Package? Thanks.
  • zeongzeong Member Posts: 31
Was the 34,450 OTD price or without the TTL?

I thought Houston will have a better deal on the G35 as there are 3 dealers around Houston vs. 1 in Austin. I'm curious since I live in Central Texas as well. Thanks.
  • mvp347mvp347 Member Posts: 3
34,450 was before TTL, if I'm not mistaken.
  • malumakanmalumakan Member Posts: 16
if you havent put too much miles on the car, you could ask the dealer if you could trade that in to get the 2007. you might end up loosing litte or some money for the trade in.

Does anyone know what the incentives are for January on remaining 2006 Infiniti vehicles? I know there was a link to (I believe) an Infiniti website that lists the current incentives in a previous thread but for the life of me I cannot find it. The incentive in December was $2500 factory to dealer on the G35 sedan and I am wondering what it might be this month.

    Thanks.

I am looking at two 07' G35x, one loaded, the other loaded minus the technology package and plus the wood package. I have been offered either at 1K over invoice which puts them at $37,532 and $37,000 respectively. Here is the twist. I have a 2006 Acura TL for trade. It has 9K miles and I have been offered $27K by the dealership. It saves me an additional $1100 in taxes by selling it to them so the offer is really more around $28K. I know I have taking a hit on the TL but I am wondering if that is a fair price for the TL and a fair deal overall. I have a couple of questions too. Is the gas mileage really that bad on the 07' G35? I owned an 03' G35 and I was dissapointed at the time. I thought they would have improved it. Also, I am thinking of taking the XM radio with real time traffic and having the Sirius head unit installed. I lose the real time traffic but nothing else. Is that smart for resale or not a big difference maker? I am a loing time Sirius subscriber and want to keep that service. One more thing, does anyone know what the "hot" or "hard to find" colors are? Thanks for any input/advice.
  • gooddeal2gooddeal2 Member Posts: 750
27K for the '06 TL is nice even for a loaded w/ Nav.

Gas mileage? I think the new G has a lot more HP plus a little better gas mileage...I'm still searcing also :(
However, I would not worry too much about gas mileage when I'm willing to spend this much on a car. It depends on which 1 you will be enjoyed more.

    Ex. for 12k miles/year. The diff. between a 20MPG and 22MPG is only 55 gallons/year or 55 x 2.50$ = 137$.
  • dafreak1dafreak1 Member Posts: 61
Thanks for the follow up but I do not think people are getting anywhere near 20MPG on the G35. My TL has averaged 19MPG and if I remember correctly my old G35 was around 16MPG. I have read a few posts where people are saying they are getting around 14/15 in the new G35. That has me a bit worried-not necessarily because of the cost of filling up but because of the frequency.

Im in western PA so my options in the nearby area are limited in terms of Infiniti dealerships - I am looking for an 07 G35x with Premium/Nav, ideally black on black. I stopped in the dealership recently and they would not budge on the 07's, saying that the car is "rare" and that they "sell themselves" so they werent moving from MSRP - aside from that, they didnt have the specifics I wanted and wouldnt make any effort to contacting any dealers in Eastern PA or Ohio to see if they could find one for me, in the hope that I would just cave and take one of the ones on the lot (I would up locating a car with close to my specs, though the interior color is off, on the Infiniti of Cinci website - anyone have any experiences with them, I dont want to drive out there and then deal with BS) - At any rate, I was wondering if anyone has any insight into when supply might be increasing and we might see dealers more willing to budge on the price, though perhaps thats a function in my area of there only being one Infiniti dealership. Thanks guys.

Has anyone purchased or leased a Vehicle from Ramsey Infiniti? If You did how was your experience Like?
  • dafreak1dafreak1 Member Posts: 61
I cant speak for your area but here in the Chicago area we have a have a very healthy supply of G35's around, especially the G35x. It is cheap to fly to Chicago?
  • malumakanmalumakan Member Posts: 16
What Trim did you buy from Ramsey Infiniti? How much did you pay for it? How was the experience with them? Did you purchase a car that was in the lot or was it something they had to find for you? i been waiting on mine over 3 weeks. Every time i call to find out if the car is in they keep on giving me different date. comment
  • slappybrownslappybrown Member Posts: 9
Flight to Chicago one way would be around 60-70 so certainly worthwhile if I can get a good deal. Even factoring the gas on the way home and tolls, etc., I cant imagine that travel related expenses would exceed 200, 250 max. Any good deals out there that you know of for Chicago dealerships on the 07 G35x? The dealer around here made it sound like they were having serious supply issues on the 07 models generally, which I figured was BS given the messages on this board. Thanks dafreak.

Anyone know a good resource to check out when considering buying a car out of state? Ie, what costs obstacles etc do I need to consider when buying a car from another state, and do I get hit with tax title and all that stuff twice. thanks.
  • phairphairphairphair Member Posts: 39
The 07 has a larger less efficient engine. I have been getting about 18.5 miles per gallon with 1/3 city and 2/3 highway miles.

I too was a Sirius subscriber but the XM traffic seamlessly integrates into the SatNav and I have been really impressed by it. I live in Chicago, and I use it daily. If you live in a large city you might want to consider a change. Unless you're a Howard Stern addict.

I don't know about the trade-in offer for your TL specifically but I have found in the past that big-box dealers like Carmax, etc. give higher offers and I have used them to negotiate successfully with dealers.

I also think the $1000 over invoice is an excellent deal. I wasn't able to get anywhere near that in Chicago prior to the New Year.
  • gooddeal2gooddeal2 Member Posts: 750
Hmmm...I got about 20MPG on my '05 coupe for a mix driving (35% city + 65% urban). I got about 23-24MPG on the 200 miles highway.

I'm not sure about 14-15MPG till or if I get the new '07.

However, from 16 to 19, the diff. is only 3 miles, so it's about $300 more per year ($1/day)?
  • phairphairphairphair Member Posts: 39
That's strange. I couldn't get dealers to come off sticker by more than $1000 the week before Christmas. I had several refuse to match a $1500 off sticker offer from a Michigan dealer. I was told at that time that supply would be better in March.
  • dafreak1dafreak1 Member Posts: 61
I have been offered 1K over invoice by a local delaership for any G35 but I do live right down the road from them and they said they wanted me as a customer becuase I live in the area. BS I am sure but if true, very nice. They would not budge on the car very much prior to the New Year and I mentioned a competitor in the area, Luxury Motors, and they started working with me. Luxury Motors is a high volume type of dealership. They make their money by selling a lot of cars.
  • dafreak1dafreak1 Member Posts: 61
I am a Stern listeneer but by no means an addict. I do like their service though and the fact that they have most of the major sporting events. Do you find yourself using the real time traffic or is it more of a neat toy? And if you have used it what has it saved you time, etc?
  • dafreak1dafreak1 Member Posts: 61
I drove very few highway miles so that could be why my MPG average suffered.
  • slappybrownslappybrown Member Posts: 9
I just checked out this Luxury Motors site and they really do appear to be a high volume seller - anyone have any experience with them?

Is this that Orchard Park dealership that someone had posted the 1K over invoice deal previously, I think it was phairphair? Did you wind up pulling the trigger on the 1K over invoice or are you still looking?
  • dafreak1dafreak1 Member Posts: 61
It was not that dealership and it was me who was offered 1K over invoice. I have had some previous experience with Luxurty Motors (they have many sites). The first time was a few months ago when I was looking for a used BMW Z4. I went to theie dealership and I was amazed and that number of people that were a) working for them (salespeople) and b) there shopping for cars. It was like no delership experience I had ever had before. It was so fast paced with people running all over the place. I liked it. When I called them for the G35 they were willing to do it all over the phone. If you reach a deal they require a credit card deposit and you go from there. I am waiting to hear back from them now even though I have this other deal going. That is my limited experience with them.
