I took the 07 invoice number 31221+150 increase in invoice (a number a dealer in spokane washington let slip out)=31371.
I added invoice on the packages (p-1955, n-1853,splash-114, net-40, wheels-400)=35733.
The numbers quoted are from Edmunds, Aug. 14,2007. I padded the prem +145, nav +43, net +3, splash +4 to get close to what the 08s might be.
Not rocket science but no one had hard numbers at the time.
I have since asked the numerous posters, who were not very specific, and claim they got quotes, to list the dealers they got their numbers from and to list specific invoice pricing for specific packages.
When you post similar to 'I got mine with all the above for ...' it doesn't help anyone.
Please be specific!
Sorry if I sound frustrated.
Numbers and delear location please on an 08 G35x with prem, nav, wheels, splash and net. If you get numbers on a wood package, I'll look at that too.
Thanks
I got nowhere with the two dealerships in town -- both salesmen wanted to move their '07 inventory now and suggested they might not even honor the VPP on the '08s at first (which is something a dealership can choose to do).
Then I noticed in the VPP materials that they recommend you contact the fleet sales manager as your starting point on VPP. I did that, and he was extremely polite and easy to work with. He looked into it and found out they had an '08 with the specs I wanted on order. He then handed me off to the orginial salesman to call me when it arrives and complete the transaction. He said I could call him anytime if I needed his help.
The experiences I had were night and day. Give the fleet manager a call first before you pull your hair out trying to get traction on the VPP with the floor reps. I'm also guessing everyone will be more receptive to '08 conversations after the quarter closes (this Sunday).
The price you should look at which is a bit more important, is what the Out The Door (OTD) price would be. As they might have quoted you a price below invoice, they could stick you with some high dealer and other BS fees that, in reality, will actually make the cost of the car higher.
So, go back or call the dealer and ask what the OTD price is going to be and post that. But from what you have said, below invoice is a great price!
2007 G35 Journey + Prem and Nav
Selling price- $33,624

Taxes- $2,506.39 (7.45%)
Plus, I'm doing my own financing and not trading in a car, so they can't screw me there.
Still a good deal???

Remember, "Freight" or "Destination Charge" or whatever they want to call that $715 is already included in the "Invoice". If it's listed and you pay it, you've probaly paid it twice.
Your total of "dealer cost" is not accurate. You listed "invoice" which may or may not (most likely not) be the actual dealer cost. Dealer cost is usually lower than listed invoice (not much but...).
So, 715 + 500 + (part of that 275 dealer prep)+ ? = "PROFIT"
First post here but thought I would post the lease deal I did this weekend. I feel like I got a good deal, looking for some feedback.

My suggestion, take your money elsewhere!

I'd love to share my info. with others if they are considering leases for new 2008's.
I had a dealer order me the car I wanted with no obligation over 3 months ago and they called and said it was hitting the lot this week. I have no deposit and can get out of taking it just by saying "no". I was concerned what the rates would be between the time I was looking at 07 sedans and when the ordered car would be in. I am thinking the price may be a good bit more than I could have paid months ago - had I found the right car.
If all else fails, I would say no and watch the rates each month and hope it was still in stock when the rates get better
Dennis
Thanks

All payments plus your county sales tax.
Is this pretty good? I am new to leasing; what other info do I need? (the dealer is in Atlanta)
Dan
So you could probably get the car for #35,000 or less not counting taxes, title, tags, and other fees. If you are talking "OTD" for $35k then you are either dreaming or live in a state with no sales tax - or you will have to wait for Infiniti to put some dealer money on the left over sedans.
Dennis
$34,088 is the invoice for an auto with premium, splash, and net. With sports suspension, premium, and net (no splash) it is $35,313. So depending on the actual sticker and equipment on the car the $33,081 is a good/great price IF that includes the destination fee. I would get they "forgot" to put that in the quote and added it back in. At $715 it can take a good deal into bad quickly.
I have no idea if the payments are good or not since if they include taxes I have no idea what you taxes are like, nor do I know what the fees are, etc.
I would pin them down on the price and the equipment on the car, then pick a term and ask for the raw numbers - the residual, the money factor, and a list of any and all fees and taxes that they have added into the deal. They could have stuck the $715 on there and maybe a $500 doc fee too, you just don't know.

Price Paid = $35,169.19

MF=.00193
Residual=55% of MSRP
Mo/Payment = $522.23
Due at signing= Acquistion Fee ($648.55) + First mo payment ($522.23) + New Tags, etc ($133.50) = $1,304.28
Also got 3 mos of Sirius free and the first 2 regularly scheduled mainteance items free.
I am generally happy w/ the deal, but a bit annoyed that they could not find a car w/ Sirius factory installed. That would have saved me some money.
2008
MSRP of $40215 OTD purchase price of $37,586.
2007
MSRP is $40365 OTD price on it is $37,427
Any thoughts?
I was quoted sticker price on a '08 g35x (~39,000 OTD) without the premium, tech or nav. What dealer in NJ is this? I would be willing to drive out.
Get the 08

For as much money as these are - you would think that getting the interior trim you want wouldn't be a problem.

Residuals posted are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms
Note: I think Tarry is not correct on the residual bump, I think it is add 1% for 12k mile lease and add 2% for 10k miles lease. Also, IFS no longer offers 10k mile leases with the 24 month term.
Dennis
I did find out that the dealer incentive can't be combined with these cheap lease numbers. So you should be able lease around invoice with the cheap lease or buy/3rd party lease at invoice less incentive.

Invoice on an 07 with the sports suspension, premium, and mat is $35,377, without the suspension and with splash = $34,152
There is a $2,500 dealer incentive on the left over 07 coupes, but I have been told (by several folks) that it can't be combined with the cheap lease deal. But it would appear that you quote includes both a cheap lease (3.4% effective) and your price reflects the $2,500 the dealer expects for moving the coupe. I would sign the paperwork and drive off in the car before the dealer figures out that they are going to lose money if they lease you the car using these numbers

Paid 36069(Invoice) + $400 + $100(doc fee) + Taxes and tags for $38.5k.

I been reading this thread for a while, seems like a price under a grand over the invoice price is good.
Anyone can name a dealer in the NJ/NY area that offered them a good price for an 08?
I would not be afraid of travelling a bit to get a deal. If the snow belt dealers won't come off MSRP then pick up an x GA or some place and drive it back - you may be able to save enough to make it worth your while. I once got a new 'vette convertible from a dealing in Wisconsin in late November - they were highly motivated to get rid of the car and even paid 1/2 the car hauler fee to bring it to me.
Dennis
MSRP:$42025
Paid:$41000 + the rest of the usual nonsense txes but Lynnes included 2 free oil changes and the winter all weather mats too. And i wanted the car and specifically from Lynnes as they are moving to Totowa which is where i live so this worked out great for me.
I felt this was a tremendous deal because at Ramsey Infiniti, Infiniti of Denville, and Ray Catena, they would NOT BUDGE ONE PENNY! The best any of th other offered me was free all weather mats.
As for the Car, whoa! I love it!!! its amazing, although the tech toys are just adding icing to this cake!!! I came from a Mustang GT convertible, so if anyone else is coming from an American Muscle car, and is worried, don't be, this is a step in another direction but one that is just as much fun and fast with a lot more luxury!!!
Get some pics up on your carspace page and share!!!
Enjoy your new G.

Even though I've been a lurker Edmunds Forums has been a real help!!! I put a cell phone pic up but will put some more up. I didn't realize this site was so versatile!
I thought the Nav now came with the backup camera? You need to use it to do a better job of backing in to the parking spot
Dennis
Whomever contacted us after our web inquiry could not produce numbers for an 07' or 08' after five days, they finally called back with the, "You'll be around XXX.XX"
Thanks but no thanks, not sure exactly who they are selling cars to that except this. My wife and I seem to easily walk right out or stop the dialogue when information is not disclosed
