Hi - Looking for a base model lease in NJ.
Dealer is giving base model for $569 a month + Taxes,Title, License, $0 down for 10K a month over the phone but he's saying I can get 12k a month if I come in with no payment first month so comes out to $553.20 per month for 36 months (569*35/36(

    1. Is this a good deal ? I'm asking because most ppl are posting prices with Tech package.
    2. Should I be paying any other fees such as Lease application fee or are others getting this waived ?

Apologies if these questions are too basic..

I signed the papers on a MDX tech package for $46255 OTD. Seems a steep price but it has got the following accesories.

    1. advance running boards
    2. roof rails
    3. all season mats
    4. body side moulding
    5. wheel locks
    6. cargo tri-fold tray
    7. moon roof visor
    8. bumper applique
    9. cargo cover

so without all these before ttl + 479 doc fee, the price is 42241$ including destination.

MDX techies , please let me know if this is a gud deal.

I will have the car delivered on tuesday and will let u guys know the dealer name then.

BTW, the dealer was one of the best , if not the best dealer i have ever dealt with. Smoothest of transactions. I was really really impressed. Would definitely buy from them again.

Got a good deal on my trade too. Got the 1.9% financing too.

    Happy

Is it a good price paid?
  • manny30manny30 Member Posts: 2
Its a good deal... if it includes TTL its a great deal. Add another 800-900$ for the new tires.

I am looking for a similar car.

What was the listed price on the car?
  • jkmdxjkmdx Member Posts: 3
SInce it was from private party.. i did not have to pay any Taxes... will have to pay registration i guess. the owner had listed for 32.5
  • cjacob6cjacob6 Member Posts: 10
You will have to pay the tax on the sale when you register the car at the dmv. They will ask you for the sales price you paid and compute your tax right there. Make sure your prepared for that bullet.

Ok, so like everyone else, wondering if I got a good deal. Just paid $50k for a white/taupe mdx, brand new, with advanced and entertainment packages. Also, got $16k for a 2004 Lexus GX470 with 117,000 miles. Another dealer offered me the same price, but $11k on the trade. I think I did ok but would love other perspectives. Thanks!

Just purchased a tech/ent today in MA for 44,600 including roof rails and destination. This price does NOT include TTL which was 299+125+6.25% MA sales tax.

Would you mind sharing the dealership info? Thanks.
  • jcon4jcon4 Member Posts: 4
Ended up purchasing at Acura of Boston in Brookline. Prime Acura Walpole and Prime Acura North were willing to match the price. Herb Connolly said they could do 44.6 without roof rails. Sunnyside & Acura of Peabody could not come close to the price.

    Hello

I am looking to buy one now. I would appreciate if you can provide name of a dealership, city, state.

    Thanks

would you please elaborate? $37200 + TTL should be less than $42000, did you really get it for $37200? that's an amazing deal!

    (37200+dist)*(1+8.75%)+DMV+Doc=42000 OTD

CA tax is too high, 8.75%,some place is 10%. Faint.

Just bought a MDX w/ tech for $43,386 before T&L from Autowest Acura. No other accessories.

Acura of Serramonte has one for similar price (but includes wheel lock and tri-fold cargo mat). But they did not have the color we like.

It turns out LA dealers did not have to pay $300 advertising fees. So the LA dealers were selling the same car for $42K.

    Oh well...
  • dvricedvrice Member Posts: 75
You said you purchased a 2011 black with parchment. They don't make the 2011 in that color combo. I know because my wife specifically wanted that color combo and we had to seach for a 2010 before the inventory had depleted.

Did you buy a left over 2010, or did you list the color wrong?
  • nhe261nhe261 Member Posts: 7
I think should be 2011, they have 5 base model 2011 MDX, I selected this black with parchment, actually we want cherry with parchment first but hard to find in base.

I will check the VIN. appreciate your remainder. If they lied I will fight and let everybody know.

I have a quote from a dealer for the 2011 MDX Advance package of $47,650 which includes destination. It does not include tax/license and registration fees. Does this sound like a good price? They are looking for a Grigio/Taupe combination for me - while they are looking, I wanted to see if the price was fair. Thanks for any input.

I am trying to trade in a car when I buy an MDX. I was offered 4k below KBB value. Anyone else getting an real low trade in prices?
  • nyccarguynyccarguy Member Posts: 17,528
what kind of car are you trading in? Year, make, model, options, interior & exterior color, mileage...

Post this info on the REAL WORLD TRADE IN VALUES forum here on edmunds & they'll tell you approximately what the car is worth at an auction, which is what most dealers base the trade value on.

    Good luck!

I stand corrected. I checked Acura's website and Black with Parchment is now offered on the 2011.

I am absolutely positive I checked in November 2010 (when we purchased ours), and black/parchment was not being offered on the 2011. I know I checked because that is the color combo we wanted and purchsed in a 2010. I was either given bad info, or they ended up bringing the color combo back. I swear I had even looked on the Acura website at that time and confirmed.

Your price of under $38k before TTL is excellent.

I checked with the dealer, it was made in Feb 2011.

    Thanks and good luck.

Hello everyone..new to this forum..Hope to get your experts comments on the deal that I was offered by a dealer ( in CT ) -

2008 Acura MDX - Base - 24390 Miles in the car - No other frills - Just the base model. The car was listed as 29766 ( internet price ).I was last offered 27500 selling price - Taxes & other fees - included comes to 29628. Is this a fair price for the car ? Please note this is sold by a lexus dealer ,so this price does not include extended warranty.

Appreciate your feedback and expert comments
  • vinh36vinh36 Member Posts: 20
With that kind of money, you can get tech/ent trim. The problem of buying used car is that you have no way of how much dealer bought.

Be patient and do tons of research before buying it.
  • coldmountaincoldmountain Member Posts: 4
thank you for your fast response. The dealer actually showed that he paid 26823 buying it from someone who traded in for a lexus. I'am sure he might have made that money in selling the Lexus. The thing that interests me with this MDX is its very low mileage and clean history.Iam not able to find a similar model at this price for this low mileage.
  • nyccarguynyccarguy Member Posts: 17,528
Where in CT are you? I live in Southwestern Fairfield County and MDXs are all over the place here.

Buy this particlar MDX if you love it. Don't get hypnotized by the low miles. In fact, higher miles means the truck was actually driven. A low mileage car might have only gone a few miles a day. To the train station & back, or just to get groceries & do some light mall duty.

I wouldn't be afraid of a higher mileage MDX. You are buying an Acura after all. Ypou could probably find an MDX Tech with 40,000 miles (still under warranty) for that price.

The MDX is an '08 - 3 years old. Acuras do hold their value really well. Figure the MDX is worth 55% of its original value instead of the normal 50%. No way the dealer bought that car for $26800 & is selling to you for $27XXX. Unless they sold him whatever Lexus he bought at full sticker.

Shop around before you buy this one.

I live in Manchester. The dealer is in East Hartford.
You are right, I see some MDX's with Tech/Enter package for 28K ,although the mileage is 55K+ . I will look around further . Thanks for your advice.

I made a 500 dollars initial deposit on March 18, 2011 for an acura dealership in MA. They could not get the car during that weekend, but they brought the car to their lot on Tuesday night March 22nd, 2011. Now, the financial part involved. From that Tuesday until today Monday March 28th, 2011, they still have not given a solid clue about financing package sent out for signature.

I have made many call attempts, but the sale man did not want to answer my call nor did he reply my emails.

Whats up here? I need advice.

    Thanks

Have what I think is a good price on a Base MDX of $39,990 which is $50 over invoice. (inclusive of Dest.) I now want to add roof rails, body side molding and wheel locks. Does anyone know where I can find dealer invoice on these?
  • pjc123pjc123 Member Posts: 4
I just traded a very clean 2003 Audi Allroad for $4,250 towards a Tech MDX. This is in line with what other dealers offered and is well below KBB. With the mileage and some mechanical issues, I really did not mind though. Just wanted to get rid of the headaches. Love the car when newer...too many issues now.
  • bguen64bguen64 Member Posts: 2
Strange... Sound fishy to me... Maybe they are waiting on what the new incentives are for Apr?

I've been checking inventory for a 2011 Tech/Ent as well and seem like a lot of the dealer (Eastern Mass) had a lot of inventory...

What Dealership in Ma? Curious on what you settled on for a price if you don't mind...

    Thx
  • pjc123pjc123 Member Posts: 4
Settled on just under $41K plus my car for a MDX Tech. This number includes the tax & title and doc. and advertising fee ($250) plus roof rails, body side moldings and wheel locks. I ended up buying in So. NH. ;)

I prob. paid a bit more than I needed to but had a very bad experience while shopping in Peabody. I've had great luck with this So. NH dealer with my '06 TL so figured a few hundred more for a dealer I trust is worth it.

Yes, but this dealer is a slow response one. Calls, paper work, emails, and all communications you have them all at slow pace.

From my first initial deposit to complete paper work, it is exactly two weeks not mention 1 week of shipping.

After all, this is the best deal that I have found so far. Even the price with shipping is still low compare with other local dealerships.

I think two weeks for a car purchase experience is well worth it. It saves you at least 3 grands.

Let me know if you want to know the dealership name and location. I will introduce you.
