I have a 328i xDrive built. Anybody know how long generally I have to wait?
MAKE SURE they give you the vin#. You can then sign on the BMWUSA and track the built through the entire process. You can even track the transport ship as it is moving on the ocean.
I was told it needs 3 weeks. Anyone have experiences?
If you meant build, it is as mod said 6-10 Weeks. remember, once built it has a long trans oceanic voyage. Once t port it has to be transported to dealer.
I leased a 328ix. I was told that I was enrolled the Encore visit program. Whenever there is a question and stop by BMW, then when they answer the question(s), the car will be washed and the tank will be fully filled. I was told by two different people two or three times that when come, make the tank is almost empty.
Does anyone know this program and have been use it? I feel it would be not appropriate to take the advantage for unnecessary stop by. What's the purpose of BMW?
BMW dealers now have a BMW genius. His or her job is to answer and or demo any questions you may have about your new vehicle.A policy (not sure if all dealers are doing this) seems to be to send an invite after 30 days of ownership for you to visit with the BMW Genius and have any questions that you may have answered. That does not include filling your tank with gas. Seems like a good policy. You may not realize something when The CA hands over your new car.
Thanks,johnj56, for your reply. I finally leased a different one on the last day of March. That day I was told the built car would arrive in mid to late May so I didn't want to wait for 6-8 weeks or even longer.

It's hard to wait. It can be exciting also. It killed me to wait 8 weeks for mine, but was exciting to track it every step of the way via the Vin#. If they had exactly what I wanted I would take it, but for that money I wanted my build not theirs.
Haven't looked into leasing for quite some time, kind of forgetting the calcs. Believe I have them all right, except for MF into Finance charge formula - is it MF times 24 expressed in % terms? Much appreciate the help.

So after being confused about why my monthly payments came to be higher than the what I saw at edmunds, bankrate, I found out that Texas residents need to pay the full tax on the vehicle. Just saw a dealer yesterday and he is offering 0.0017 MF and 65% residual for the below vehicle:

The negotiated price seems reasonable, but the money factor is marked up the maximum (base MF is .00130).
Since Edmunds supplies invoice pricing, I'd love to see these deals listed with that in them. I try to start with invoice pricing and go up. When we start with MSRP and go down it gives the dealer a bigger advantage right off the bat.

For BMW anything above 675 qualifies for the best MF.

No lease incentives that I'm aware of.
Generally, a discount of 5-7% off sticker is normal for BMW.
MF of .00150 is marked up - which dealer is allowed to do and you should work hard to negate.
Hi. Followup on my previous post. I negotiated with the dealer to get base MF and Acq fee. The bottom line is:
MSRP $42,500 + tax, title and license. Discounted price of $39,000 + tax, title and license. 36 months at 12,000 miles a year, 7.25% tax Total Drive Off $1,000
Monthly payment of 475$ (including tax). This is a factory order so I have to wait 6-8 weeks to get the car. Is this decent deal?
The dealer tells me that current offer is good till Wednesday at 6pm. Do you have any info on what May offers will be? Should I sign before Wednesday or wait for May offers?

With your MSRP and selling price, I calculate a pre-tax payment of $414/mo. (.00130 MF and 64% residual for 36/12). Not sure how they get to $475/mo with tax.
Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is - I suspect it's higher than the selling price as they are rolling in some of the fees.

That's correct, but I believe (from reading the paperwork) that the upfront cost also includes tax.
$3,000 down came to $550/month tax included. Seems way high to me based on some other offers in this thread.
Thanks. Here is a general question as well. What happens if you get into a minor accident when leasing and your vehicle is repaired at a body shop. Obviously the repair cost is covered by insurance or myself, but what about the value of the car being reduced because of being repaired? Do I need to pay extra at the end of my lease to cover that?

One of the benefits of leasing is that you aren't responsible for the value of the car at the end of the lease .. it's predetermined in the contract.
I've had the unfortunate experience of being in an accident with a leased car. Turned it in at the end of the lease .. no problem.

For BMW, it's .00130 * 2400 = 3.12%
