    Hi carenthusia85,
you were able to negotiate ~$5300 off MSRP before the $2K rebate? And also to confirm, is this rebate you reference for Audi loyalty, or owning a competing brand?

    Thanks!
    Brian

Yes through a supplier discount I get. The $2K rebate was for new customer acquisition and also owning a competing brand.

    Hello Moderator:

I have the following deal, can you let me know if it's a good deal please:

2016 Audi A6 Prestige. MSRP $66,120. Final sell price of $58,830 (including 2K rebates). 42 months, 12k miles a year with $3,000 down + $3663.61 (taxes and fees). Monthly payment of $655 in the state of VA.

We don't recommend putting money down on a lease ... if the car is stolen or totaled, you lose that money.

Using your numbers, I get a payment of $833/mo without the down payment. $3000 down would reduce that by about $71.

Not sure how the dealer is getting to $655, but that looks like a smoking deal compared to my numbers.

    Looks like a lot.

(but, I drive a Hyundai, so there's that)

Missing some information - MSRP, Selling Price, miles per year.

Is it $0 down or $0 out of pocket? Big difference between the two.

Don't have all of the details. This is what I have, and I'm picking up the car tomorrow.

A6 Premium Plus with Cold Weather Package, all weather mats, and metallic paint. 36 month lease with 12K miles per year. Zero down. Taxes are 8.5% per month. Total payment with tax is $699. It seems like a good deal to me, but what do I know.
  • wrenromewrenrome Member Posts: 15
That's zero down, and zero out of pocket.

Well I'm content so long as it's a good deal. I haven't signed yet, so there's still an opportunity to negotiate. But it seems like a good deal to me. I was trying to see what your opinion was. It's a 2016, by the way. I left that out.

Hard to give an opinion when we don't know the MSRP or the selling price.

Msrp is 54680 plus 695 acquisition. There's 1800 in dealer contribution. Payment is 640 before monthly taxes for 36 mo 12000 miles per year no money down or out of pocket from me.

    That's all I have.

So, net cap cost is $53,575. Using the MSRP listed along with 2.0T Q Prem Plus lease numbers of .00092 and 57% (36/12) I get a pre-tax payment of $700/mo.

I'm guessing there are additional discounts applied that is bringing your payment down to $640/mo before tax.

Yes, the current Audi numbers are good through 10/1. However, Audi may update them this week; we've seen that before.

Can I get the August MF and residual value for 2015 A6 3.0T Premium Plus, considering a 36 month/12k miles lease option? Also, what are the current incentives/rebates being offered on this vehicle?
I am going to negotiate with a dealer today, and would like to have this information upfront so they do not mark up the numbers. Appreciate your prompt response.

The current Audi numbers are valid until 10/1, but new numbers may be available later this week.

Thank you moderator for the MF and RV. It is very timely. Here is the deal I got on 2015 A6 3.0T Premium Plus with Drivers Assistance Package, LED headlights, 19/20" sport package, warm weather package, Bose surround sound. Lease is for 36months/12k miles:
    MSRP: $63750
Gross cap cost: $55200 (includes $695 acquisition fee)
    Adjusted Cap cost: $53112
MF: 0.00006 -> dealer initially said MF is 0.00126
    RV: 52%
The above includes $3500 in rebate (I am a current Infiniti owner, so was able to get $1000 competitor rebate).

Due at signing: $600 (1st month payment).
Monthly payment: $605 (including tax). I am in AZ, tax rate is ~8%.
    What do you think?

Doesn't look like that good of a deal if you gave them $7500 at signing. The taxes and fees add up to $4,992.66, so the other $2500 or so was a down payment. VA charges tax against the entire selling price, so you can't avoid that.

How many miles a year did you get?

And, can you be more specific about the warranty you got?

Sure. It is 10,000 miles per year. The warranty is for oil change and all the services, which means during the lease period, I don't have to pay for regular maintenance services.

A leasing expert is looking for a new car shopper in the Seattle area who needs help navigating the leasing process. The expert will help you go through the leasing process from start to finish for free in exchange for taking a few pictures and/or video of the experience with leasing a new car using an iPhone app. If interested, please send an email to stever@edmunds.com.

AudiCare? If so, that adds 1% to the residual value.

Lease numbers for 42/10 on the 2016 A6 3.0T Premium plus are .00089 and 52%.

Using your MSRP and net cap cost, I calculate a payment of $809.19/mo. If I back out the $2500 down payment, the payment drops to $749.66. If your payment is $659.98, then there is something else going on with the prices you've shared.

    Dear Moderator,
I just reserved a new 2016 Audi A6 3.0T with S line, LED, Warm and Cold packages, black optic package. The MSRP is $63825 including destination charge. I could not remember the actual selling price but I think it was $58600.
The deal I got is $3000 down and $700 / per month. This is in NJ. Would you have the MF and the RV please?
Do you think it is a good deal. Sorry that I do not have more information it is my first time I am leasing a car. I believe that the $700 included taxes.
Thanks a lot for your help

If this is the premium plus trim level, the lease numbers are .00069 and 55%. Using the MSRP and selling prices provided, I get a payment of $717.33. I assume that some of that $3000 up front is going to a down payment, which is why your payment is only $700/mo.

Looks like a decent deal from here.

A full breakdown of the $3000 will help clarify everything.

Thank you Moderator - Yes this is a Premium plus. So the number for August on a 2016 Audi A6 are MF = 0.00069 and residual 55%. I thought 56% was the residual and +1% with Audi care.
Also the $717.33 you got is without the taxes right?

55% is the "base" residual - add 1% for AudiCare

I assume that part of the $3000 due at signing would cover your tax obligation - NJ calculates and collects lease taxes up front.

Hi Moderator, I am in FL and I test drove a 2016 S6 Prestige trim with a price tag of 89K over the weekend. I didn't like the color and I made the mistake to tell the salesperson that so he wouldn't give hard numbers as I wasn't going to buy this particular car. I would like to know if you could help me figure out what is the current lease offers for this car assuming we can negotiate 4-6% off the asking?(Is it too much to negotiate?) I usually get 36/12K and the car I am looking for is exactly the one described above but in a different color. Let me know

Due at signing is the bank fee, dealer fee, first month's payment and any state imposed license or tag costs.

Residual is set by the bank and cannot be modified. MF is the base rate from AFS; the only way to go lower is to use MSD.

Question, I'm being offered 2K off of dealer invoice for any A6 on the lot until month-end (when the dealer is moving locations). Is this a solid offer? Also, if so, what resources should I use to make sure that the dealer invoice that they are quoting is 100% accurate.

Can't tell you how strong an offer it is, but you can use the Edmunds pricing tools at the top of the page to get the invoice and TMV prices. Make / model / year pull downs.

I live in VA and am looking at leasing a 2016 Audi A6 3.0T Quattro with the following options, moonlight blue exterior, S line sport package, LED headlights, BOSE surround, and the cold weather package. Is it a realistic goal to not pay anything up front with the exception of VA taxes? Also , can you give me a sense of what a good target should be for the total purchase price, residual value and money factor? Thanks!

Bank fee, dealer fee, state tag/license costs, plus some other small state-mandated fees.

You'll need to cover the first monthly payment at signing, but everything else (I think) can be rolled into the lease.

What trim level? What lease term and miles per year?

It's the 3.0 Premium Plus trim. Term would be 36 months and likely 10k miles/year. I was told that Audi allows you to buy up the miles at the 18 month mark if needed for the same price you would pay at the inception of the lease, is that correct and would you recommend starting with the lower miles even if you expect to be closer to the 12k or even 15k mark per year?

    .00069 and 53% for 36/15. Add 2% for 12K or 3% for 10K

It's always cheaper to get the miles ahead of time. If you think you'll drive 15,000 miles a year get the 15K lease option - will cost you more to buy the miles, even halfway through the lease.

Buying extra miles at inception, on a per-mile basis, can only be done on a 15K/yr lease. You may be able to purchase them later, as noted.

Otherwise, you just take the next mileage allowance up... and, those are usually much cheaper than the per-mile rate..

So, if you think you will be over 10K/yr... just take the 12K/yr. On a $55K vehicle, that's only $550 for 6000 miles. (9.2 cents/mile).
