Great discussion and timely. I am in the market for a lease myself and I am being offered the following terms:

    Q7 Premium Plus
    >MSRP $58,105
    >Sale Price $54,039
    >39 Mos lease/15k
    >MF 0.00149
    >Residual 50%
    >lease is $764.95 per month plus tax
    >$2500 down at signing includes start up fees, first payment, and registration fees

Based on the MF seen here this appears high...no? Credit scores 795 highest and 757 the lowest with transition. Any suggestions/comments much appreciated. Thanks.

    .00099 MF and 50% residual.

They are marking up the MF for extra profit.

The calculations are good. If they used the base MF, the payment would drop to $723.mo.+tax

Hi. I am looking to switch into a Q7 Premium Plus lease. I currently have 6 payments left on my Q5, I have a total of 3,532.98 left on the Q5. Ive spoken to two different Audi Dealers. Dealer A said if I can come up with 5,000 down, I can walk away with a Premium Plus with Offroad package for 599/mo, 36 months, 10k miles/yr. Dealer B said I can get a Premium Plus w/ cold weather package, a wheel option of 800, and some wheel locks, all weather mats, and aid kit that comes with car at a cost. Im not sure if I can reject those items.

SO dealer B says the car can be mine for 589/mo., with 5,000 down. Total MSRP with all options is 57,925. He is selling to me at 50,500. No money factor is given, or residual value. Does this seem like a good deal? I got ripped of for my Q5. The 5,000 down is going to cover all my upfront fees, tax, title, aquisition fee, etc. Im hoping the incentives are included, 1500 loyalty, and up to 1000 season of audi bonus. Both dealerships said this include me gettign out of my lease and into a new one. They will "take care" of my current lease payments. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP. What should I ask the dealer?

Here is a better break down:

    Dealer A
    599/mo - 36 mo. 10k/yr
$5000 down - Include all up front fees, tax, title, dmv, first month payment

    Dealer B
    589/mo - 39 mo. 10k/yr
$5000 down - same as above
    MSRP - $57,925
    Sale Price - $50,500

Im not sure if they are incorporating the current lease payoff into the new lease price.

Your $5000 upfront is probably covering your negative equity in the current Audi. If you trade early, you are basically making those 6 payments for nothing.

Yup, I was able to figure out the numbers based on your MF and residual provided above. Only concern I have is, the dealer said the residual is 53%, for 39 month, 10k miles/ yr. If i use your residual of 55%, the payments equal exactly 589.88. If I use 53%, the payments come out to 621.xx/ month. Please verify my numbers if you can.

If I am paying 3533 up front for the negative equity in the current lease, can't I consider the 2500 incentive total as a "credit" towards the new Q7.

Both dealers did not mention at all the 5,000 down is covering the negative equity. (being slick). I doubt 1033 left over from the 5,000 down covers all the upfront fees.

But even for 589/mo, is that still a good price.

    53% is the 39/10 residual, .00099 MF

    55% is the 36/10 residual, .00079 MF

I show $596/mo.+tax. But, didn't allow for acquisition fee or any other costs, so looks like that's about right.

No markups to the money factor and that's a big discount.. Other than just asking for a better deal, not sure what else you can do.

Any guess at how the residual may change for the 2017 Q7? Does it typically go up for a newly refreshed model? Trying to decide whether it's worth waiting for the new version next month before making a decision.

Are the above 36/15 figures still correct for January on a 2015 Q7 Premium Plus? My dealer has a bunch of leftover 2015's - I'm assuming they're going to be desperate to get rid of them.

Thanks for all the help so far and sorry to ask so many questions. I assume for the S-Line Prestige, it would be the same MF as shown above for 24/15 and 36/15, but with a comically low residual value?

We need the CAP cost including tax, acquisition fee, doc/title fees, then minus the portion of the $5000 that is CAP cost reduction. That should be the adjusted or net cap cost.

    Michaell / kyfdx,

Does Audi still offer leases for the 2015 Q7?

If so can you please list the new August numbers for all trim levels for the following terms in PA?

    15K/39 months
    15K/36 months

    Thanks!
