with the 2000 lease cash and (additional $250 for current ford lessee) along with a .50% APR, makes it seem like a good time to buy a 2015. Dealers aren't discounting more than 2000-2500 off MSRP though.

Do you have MF/residual for 2015 AND 2016 Edge Titanium? 3 yr/45k miles? And what's lease acquisition fee? Also I saw something about a 2k lease cash above but can't find it on Ford site--what are the restrictions, if any, for this? . Thanks in advance.

Just ran across a $2750 lease incentive that I think is only for the 2015 Edge SEL AWD. Can anyone confirm? And are the residuals and MFs for 2015 Edge SeL AWD 6 cyl the same as the Titanium? 36 mo/45k mile I mean. Here's what was posted earlier

Zero Drive off, Monthly payment is 359+ tax (9% in LA)....

36 month (35 payments)/10500 miles per year.

Also, is the 2016 much different aside from infotainment system?

Question - if I were to buy a 2015 Demo Edge, punched in May of 2015, 5000 miles but untitled, does the residual change because of the mileage on it? If yes, then by how much? I know some manufacturers do this, was wondering if Ford does. It's like pulling teeth to get anything out of Ford Finance, they repeat "ask the dealer" ad nauseum, and swear that there is NO interest and NO money factor on their leases, it is ZERO - so they have zero credibility with me.

In general, demo vehicles have the residual adjusted downward by .15-.25 per mile from the calculated residual.

Example - MSRP of $40K and a residual of 50%, but the car has 5000 miles on it. Residual would be:

($40,000 x 50%) - (5000 x .20) = $19,000

Check with multiple dealers to see if you get a consistent story from them.

Hopefully last question. We FINALLY got the deal we wanted, and are ending up with a 2015 Edge Titanium. Am considering MSDs (aka ASD). How much does each one take off my MF?

And I read on a Ford forum (the only info I could find, and it didn't give the amount) that if you do MSDs that Ford doesn't let you put any cash up front at all, so you have to roll in all fees, taxes, etc.

Can anyone provide specifics on the above? I'm not sure if it is even worth it with a 0.5% effective interest rate, but I want to at least look at it, because it's 0.5% on the entire vehicle cost, not just the rent, right?

We don't have any info on Ford MSDs.

As you note, with an interest rate of 0.50% APR, it wouldn't have much effect (if a program exists)

Ford doesnt have a MSD program. I tried the same... 0.50 % APR is already excellent. My suggestion to folks on the fence is pick up a 2015 while they are still available! The lease cash incentives are decent. and honestly, while Sync3 is an improvement in UI/speed, its not worth thousands more. Sync2/MFT works perfectly fine.

Hey, I'm good at tough questions, so here's another one - my last!! Hubby and I pulled the trigger and we're leasing our '15 Edge Titanium tomorrow. Usually we take title jointly. We're older, and hubby is concerned about what happens if he dies before lease-end, am I stuck? It's a good question - and we are thinking now of just doing the lease in hubby's name.

So my question - for a married couple in a non-community state (we're in Delaware) if lease is in husband's name alone and husband dies during the term of the lease, if the car is returned asap with no damage, no overdue payments, etc, etc are wife & estate off the hook?

I think that question is best put to legal counsel.

Not certain that leaving your name off the lease paperwork absolves you of responsibility - any financial obligations go to the estate (you, in this case).

Ford doesn't post any money factors other than for top tier credit.

2015 - .50% and $2000 lease cash. 53% residual
2016 - 1.75% and no lease cash. 58% residual

Residuals are for 36/12. Subtract 2% for 15K
