Just wanted to return to share our transaction info.
Ended up leasing a 2015 Accord EX-L sedan for $315/month (plus tax), with nothing down.
MF and residual just as stated above - .00051 and 57% on a 3/36k.
Cap Cost of $27,162 - which is basically dealer invoice less $250 (half of the lease cash), plus the $595 acq fee. Probably could've pushed it at another dealer for the extra $250, but based on how easy it was at this dealership, didn't feel it was worth it.
Hello. Can you please tell me the MF and residual on 2015 Honda EX-L V6 coupe 6MT without navi in California for 3years 12k per year. Am I correct there is 500 in lease cash.

Out of pocket is my first months payment of $250 and a transfer tax fee of $168.
I didn't calculate the selling price.
Let me know what you think about this deal. I'd be happy to share dealership name and contact. I have purchased several cars from this dealer over the past 10 years.

Hard to comment without knowing the MSRP and selling price.
Does anyone know what the tax rate for leasing is in NJ? I thought it was the normal 7% sales tax but I have a dealer telling me it is 10%.
PA charges 3% extra on leases, but not NJ..
You pay the taxes for your home state, regardless of where you purchase.
Thank you, kyfdx. That is really interesting because I live in NJ, but I am purchasing the car from a PA dealer. I wonder if they are wrong to charge that extra 3% or if they have to because I am coming into PA?
Do you know that answer and where I could find that in writing so I could show it to the dealer?

I don't know the answer... except that NJ charges tax upfront and PA charges monthly. If you are registering the car in NJ, you won't pay PA tax. If they don't know how to calculate the tax, then Honda Finance will.
In other words, it's not just the amount of the tax, it's how the tax is collected, as well.. They don't have a choice in how they do it... maybe, they don't normally deal with NJ buyers?
Hi. Could you please provide the December money factor and residual percentage for the big old state of Rhode Island for the 2015 Honda Accord LX with 10K miles per year? I am also looking to get a better deal than the advertised lease deal. Also, is that $1,500 lease cash available in RI & MA as well?
Also, do these factors change depending on which state the vehicle is purchased in or where the lessee resides? Thanks in advance!
36/10 residual for the 2015 Accord LX is 60%.
MF is .00051 and $500 lease cash, nationally. $1500 lease cash is for 2014 model year.
Thanks! I'll see what I can get done with these figures.
Any thoughts on this offer? Let me know if I am leaving out anything necessary to make a comment.
NJ resident leasing the car from a PA dealer
2015 Accord Sedan V6 no Navigation 36 months, 12,000 miles year MSRP: 31,315 Email Price: 27,509 Doc fee: 133 Bank fee: 595 Lic/Reg: 600 - cannot get straight answer on this but more than one have quoted this same high price
3 PA dealers have said the tax needs to be 10% even though NJ has a 7% rate. I was going to call Honda Financial today to see if I could get an answer but they are closed.
Offer from dealer is $345 with 0 down at signing
Thanks for any insight you might have. I am also waiting on a better offer for a 4 cyl EXL with navi

Is that $0 down or $0 out of pocket, meaning all taxes and fees are being rolled into the cap cost?
Yes, everything rolled in and first payment on day of signing is 0. So basically it is 35 payments of $345.
I was updated that tax is 7%, not 10%.
That's not bad, but check to ensure that your price quote includes the $500 lease cash available as well as getting the base MF of .00051.
I've asked another member to pop in and comment on the NJ / PA issues - he just leased a Hyundai from a dealer in PA while living in NJ, so he's got first hand experience with the questions you've got.
Thanks - yes, MF of .00051 is used and dealer said all incentives are included in the price given of 27509.
So it was 2015 Accord sedan EXL V6 no navi, MSRP of 31315, MF of .00051, Internet price given at 27509, bank fee 595, doc fee 133, and tags/reg at 600. Tax is 7% confirmed - not the 10% charged to PA residents. No dealer installed options.
0 down, 35 additional payments of $345.
"Not bad" sounds luke warm What would be a good target as they do not seem to want to budge here. Dealer said this was 1800 under invoice...
Thanks again to everyone helping - I appreciate it as I am a babe in the woods with this stuff!
That would be me. I would have to pull the paperwork out to do the math to make sure, but I am positive that I just paid the 7% NJ tax. Basically, it was exactly like I did the deal in NJ. They collected NJ tax, and registered it in NJ, so I got Jersey plates and registration. Dealers close to NJ are used to doing this, and basically are authorized with NJ too, same as a dealer in the state, to take care of the DMV and tax work.
Might be different if you were getting it from a dealer not close to NJ. Mine was in Philly, so they do a lot of Jersey deals.
Jersey does collect tax up front, so that was part of the up front fees. A good thing though is that PA had a lower doc fee, so I saved something there.
but overall buying in PA should not matter, since it is being registered to a Lessee in NJ.
$3,200 off on a 2015 sport? Dang, they came down fast. I was getting howls of pain from the dealer last month trying to convince them to do that on a 2014.
I should have tried a 6 speed Accord. might have tipped the scales.

Yes, the dealers are all right over the bridge in Philly. If I am rolling everything into the payment, does the tax collected up front affect my overall payment?
you can roll anything you want in up front, and yes it impacts your payment. That does not get added to the cap cost (same as the DMV stuff), so essentially you end up paying it in 36 e-z payments, with interest (at the money factor) of course. Generally these days the interest rate (MF) is so low, might as well just lump it into the payment.

OK, let me rephrase .. with a 36/10 residual of 57%, I get a payment of $352/mo with taxes so your quote of $345/mo looks real strong by comparison. I added in all the fees to the selling price to get the net cap cost.

If anyhing, it's better; lower residual means a higher payment, all else being equal.
that is a good deal. When I was shopping last month for a leftover 2014 EX, same exact terms (inc. 1K down) I was only able to get them down to about $257/mo. before they let me walk. Strong deal on a 2015 EX-L
Can someone please post RV and MF rates for a 2015 Accord Coup Ex, 4 banger? 3 years and 15k miles. Also, any lease incentives? Finally, anyone know of a good dealership in North Jersey? Thanks a ton.
