Hi all!

Wanted to see what the MF and RV would be for an Accord EXL 4 cyl 12/36 in GA. Also what the increase would be to go 15/36. Thanks in advance for the help!

36/15 for EXL is 53% - add 2% for 12K.

MF is .00029 with $500 lease cash.

Be advised that in GA you pay sales tax (ad valorem) on the entire selling price of the car; this will make your lease payments higher than other states.

Hmmm ... if I add 6.75% tax to your adjusted price, I get $26,311. With the MSRP, MF and residual provided, I get a payment of $296/mo.

Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is -- if higher than the $26,311 I get, ask the dealer why.

My guess is they are rolling in some fees to the selling price, but get them to break it down for you.

Can you please post the residual for a 2015 Accord Coupe V6 for 36 months/12K per. Does Navigation and/or Manual Transmission change the residuals. The car will be registered in FL.

52% residual. Subtract 2% for NAV equipped cars. Stick-shift has no effect on the numbers.

I attached the breakdown in an image below. I just email the dealer and they are saying a net cap cost of 27,471.70. I'll find out why it is so high. If you have any insight I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again for all the info!

This is in GA - sales tax (ad valorem) is applied against the entire selling price of the car. That's why your net cap cost is so high.

Numbers are the same.... for the LX and Sport, only $500 instead of $1250.

Also.. .$500 of bonus lease cash, for a total of $1000 on Sport.

nks Michael. I received their first quote on a 36/15 at $371 with zero down in CA. MSRP of $29,614 and sale price of $25,892.48.
Based on .00029 and 53% RV, I get 323.06. Am I missing something somewhere?

I get $295/mo.+tax.. But, have to account for acquisition fee, title/license, etc.

Thanks. They have $407 in fees, and includes a mileage penalty of .20 when moving to 15k miles. They roll $1,350 of penalty into the lease. Is this normal?

The residual should change if moving from 12k to 15k miles, no penalty.

36/36,000 in NJ. LX and Sport, both AT. Not sure what lease cash expired today if any, so whatever is in play through the end of the month.

$500 lease cash + $500 bonus lease cash. Both are good into July.

I'm pretty sure it has to be shown as a CAP cost reduction, but not positive. The only difference is that would make it taxable. Any quote probably has factored that money in, already.

What is the MSRP and selling price?

What state and tax rate?

Lease numbers for the EX Coupe 36/10 should be 56% (if 10K leases are available) and .00029 with $500 lease cash.

With your numbers, I'm getting $262/mo before tax. If your quote of $250/mo is after tax, you're doing quite well.

Yes. It includes tax.
But if i buy the car after lease term then i have to pay half the tax.

For extra $5 i took 3 year Honda maintenance plan and for $7 took internal and external protection plan.

So it came down to 262/month. Not sure how i did with all these extras.

I'm at a dilemma, I live in northern NJ and I'm currently leasing a 2013 Honda Civic that I got when I started college and had no real income and the lease is going to be up in 02/2016. The lease is for 36 months at 12k/year but I already have a little over 35,000 miles on the car with about 9 months left on the lease. I will be graduating soon and I also have more income now and was looking into getting an Accord but my question is should I wait until my lease is up or should I try to get into a new Accord lease now with an early turn in? What would be the cheapest option for me? Thanks!

They will work with you at Honda. Lots of accords to move. So go in and see what they come up with. Can do lots of creative accounting with a lease. Alternatively, just ride it out, and either buy civic out ( probably not cost efficient) or just pay the overage. I assume .15 mile? If so, 10,000 miles will cost $1,500, so about $125/mo. Could easily be cheaper to do that and at the end start fresh.

If you have a job, how many miles will you be putting on the car? Might not be a good idea to lease again anyway.

Thanks for your reply! The other problem I'd be facing is that I might have to pay for a brake and tire replacement soon before the time my lease is up and I don't want to invest that money in a car that I'm not going to be keeping on top of already paying the $0.15/mile over 36,000 and I was hoping to do a 15k/36mo lease on the Accord.

As I mentioned in the Altima thread, you should get a good grasp on the status of your Civic lease - get the payoff value and a trade value so the dealer can't pull any tricks on you.

Ask the dealer what the net cap cost is - if higher than the selling price, make them explain how they got there.

It's .00029. Doing the calculations in reverse will give you a slightly off number, due to rounding.

Seems he could have just told you what it was..
