I qualify for no incentives (I'm assuming). My brother owns a Hyundai, if that matters. The money factor of .00087 is what is killing me.

If a dealer discounts a car $5k off msrp, do you think I would get the $3500 lease cash off that discounted amount? Or do you think they are going to say it's already included in the $5k discount?

My guess is that the lease cash is already factored into that discount. However, it can't ever hurt to ask for more of a discount.

I am surprised that the 2016 residuals are so low (by historical standards) and the lease cash is so high for the 2016. Not a good omen for the Sonata; time will tell...

Yep, I agree.

I just checked www.carcomplaints.org and noticed a lot of owners are having issues with loss of engine power. I'm sure Hyundai is aware that the complaints are going to be increasing exponentially and they’re trying to get rid of as many units as possible before sales suffer.

Hyundai dealers don't often markup their rates (though, it could happen). Just ask them.
