Hello - I'm looking to lease a 2015 QX60 12k/yr 39mos - what is the MF and residual in NJ? Does the my state matter or are the numbers national? Do these values change often? I see MF and residual previously posted but I'd guess MF varies as does residual over time. Thanks!

"cash cap reduction " ( not sure what this is ? ) $ 1500 Cash down ( 1st month payment and acquisition fee as per dealer , but does not match my calculation ) $ 1500 I have not committed to any down payment other than 1st month payment and acquisition fee
Net cap cost 52,500
MF 0.00060 and RV 54 %
monthly payment as quoted by the dealer $ 611 (inclusive of tax )
This is all as is on the Lease proposal work sheet and this is in KY with sales tax of 6 %

Using the numbers provided, I too get $611/mo.
However, I'm not sure how the dealer is going from the $56,056 gross cap to the $52,500 net cap ... get the dealer to explain that to you.
There might be an incentive included in their calculations.

Does this sound like a fair/reasonable deal ?
I am also not sure how they did it and brought the net cap to $ 52,500 from gross cap of $ 56,056. "Cash down " of $1500 was a red flag for me ( but he said this was the amount paid at sign on as mentioned above ) - will clarify with the dealer . I am not sure of what is " cash cap reduction " ? please explain To me title and regis fee of $1244 was bit higher than usual , any thoughts on that ? I am using the calculator on http://leasehackr.com/calculator/ and getting higher monthly payment if use 54 % as RV . Please advise on this also Thank you for the input

There are some up front costs associated with a lease - bank fee, dealer fee, first payment, DMV costs. That could account for the $1500.
Cash cap reduction is the same as a down payment.
Can't help you with any on-line calculator ... they often make assumptions we know nothing about. I have my own spreadsheet based calculator - you can build your own, too:
This is what I am getting for Qx60 AWD , technology with deluxe touring and theater , 2015 model
lease terms 39/15 k miles per year
MSRP 59,275
Selling price 54,000
"Title and registration fee " 1244.00
"processing fee " 22.00
Acquisition fee 700.00
Gross Cap cost 56,056
Residual value 32,008

I have been attempting to make a deal with a local dealer. I currently lease an Infiniti and have about 6 months left. It started out really crazy high. This is where we stand right now 2015 QX60 premium plus msrp on sticker is $50325 39/12K $1800 out of pocket $499 monthly including tax
I don't have specific numbers from them yet. I am trying for zero out of pocket to cover first month and fees, and $499 per month including tax. I am in Florida. What do you think of this deal so far. They are saying cannot go any lower.

Would need to know the negotiated cap cost, but if you are rolling all the up front costs into the lease, the payment will naturally be higher.
What about MF and Residuals for 2015 QX60. AWD and FWD, both premium & premium plus for 10K/39m. Also have the rebates, incentives, etc. changed from February. My understanding was that MF, residuals and incentives from Feb will continue into March. Maybe now that 2016 is out, they are giving additional incentives/rebates on 2015 (ignoring that dealers will get more aggressive on pricing to get rid of 2015s quickly)?

I am getting following deal for QX 60 AWD 2015 , touring with technology package
term 39 months , 15000 miles per year
MSRP 59275
Sales price 51724.25
Title & reg fee 1244.00
processing fee 22.00
Acquisition fee 700.00
Gross cap cost 53690.25
Residual 32008
Cash cap reduction - 570.99
Cash Down ( i.e. first month payment + "Acquisition fee" ) 1300
Net Cap Cost 52,295.24
sales tax 6%
Monthly payment 605 / month
How does this look ? Is this a reasonable price for this vehicle ?
I cannot make the dealer explain why they are including Acquisition fee in Gross cap cost above when i am paying it upfront ? Any thoughts ?
Thank you
Seems like a decent deal but there should be exceptional deals right now on this car. If they can't explain it then they're double charging you and it would be about $18 per month for the $700. I'm trying to work a deal on the same build but my goal is 500 a month for 12k but who knows if I'll get it. Also my tax is 4.1%. Take a look at the qx60 thread on leasehackr.com too. Def seems like you could do better but this isn't terrible either

Thank you motwo22 . I did check the leasehackr website . the thing is I am getting the color combination I preferred with all the features I want and it is very close to me. I looked at other dealers in nearby states and they have quoted prices between 630-650 range for premium plus with drivers assist and theater package. They are not willing to negotiate much because they still have to get it from another dealer and I think they will not be interested in going and get it at a lower price since it is 2015 model. that's just a thought. I was hoping for about 575-585 range ideally with tax included though The other thing I figured out was that it Acquisition is included in selling price but then it is counted towards cash down at signing which brings down the Net cap cost to 52,295.24
Gross cap cost 53690.25 - 1300 (cash due at signing-acquisition fee + 1st month payment ) = 52390 (still 100 dollars difference ) What do you think ?

So I finally got a dealer to bite on the exact pricing I was shooting for. Only downside is the exterior color is not my top choice (interior is dark though which would have been a deal breaker other wise). Keep in mind I'm doing this for 12k miles and my tax rate here in VA is 4.1% (but it is taxed on full price car, not just monthly), I was able to get them down to $510 a month on an MSRP of $59,275. On my way now, will report later if any surprises pop up or anything else goes wrong. If I get it, I'll post the details of all the numbers which can hopefully help you out.

yes please post it , all the best
So here are my final numbers, very surprisingly better than what I had discussed with them on the phone...I'm still scratching my head looking for the "catch";
2015 AWD qx60 for 39 months /12k miles per year MSRP = $59,340 Cap Cost = $47,111.6 Tax = $2078.79 Title/License/Registration = $67.75 Acquisition Fee = $700 Infinity Service Contract (maintenance) = $1685 Doc Fee = $599 Total Gross Cap Cost = $52,251.14 Residual = $33,230.40 (56%) Depreciation = $19020.74 Rent Charge = $333.40 Total Of base monthly Payments = $19,354.14 Number of payments = 39 MONTHLY PAYMENT = $496.26
Due at sigining $3,246.26 which includes: - Refundable Security Deposit = $2750.00 (which dropped my Money Factor to .0001) - First Monthly Payment = $496.26
Disposition Fee = $395.00
Awesome experience with the dealership too. They are helping me get a few dings and scratches fixed up on my current leased car (Cadillac ATS through Ally Financial) also so I wont get hit for it on the turn in.

1. How did they come up with 2750 for MSD? Thats $458.33 per MSD unit when divided by 6. How did they calculate your MSD value? Was it based on pre or post MSD money factor?
2. You paid taxes on the entire amount of the MSRP, should only be paying it based the monthly depreciation value. In other words, your taxes should not be included in your total cap cost. This may be a VA thing though that you have to pay tax on the entire value of the car, I'm not sure?
I am currently working a deal and am confused as they are trying to base the MSD on the total monthly payment with the PRE-MSD money factor (.00061) instead of basing it on the post MSD money factor (.00001)
Does anyone know how the MSD is supposed to be calculated?

Keep in mind I'm doing this for 12k miles and my tax rate here in VA is 4.1% (but it is taxed on full price car, not just monthly), I was able to get them down to $510 a month on an MSRP of $59,275. This also includes infiniti premium maintenance thrown in, meaning there was probably another $15 or so room in the monthly without it. I am going to do 5 MSDs though to drop the MF down to .0001. On my way now, will report later if any surprises pop up or anything else goes wrong. If I get it, I'll post the details of all the numbers which can hopefully help you out.
yes please post it , all the best
So here are my final numbers, very surprisingly better than what I had discussed with them on the phone...I'm still scratching my head looking for the "catch";
There were 5 MSD payments of $550 each (they said 5 was the max to get down to .0001). MSD payments are calculated using the pre-MSD money factor rounded upto nearest $50. My pre-MSD payment was $539 I think so it was rounded up to $550.
I am having a hard time trying to figure out which amounts they taxed and why. But in VA you do pay tax on the full amount of the leased car unfortunately. And not only that, you also get a property tax bill yearly on it too

I believe VA is one of a handful of states that levies sales tax against the entire selling price, even on a lease (MD, GA and TX are the other states I'm aware of).
Are you at least able to write off the 'personal property tax' on your federal taxes? I know I can with them here in CO.

Yes, you can write off the property taxes. And you also do get a bit of a break when you first buy/lease the car. The normal tax rate is 6% here in VA but at purchase/lease you pay 4.1%.

I am close to closing my deal. However, they are telling me that when I trade in my car, which has equity, on the deal that I have to pay taxes on the equity. Example:
Trade in Equity $1,000 Pay $81 (8.15% in Nevada) They then roll the $81 into Net Cap.
Is this accurate? Why would I pay taxes on equity when I have already paid taxes on the car when I bought it?

You aren't paying tax on the equity exactly, you are paying the tax on the $1000 you are putting down on the lease, as that lowers the payment (thus lowering the tax paid to the government).

So in essence, you pay 100% of the taxes owed on the depreciated amount (in Nevada), I get it now, thanks. However, by placing the taxes owed ($81) into the Net Cap, aren't I then paying taxes monthly, on the tax amount that was placed in the Net Cap? Wouldn't it be advantageous to include the taxes ($81) in my drive off amount? This way I don't pay tax on tax. Correct?

Does the my state matter or are the numbers national? Do these values change often? I see MF and residual previously posted but I'd guess MF varies as does residual over time. Thanks!
What is the MF for 2015 QX60 39 / 15 k per year in KY
.00060 and 56%
Infiniti numbers are national.
Current numbers are valid through 3/31/16.

lease terms 39/15 k miles per year
MSRP 59,275
Selling price 54,000
"Title and registration fee " 1244.00
"processing fee " 22.00
Acquisition fee 700.00
Gross Cap cost 56,056
Residual value 32,008
"cash cap reduction " ( not sure what this is ? ) $ 1500
Cash down ( 1st month payment and acquisition fee as per dealer , but does not match my calculation ) $ 1500
I have not committed to any down payment other than 1st month payment and acquisition fee
Net cap cost 52,500
MF 0.00060 and RV 54 %
monthly payment as quoted by the dealer $ 611 (inclusive of tax )
This is all as is on the Lease proposal work sheet and this is in KY with sales tax of 6 %
Will appreciate input , thank you
However, I'm not sure how the dealer is going from the $56,056 gross cap to the $52,500 net cap ... get the dealer to explain that to you.
There might be an incentive included in their calculations.

I am also not sure how they did it and brought the net cap to $ 52,500 from gross cap of $ 56,056.
"Cash down " of $1500 was a red flag for me ( but he said this was the amount paid at sign on as mentioned above ) - will clarify with the dealer .
I am not sure of what is " cash cap reduction " ? please explain
To me title and regis fee of $1244 was bit higher than usual , any thoughts on that ?
I am using the calculator on http://leasehackr.com/calculator/ and getting higher monthly payment if use 54 % as RV . Please advise on this also
Thank you for the input
Cash cap reduction is the same as a down payment.
Can't help you with any on-line calculator ... they often make assumptions we know nothing about. I have my own spreadsheet based calculator - you can build your own, too:

2015 QX60 premium plus msrp on sticker is $50325
39/12K
$1800 out of pocket
$499 monthly including tax
I don't have specific numbers from them yet. I am trying for zero out of pocket to cover first month and fees, and $499 per month including tax. I am in Florida. What do you think of this deal so far.
They are saying cannot go any lower.
Thanks for your input

How does this look ? Is this a reasonable price for this vehicle ?
I cannot make the dealer explain why they are including Acquisition fee in Gross cap cost above when i am paying it upfront ? Any thoughts ?

Thank you motwo22 . I did check the leasehackr website .
the thing is I am getting the color combination I preferred with all the features I want and it is very close to me.
I looked at other dealers in nearby states and they have quoted prices between 630-650 range for premium plus with drivers assist and theater package. They are not willing to negotiate much because they still have to get it from another dealer and I think they will not be interested in going and get it at a lower price since it is 2015 model. that's just a thought.
I was hoping for about 575-585 range ideally with tax included though
The other thing I figured out was that it Acquisition is included in selling price but then it is counted towards cash down at signing which brings down the Net cap cost to 52,295.24
Gross cap cost 53690.25 - 1300 (cash due at signing-acquisition fee + 1st month payment ) = 52390 (still 100 dollars difference )
What do you think ?

So I finally got a dealer to bite on the exact pricing I was shooting for. Only downside is the exterior color is not my top choice (interior is dark though which would have been a deal breaker other wise). Keep in mind I'm doing this for 12k miles and my tax rate here in VA is 4.1% (but it is taxed on full price car, not just monthly), I was able to get them down to $510 a month on an MSRP of $59,275.
I used the calculator http://www.edmunds.com/car-leasing/calculate-your-own-lease-payment.html
and with MSRP of 59275, Net cap cost of 52,295.24 , residual of 54 % (32008 ) , MF of 0.00060 my payment comes to 605 (including 6% tax )
am I missing something , please advise .
My apologies.

Can you tell me the March residual and MF for a 15' qx60 with all 5 packages at 12k and 15k for 36 and 39 months. I'm in Nevada if that's relevant.
Thank you Mike!

2015 AWD qx60 for 39 months /12k miles per year
MSRP = $59,340
Cap Cost = $47,111.6
Tax = $2078.79
Title/License/Registration = $67.75
Acquisition Fee = $700
Infinity Service Contract (maintenance) = $1685
Doc Fee = $599
Total Gross Cap Cost = $52,251.14
Residual = $33,230.40 (56%)
Depreciation = $19020.74
Rent Charge = $333.40
Total Of base monthly Payments = $19,354.14
Number of payments = 39
MONTHLY PAYMENT = $496.26
Due at sigining $3,246.26 which includes:
- Refundable Security Deposit = $2750.00 (which dropped my Money Factor to .0001)
- First Monthly Payment = $496.26
Disposition Fee = $395.00
Awesome experience with the dealership too. They are helping me get a few dings and scratches fixed up on my current leased car (Cadillac ATS through Ally Financial) also so I wont get hit for it on the turn in.
I am having a hard time trying to figure out which amounts they taxed and why. But in VA you do pay tax on the full amount of the leased car unfortunately. And not only that, you also get a property tax bill yearly on it too
Are you at least able to write off the 'personal property tax' on your federal taxes? I know I can with them here in CO.

Michael
I am close to closing my deal. However, they are telling me that when I trade in my car, which has equity, on the deal that I have to pay taxes on the equity. Example:
Trade in Equity $1,000
Pay $81 (8.15% in Nevada) They then roll the $81 into Net Cap.
Is this accurate? Why would I pay taxes on equity when I have already paid taxes on the car when I bought it?
Thanks
