for the black leather interior, of course it will be hot but then it also looks awesome with a black exterior. my TL is black on black and it's a head turner
They gave me a Internet quote $26,1XX NONAVI auto. But OTD was about $28,8XX.
Actually, This is not a bad price but I have expected under 28,000, so I need to pay 1000 more. The dealer said they don't have many TSX in their stocks so they don't have any reason to provide special discounts. I belive that is true. Recently, Honda is not producing many TSXs because they are focusing on TL.
After I was disppoined at the price, I have visited Honda to make a test drive of Accord. Recently, accord gives pretty good deal as new camry came out. I test drove V4 not V6, but it engine was pretty good. The engine sound was rather loud but OK to me. Even it is not so powerful as TSX which is using the same engine with higher HP tuned. The interier is rather cheap with less options like voice recognizion, I don't know if I really need to pay $5000 extra money to get Acura.
As you know, Japan Accord is US TSX and US accord is sold in Japan with higher price than TSX with different name, however, their interier are switched between. I got a Accord quote EX-V V4, $23,300 OTD price. I may go for Accord because my wife will be upset if she knows I will paid 5000 more to get a smaller car.
Now I am considering Accord V6 and Camry, I think OTD aroung $25,500 will be possible with Leather, sunloop and 17inch wheel Accord. Would this be a better choice than TSX? And TSX will have model change in 2008, that is another minus point.
$27,400.00 - Price
$ 160.00 - Wheel Locks and Mud Guard
$ 45.00 - DMV Documentation
$ 2,139.00 - Riverside Sales Tax 7.75%
$ 8.75 - State Tire Fee
$ 243.00 - DMV License Fee
----------------
$29,995.75 - Out the Door Price
I called Acura Escondido and Acura Glendale to try and see if they could beat this price and was told to accept this one. I think I made a good deal ($312 less invoice if i'm not mistaken). What do you all think? :shades:

I was out in a cabin in Illinois over the last 5 days, and it was in the 90s the whole time; not a cloud in the sky. I never had a problem with the heat in the car - again, this is WITH tinted windows - and the remote window roll-down made this even less of a problem as it got the immediate heat out. It's not that the seats weren't warm, but they were very bearable.
The only problem I had with the heat was the shifter (I got a manual). It gets QUITE hot, but not so bad that it burned me.
One last note: the dealer wouldn't work the tinting into the deal, but that was this particular deal. Don't know how other dealers would be, but I'd think that anything like that they DON'T do themselves, they won't work into the deal.
Can you tell which dealership gave you this quote? Looks like a very good OTD price.
We got a dealership quote for TSX Auto w/o Navi for 26,552 (includes destination) + TTL at Plaza Auto Mall in Brooklyn, and an Internet quote for 26,051 (not sure if it includes destination) + TTL from Springfield Acura in New Jersey.
They came back and said, you want to get cut right to the chase? $26,300.00 for the entire package minus the pinstriping which I would have to pay for (they farm out the job). I countered with $26,000 and they said NO. I agreed to the $26,300.00 but negoiated the pinstriping down to $89.00 cash. I told them I was skeptical about the car coming in. The sales manager told me he would call me everyday to tell me where the car was. It was supposed to come in on Tuesday the 27th and did actually come in on Wednesday the 28th. I picked up the car on Friday the 30th (last day of the month) and it was painless. Everything was done (all accessories installed) no heavy salesmanship for extras (window etching, extended warranty, etc.) and I was on the road !! Sorry about the long story, but we all know how this process can be painful and this is why this forum is such a valuable community service. Thanks for everybody's input because it helps us all.
PS. I do agree that through Edmunds forum people have been getting amazing deals on their cars! Thanks everyone! :shades:
I decided to wait a little bit before I buy, and weir canyon did promise to keep in contact, I must say I am very impressed with how they talk to me on the phone, but I am wondering if they offered you anything else.
So did Tustin accept your offer of $25,800?
So to answer your question in short, they made the offer, I passed. And I remember it being somewhere just under 28k out the door. I want to say it would of been 27,890 or something close to that
10,000mile
No navi / auto
This is a good price to buy?
I got a quote for a new TSX for $26,000 OTD $29,000
I can save $9,000.
I was to buy new accrod v6 $23,000. So I am confused.
Thanks.
yep, american honda does set those rates and you have to have close to excellent credit to be approved. my husband and i got our other acura for 3.9% APR for 72 mos and i thought that was an amazing rate. i have heard though from quite a lot of dealers that it would be impossible to have 3.9% again this year. Good luck!
PS. Check out Cerritos Acura too when you have enough downpayment to buy this car. They also offered me a low price.
PSS. Check out these websites that helped me get a good deal with the TSX. They always try to match it if it's reasonable. http://www.handa-accessories.com/tsx.html and http://www.acuracarewarranty.com/plans.asp?miles=0-6&year=2006&model=TSX&state=C- A&com=no&inservice=48
Excellent $24,145
Good $22,890
Fair $21,115
Looks good to me. The question is: Was it well-maintained eventhough it only has 10,000miles on it? Good luck!
but now i definetly want it. Also can you tell me if your cames with the ipod hook up. He told me it was included, but I was a bit skeptical since I couldnt really test it (did not have my ipod with me) and acura's website says its about 500 bucks or so. I was also skeptical because my friend was told it was installed on his new civic, but it wasnt.

about the ipod hookup, it does have a built-in auxiliary jack where you can plug in an mp3 player or ipod. i haven't tried it myself but i'm sure it works since it's already installed. it's located in the center console between the front seats. the $500 ipod music link is different in a way that the Acura Music Link allows drivers to select their music by artist, album, genre and play list through the standard controls on the audio system head unit. With the aux jack, you still have to select the music through your ipod.
I believe strongly in word-of-mouth recommendations, and based upon yours, I won't bother with Napleton, but may I ask, did they or the other dealers stock many 6-speeds? For a long time, their online inventory has shown only automatics.
My offer was for 200 under invoice, but looks like now I might be shoppping at South Coast Acura
I want to purchase with 2.9% financing and I am pretty sure I will not get that offer with 0 down. But I want to negotiate for it because I think its a good deal. This is after I was offered 27,741 for nav version and right at 30K out-the-door (northern California Stevens Creek Acura)
Should i ask for the protection package or any other extras? BTW this is in nortern jersey. Thanks.
Mike

I hope this helps whomever. I think I did a mediocre job bargaining. I spoke with a finanace person very quickly and he thought that I may have been able to take the base price down another hundred or two. That was good to know, but for me at least, that was not worth the time that would have taken. Guess the Atlanta market is pretty competitive right now. Okay, I appreciated those that did this for me, so I hope this helps all.
Thanks!
