I bought a 2005 TL AT no nav w/ 36 miles for $31871.70 OOD including protection package. Should have tried for lower price since nearing end of month and year and paid cash in full but oh well. Still happy with transaction. Happy shopping and Happy New Year!!
I've found this forum very helpful during the past couple of days so I thought I'd contribute. Just got an 06 TL Automatic without navigation for 32,950 OTD. Power Acura in Torrance, CA treated me well. internet sales was very pleasant. Only add-on was a Trunk Tray. Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks for the good reading.
Two weeks ago I bought a 2006 with Navi for $32819 including destination. This was after contacting and negotiating with several dealers in the area. Ended up getting it in Queens. Got Nighthawk Black with Ebony interior which was my first choice, but was on the lot. The professionalism of this dealer blew away a dealer in Westchester where I almost made my purchase.
I bought a white/parchment 06 TL with Nav, an Ipod adapter, wheel locks, truck tray and rear seat wood trim for $32,850 in Tustin, Calif today. I found this forum a great tool in negotiating. Thanks everyone.
I bought at Paragon in Woodside and didn't buy in Scarsdale. I hope this information helps you get a good deal. Let me know if I can help with anything else.
I am looking to buy a 05/06 TL w/ Navi in Jan. Does anyone has any pricing and buying experience in the Philly area + suburbs? Any dealership that I should stay away because of pre / post sales issues?
Just got home from the dealer in Arlington Heights..Dealt with internet sales all the way. Paid invoice plus $100...thats right, $100 OVER $33060 ( regional adv. at $140) + 100.....Plus TTL ____________________
Just bought a non-navi for $31,800 that included protection package, splash guards, and body side molding. Wasn't the absolute lowest price I've seen but they gave me a great deal for my trade, had the Anthracite/Quartz I wanted still in it's wrappers and got me 5.95% 72 month financing.
Don't have many Acura dealers too close to me, so this deal worked out OK. Bottom line - this site helped me determine what a good range of pricing would be. I wasn't gonna walk for a few hundred dollars.
Gotta go out in the garage and stare at my new toy. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Gonna be a prosperous one at that.
leadfoot6, Your deal is great and your A.P.R. is outstanding! Don't worry too much about the price. The car is worth in the 40K. There are added extras in owning an Acura (if this is your first) vice non-lux cars that will make up your could have/should have thoughts. LOL. Im doing the same thing. Now back to starring at my TL :P
My wife and I just picked up a 2006 Black/Black with navi and Protection Package from Piazza in Reading, PA for 32,600. I don't know if they will give you that kind of deal in Jan though, you will also lose out on the good financing. You may want to check Montgomeryville Acura, they seem to have pretty competitive prices.
Thanks. It is unfortunate that I am moving to Philly to start a new job in the middle of Jan. Trying not to buy it in Chicago before the move. I will keep the group posted on the OTD price.
BTW, what's your opinion on the service (pre and post) from either Piazza or Montgomeryville?
06 TL w/Navi, Ipod adapter, wheel locks, trunk tray, and a rear A/C vent wood trim piece was $32,850 before TT&L. I bought it at Tustin Acura in Tustin, CA.
My $31800 did include a few hundred dollars of accessories. It could have been lower, but they valued my trade in the 'excellent condition' bracket, which it wasn't. So instead of lowering the price to say $31000 they increased my trade by $800. Saved a little in sales tax.
We don't have 5 Acura dealers within a small radius around here. You gotta kinda take what you get, especially selection-wise. I'm keeping the car 5-6 years anyway, so a few hundred ain't no big deal.
Your deal of $31800 is similar to my findings. If you have a trade-in there definitely isn't as much leverage in getting the best possible price since the car price and their offer for your trade are both negotiating points.
I couldn't get a good number for my trade (damn American vehicle) so I'll have to wait another year or so til the numbers work out.
Same here. I got a great deal on my '05 TL a year ago, but really screwed myself by trading in my "damn American vehicle." Which I really liked, but the new car itch just had to be scratched...
I'm happy! And Happy New Year!
Go Pats, three-peat!!!

Just bought '06 TL No Navi for $31,250 plus TTL. Anyone shopping tomorrow should know that they can probably get it for a few hundred less. I paid the extra because dealer is more convenient than the others. Picking up the new wheels in a few days. Info on this forum was very helpful. Thanks to all and Happy New Year!
Your feedback was very helpful. Ironically, I had a more frustrating experience with Paragon. They were very polite but no one would commit to a serious quote on the phone. Given that I was focused on spending as little time actually at dealerships this was a turn-off. Bottom line is that I probably coulh have gotten a better price at Paragon but it wasn't worth the grief.
Looking forward to cruising in my TL. Thanks again for your help. Happy New Year!.
The dealer suggested $22,995 if I pay for it at a time in cash. And she insists it is a 'Certified Acura' car. Is it a reasonable price if I pay for it at a time in cash?
But I wonder whether it is truely a 'Certified Acura' car. How can I check it? Does car have some document proving it is a 'Certified Acura'? Or can I check it with its Vin#?
The salesperson working for Subaru has the car because previous owner traded in. Is it possible that the car is a 'Certified Acura' car even though it is located in the Subaru dealershop? I wonder they did the right job for posting 'Certified Acura' on the car at Subaru's shop.I don't know exactly what is 'Acura Certified'. What is it?
..... If it's clean, the history and the service is 110% and the CPO is in play ... then the dealer probably dropped the tall $18's low low $19's in it ...
Nice vehicles .. but $22,900 might be a little stiff, even with the tiny miles and the "S" stuff .... properly done, you could probably get it in your driveway for $21ish and some change ......
Good luck and let us know ..........
Terry.
PS: you pull the Vin# at the Acura service department it will show the CPO.
this site was very helpful to me, so i thought i would post my deal--acura TL w/o Nav--$30,600 including wheel locks. I bought it w/ the 4.9% financing from westchester, pa. I did this at the end of december.
Sounds like a great deal. I'm in Cleveland and couldn't find a local dealer who would do an 06 non-nav for under 31.5. So I bought a new 05 non-nav w/150 miles for 29.700. Love it so far, but still feel the deal could have been better. No trade in.
30,600 is $400 below invoice ...thats an excellent deal.
i went back to the dealership with a friend yesterday and he bought one at 30,500, got a set of mud guards thrown in too. traded in his Accord because this TL deal is too sweet to pass up. i can't remember the car ever selling under invoice and with the 2.9% financing deal for 36 months its the icing on the cake.
Got a quote for $200 under the invoice for TL w/nav from the manager at sussman acura. Not sure if there is any hidden fee. Anyways, have to pass the car, cause my wife still hates Japan cars.
I've been trying to find posts in the NY tri-state area for the past couple of weeks. (Is anybody buying TL's notin CA?) anyway the forum is a big help, just picked up an 06 TL W/navi $32,800.00 $34,650. OTD Wish I got more on my trade-in. Bought it on 12/29 I couldn't believe how busy the dealership was. But hey I'm happy. Thanks to all for the input.
Since you brought up Certified Pre-Owned, do you know if a dealer will give you more for your trade if they can sell it as CPO?
I have a 2002 RSX which I hope to trade in later this year for a TL. I have had all of my maintenance performed at the dealer I purchased from, it has low miles (nearing 29k for a 2002!) and is flawless in & out with the exception of a pretty deep scratch on the rear bumper cover (plastic).
I'm wondering if my car would qualify as CPO due to the bumper cover and the fact that, though my maintenance has been performed at the dealer, I have not done the 20k scheduled because they want $400+ to rotate the tires and change some filters.
I also wanted to thank those on this board for helping my in my search. Just landed an '06 TL, silver/ebony w/ navi and love it, everything I hoped for and more.
$32997 w/ destination $175 doc fee $989.91 NC state tax (3%) $69 tag OTD: $34,230
Purchased as Apple Tree Acura in Fletcher, NC outside of Asheville, NC. Had a great experience at the dealership when I picked up the car, very professional, straight shooters, very highly recommend them to anyone in the market.
Wow...I couldn't get anyone to deal in the Raleigh/Fayetteville area. Best quote I got was 34,900 OTD. I found Performance to be shady and dishonest. Twice they said they had the car I wanted only to find out they did not. I had a buying service contact them and they told the buying service I would have to order the car but they told me it was "ready for me to come down and take ownership". Needless to say, they will not get my business.
Very good deal! Can you tell me in more deatail your monthly payments and such! It will be very helpful since my sis *may* buy one exactly like that (but ext. is black) this weekend! THANKS
I wonder if Valencia Acura would get me the same deal or better? Since I live here in Valencia!
Congratulations on getting your TL. Don't worry about the price now- just enjoy it.
I am glad I was able to help you. Sorry about your experience at Paragon. That is the frustrating part about the internet sales process. I understand their reluctance to give prices over the phone, but they may lose customers because of this.
Paid in full. Total OTD was 35142.66. I added in mudguards and wheel locks for $170. Only Santa Monica and Glendale can offer me such deal. I recommend visiting both places.
I got my quote over phone from the manager. It is before the New Year and the loan APR could be 2.9% for 36 mon then. I am not sure if they still have that price now.

i used Open Road Acura in Wayne. couldn't have done the deal any faster.
they are anxious to move cars. if you are in NY or NJ, it may be an option. i think the deals end either tomorrow or on the 3rd of January.
thanks for the input everyone provided. i couldn't have negotiated the great deal without the power of knowledge and information.
