2 questions...
1. Is $28995 is a good price for a used 2005 w/nav and 15K miles?
2. Are dealer internet prices (ex. Autotrader, cars.com) still negotiable, or is that usually their final price?
BTW-this vehicle is in Wisconsin
Thanks in advance.
Did you check with any of the Dallas area dealers? There are more up here and the deals seem to be better than Houston or Austin (don't know about SA)...
However they are adding Pro Package for 220.
So the price is like this.
Price 32519
Pro Pack 220
Final Price 32739 (Before TTL)
Also this car has 125 miles although it's new.
So my question is: Is the price OK? And what about the 125miles? Is this adequate or is there something wrong with this car since it has high mileage on it?
Anyhow, I just got tired of finding these little nick marks and decided to take the vehicle home. The salesman offered to drop off my old vehicle to my home tomorrow as well.
So the OTD price for Black/Quartz TL w/ NAV/Protection Pack was 35000. All the other dealer around cincinnati area was at least 100 or 200 above invoice while Superior offered 300 below invoice. Also this dealer was closest and had the vehicle I wanted. Superior did offer all the vehicle on the lot for the same price that had less than 10 miles, but this was the only black with Nav.
I am very impressed with the interior and the Nav. The Car has class with enough boost to get the adrenalin rolling. It's black, so I will need to take care of my baby, but it looks SEXY.
Thanks all and happy hunting all.
Go to the dealerships who are higher in $$, show them the numbers you got from the lowest dealership, let them compete against each other. If they are within an hour ride from each other it should work fine. It did for me. You could save yourself hundreds of dollars. I know I did.
I live in Southern California and trying to get an idea of the title, license and other fees that will be added onto the final cost of the car. The tax is easy to figure out - just trying to get an estimate of the out the door cost all in.
Thanks in advance.
Ok, here's my offer:
33,500, seems to be the lowest any CT dealer wants to go. Is anyone else from this area and think this is the norm? According to Edmund's for my area, around $34,060 seems to be the TMV.
Just bought my Acura TL for 35,000 OTD. Black on black. Will pick up the car today. Am really excited...
Oh, BTW, highly recommend Montclair Acura. Contact the internet sales manager, had a really great experience with him, he is awesome.
Thanks a lot dmarcus

Here is what I got in an email from the Santa Monica dealership - an out the door price I had asked for.
$31,660.00
$ 45.00 DOC FEE
$ 285.00 LICENSE
$ 2,615.66 TAX
What part of Southern California are you looking for a car?
Hope this helps.
P.S. Got an email from a dealer that the special financing may come back for Memorial Day.
Larry
Was this price quote you received from Santa Monica with or without Nav?
Thanks
Tyler
Was with Nav. It was an email quote and did not actually sit down at the dealer to discuss the details. As you have read on some posts, what dealers say in email quotes may not always be what you get (my opinion) as actual price out the door.
If and when I get ready to buy, I would take a copy of this email with me to try and get that price.
Good luck, and lets hope special financing comes back.
Larry
I did ask them to throw in the all weather mats (the rubber ones) to my deal. They did. I didn't want the protection pack, so declined that. So, I did just a wee bit better on price, but nothing to get all "bent" about.
Superior's service has been....well....Superior. Quick in. Quick out. They've always been able to accomodate me the following day I call them and try to work around my schedule.
I like them.
I'm thinking of adding an RDX to the stable when it comes out. They will be the first phone call I make.

Did you get a good deal? Be sure to come back and share!

That was around November/December time frame, though.
I'm in Flemington and looking to purchase a non-Nav TL in the next few weeks as well. My best offer has been $30,600 to date. Where did you get the $32,280 quote from? DB
I was told via an email from a LA dealer that the special financing Acura had the whole month of April "may come back" for the Memorial Day weekend. Could be just a rumor as have not seen anything in the local papers yet. I too am waiting.
Larry
I'm looking for an automatic with Nav. What is the best price that anyone got in San Diego or Orange County (CA) ? Thank you for the replies.
THANKS!!!
I'm in LA and just got two emails from LA area dealers that special financing for western states Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington will run from May 25 - May 31st. 3.9% 25-48 months; 4.9 49-60 months.
Not sure what state you are in, but I would like to think if the western states are doing this, then elsewhere must be doing it also.
Hope this helps.
Larry
Hey, I also received a couple of emails from local LA dealerships about the special financing coming back for contracts written May 25th - May 31. Email mentioned only western states, but I would guess if the special financing is here, then must be everywhere.
Special financing broken down by 3.9% for 25-48 months; 4.9% for 49 -60 months. What rate are you trying to get?
Larry
I am looking to buy a tl this weekend and live in Santa Monica. Which LA dealership offered the special financing rate??
preeti.
The other Orlando dealership has emailed me an offer of $32900 (this is $76 over INVOICE), but with a dealer fee of $599.
I'm thinking of offering $35000 OTD w/ Protection Pack & Lip Spoiler. I think this is a good offer considering they have 13 Alabaster Silver, 5spd AT w/Nav IN STOCK.
got emails from Browning Acura and South Coast Acura, but it said applies to all California dealers. When I was looking to buy in April, through various emails, Santa Monica had the best offer.
Good luck and may see you this weekend at Santa Monica.
Larry
Is it from Santa Monica? I got an offer of 35K OTD from another South Cal Dealer in Alhambra...
Please verify that and I will really appreciate if you can forward me the quote. Thanks in advance!
Yes, it was with a nav system. Quote was in form of an email, so not an "official" quote.
Good luck with your search. Which color are you going for? Have you had any luck getting a "written offer" from any dealer that you can take with you to other dealers to match?
Larry
I went in well-prepared (many thanks to all in this forum) and had a good sales rep and straight-forward GM (which was a pleasant surprise since the last time I purchased an Acura they wouldn't deal and I was forced to travel over an hour away to NH to get my deal). These factors all combined to make it happen.
Got for just below invoice at $32185 (plus destination, TTL, and doc fee). I was happy with this deal as apparantly a Black 6MT with navi and quartz is in short supply here in the NE (plenty of 5 spd automatics, but not nearly as many 6 spd manuals with navi and my preferred color combo).
Can't wait to take delivery!
Let me know if you get anything better.
